Hacienda Bajamar

Hacienda type vibe. Staff was very accommodating Restaurant was very good with many choices. Maid cleaning services daily. Water bottles provided. Golf resort was gorgeous. I’d stay here again.

Buen hotel en general , la suite espaciosa, excelentes vistas , necesita renovar la televisión mala señal , no estaba funcionando el jacuzzi, muy buen buffet.

Stayed in a Junior Suite with husband and 2 kids (4yo and 7yo). Great living space and kitchen. Isolated from town but close for day trips to Valle and Ensenada. Pool was under repair in March, which is probably why the suite was reasonably priced. Highly recommend for families.

Definitely going back, been telling my friends all about it. Golf course was in good condition 7.5-10, the drive from the inland empire only took 3 hrs. Room was very clean, we had the suite super spacious. Puerto Nuevo is only 15 minutes away for amazing food. I was hitting off the 17 hole Tee box with a whale swimming in the ocean!

This property is clean, easy to access, has parking and amenities (pool & restaurant). It is family friendly.

The staff was friendly and helpful, Some speak English for those who need it. It is in golf course so it's closed out and secluded giving a safe vibe I actually left my windows cracked in my car and the windows open in the hotel. The room was spotless and cozy. A restaurant right next next to it and a spa which was wonderful. I can't wait to to go back

We love Hacienda Bajamar for its peace and quiet. The property feels very safe, with beautiful ocean views as you drive in and well-kept grounds surrounded by nature. The staff is friendly, the restaurant food is excellent, and the rooms are spacious and clean with large towels and bottled water provided. Everything is dated — from the furniture and beds to the TVs, which only have a few channels, so bring a Roku or Fire Stick. The pool isn’t very inviting since it’s enclosed by walls, and the spa is small and simple, a bit overpriced but still decent. There’s no heating in the rooms, so pack a small heater during colder months. Despite these details, we keep coming back because it’s peaceful, quiet, and feels genuine. It’s not a luxury resort — more of a comfortable three-star hotel — but it’s clean, safe, and offers great value. A relaxing place to unwind away from the city.

Quick weekend getaway from San Diego. For the price the resort is a good value. Older rooms but clean. Staff was super friendly, close to downtown Ensenada and a 45 minute trip to Valle de Guadalupe. We will definitely come back!

Love Bajamar location, away from city noise and party animals. Food at restaurant is pricey but good and can’t complain about the view around facilities. Gardens are well kept and beautiful. But our stay at Hacienda hotel was disappointing, white towels were old and dirty, rooms are hacienda style but need to be taken care of, entry and patio doors need gaskets around them to keep room comfortable, definitely the patio doors need to be upgraded to doubled glass with better insulation. Still will return but next time I will ask for newer set of towels.

Love the Hacienda, but needs more cleaning inside the hotels. Maybe because is very hacienda looking but there were spiders and spider webs in the rooms and halls. Wish they had fire pits to sit outside the hacienda and relax/chill with friends. Water from the shower was salty. Needs some TLC.

Our stay was very short due to unforeseen circumstances, so we weren't able to really experience the home (just stayed overnight). But everything was as expected, clean and nicely appointed. I'd definitely return. Thank you!

Food at restaurant was really good. Hotel is outdated but clean. Due to weather unable to use pool. Wish shower towels were whiter. Would recommend and will return.

Clean room and excellent service

bed sheets very old with stains, smell very bad, furniture old and damaged unable to sit down at bedroom little table and chairs, no tv channels, never come back again ;(

Bajamar has made many upgrades including wifi access to the rooms and aesthetics which looks great!

The property was amazing the food was delicious specially their pizza 10/10 had pasta and it was delicious as well. The mattress was to hard it felt like sleeping and the floor . 3 nights that I was there never had the opportunity to play golf it was close . But it’s a relaxing hotel if you like something calm

Rooms were very roomy. Would be nice to have outdoor seating and a table on the patio. Tried to have breakfast out there but only had two folding chairs.

Stayed for 1 night in late February 2023 due to a Bajaxl rally event. Was very disappointed. Room was 13 degrees C. Heater unit in room did not work. When we spoke with friends in other rooms, seemed like all rooms didn't have heat. Water that came out of facuets was salty. No refrigerator.

The rooms are super outdated, they smell old and the whole place could use renovation BUT I strongly believe the staff and price makeup for it. I’ve stayed here about 4 times and will keep coming back. The course is beautiful. I always feel safe and welcomed.

Room was spacious and comfortable. Bed matress was hard, air conditioner and ceiling fan were outdate and made a lot of noise. Water seeps through shower door causing a puddle in bathroom. Towels are old but dry very well. Restaurant and bartender were excellent. Ask for Francisco at the bar, he make excelent drinks.

Bajamar is a very safe and beautiful area. The dining options are limited but 15-20 min to some good options. The rooms are spacious but lack some comfort. For example the patio was huge but had only two folding chairs to sir on and no table. Would had been nice to enjoy with a simple table and chairs not too expensive for such. A little upgrade here and there and it all comes together. I will be back. Just would like a bit more to the simple things that dont cost much but would go a long way

No kitchen ,no view, clean room We are residents at baja mar and have always brought family to stay when they come visit. (8-10 times in this year) We called and let them know that my son would not make it down from LA in time for his day of a 2night stay, this was 2 days before the event, I knew we had just missed the cut off date for no fee on cancelation by 1 day and asked politely if they would allow us the courtesies of not charging, they refused. We love this place and it has never been over booked in a year since we have lived here. I called, went in person and contacted the hotel via hotels .com and got no response. I think exceptions can be made, whatever. We probably will get a rollaway for our home next time we have family staying over.

The restaurant staff was amazing but the reception desk not so much, they seemed to be annoyed every time we asked a question.

Bad service at the restaurant. Took over 45 minutes before they asked what we wanted to drink and another 20 minutes before they asked what we wanted to eat.

The personnel were friendly and happy because it was evident everyone enjoyed working together to make our stay special.

Always love returning to this place. It is a quick drive north to Puerto Nuevo for lobster or south to Valle de Guadalupe

This is beautiful location in a private property. The staff is very friendly, the restaurant has delicious food and there’s an 18 hole golf course that I’m told (by my partner) that is excellent. It is located 30 minutes from Ensenada, 30 to Valle de Guadalupe, and 25 min to Puerto Nuevo. Only improvement that I recommend is better quality mattress and covers but it was okay. We will definitely return to this hotel again. Highly recommend!!

Is secluded and nice views

Sin lugar a dudas es imperdible si vas a ensenada, lo malo es que esta lejos de todo, pero vale la pena por la belleza y tranquilidad del lugar. Un poco viejas las instalaciones pero sin perder ese toque de hacienda mexicana

Location and staff were wonderful out of traffic and city noises

Instalaciones muy bonitas, agradables, vistas preciosas, el campo de golf excelente, alberca limpia, muy tranquilo todo. Solo algunos puntos: 1) la reservación se realizó por medio de Expedia. La reservación fue para 3 adultos y 1 niño. Incluía desayuno. Al llegar al check in y confirmar estos datos solo comentan que si incluye desayunos pero solo dos. No se me hizo correcto puesto que reserve y pague para 4. 2) al dia siguiente al pasar a desayunar, resulta que el desayuno continental es 1 café, 1 pan, y mini fruta. O si lo prefería canjearlo por $100 de descuento en el buffett de desayunos. 3) no estaba disponible la carta del restaurante, era forzoso tomar el buffet. El costo del buffet es de $490 adultos y $390 niños. 4) la observación no es por precios, si no, la manera de enganchar y decir las mentiras a medias. Hago esta observación para que se tomen en consideración. 5) mi niña sufrió un accidente en la alberca, corrí al lobby por apoyo con el botiquín, resultó que no tienen Botiquín ni nada que se le asemeje. NADA pudieron ofrecernos de ayuda. Por lo que este para mi punto es un FOCO ROJO para un RESORT como este.

I really enjoyed my stay. I will be going back every time i have to visit Grandma in Ensenada. Comfy room, delicious buffet and great amenities.

The food was amazing. The buffet was 10/10. I will stay here again. I totally recommend it very quiet. Everybody minds their own business. It’s amazing.

Property easy to get to, looks nice going into. My complaint is the restaurant felt very unwelcoming servers were not helpful at all when asking questions. Had the tortilla soup and Bajamar salad were the chicken did not taste good and the fried mozzarella stick was very dark probably due to oil. I would sent back but to wave down a server was very hard, I proceeded to eat and felt very sick throughout the night, and following morning. I avoid the restaurant all together my next night stay and decided to drive to Ensenada for lunch and dinner :(

As guests who chose your resort based on its acclaimed reputation, we feel deceived and profoundly disappointed by this experience. It is unacceptable for any guest to be subjected to such poor quality, especially when they are paying a significant amount for what should be a top-tier experience. We believe it is only fair to inform you that we plan to share our discontent on social media to alert potential guests about the deceptive marketing and the actual substandard service provided. Esta vez no puedo darles excelente. Queríamos ver un partido por tv abierta y no se pudo.no hay canales. El desayuno no estuvo bueno, el café lo llevaron mucho tiempo después que los platillos, pedimos descafeinado y nos dieron regular.
