nice enough room but layout was wrong for three beds , which meant no bedside table for second single bed! the air con would not run on cooler so spent a rather hot night! the shower curtain was toooo high above floor in consequence the whole bathroom floor was splashed and wet whilst showering. Told reception on leaving and her responce was I must have had too much pressure running?

Comfortable separate bedroom and very comfy recliner chairs in lounge. Kitchen has hobs for cooking. Very clean and friendly service from the staff. Plenty of parking. Still handy for walking into Te Pae convention centre (16 mins) or Riverbank Market further on.

A quiet stay for three nights. Room large, recliners comfortable and kitchen well equipped. My only negative (and it is a small whinge) is the shower head squirted straight out the door while turning on the tap. Getting in first before turning it on wasn't pleasant with cold water spraying. If you want a quiet room ask for the rear block me.

The Lodge is ideally located for seeing Christchurch. It has great facilities inside the unit to meet all of my needs. The staff were very friendly and professional. There needs to be at least two saucepans (there was only one) to make it easier to undertake the cooking.

Clean and spacious, a little stuffy as no aircon in the room but good heating for colder times i would think. The only let down was reception not open as advertised to check out, inconvenient but sorted easily enough

9月の半ばにかけて、1週間ほど滞在しました。手ごろな価格ですが、客室設備は充実しています。専用キッチン（コンロ、流し、電子レンジ、冷蔵庫など）、バスルーム（シャワードーム・洗面台・トイレ）付きです。寒さに弱いアジア系にはありがたい電気毛布やパネルヒーター（結構強力）も装備されています。大聖堂など街の中心部からはやや離れた立地ですが、バス停が徒歩圏内に複数あります。中心部まで歩く場合、徒歩30～40分程度だと思います（※比較的治安は良い街ですが、夜の1人歩きは避けてください）。数日滞在するのであれば、バスカードを購入した方が便利です。なお、スーパーなど日用品を買える店は徒歩圏内にはありません（徒歩30～40分程度かかります）。飲食店は徒歩圏内に複数あるのでそちらで食事するか、バスである程度まとめて買い出しに行った方が早いと思います。運が良ければ、長毛の看板猫ちゃんにも会えます。天気が良い日は敷地内で散歩していることが多いです。そっと近づいてかがんだ状態で話しかけると、挨拶してくれます。触られるのはあまり好きでないようですが、人懐っこい猫ちゃんです。唯一気になったのが接客面。人手不足で本来はレセプション対応のアジア系のマネージャーさん一人で清掃を含めて回してらっしゃるようで、余裕がない印象を受けました。ニュージーランドのバックパッカーやモーテルはスタッフさんが結構気さくに話しかけてくださることが多いのですが、ここは一切ありませんでした。そもそも、客の名前を一貫して把握しない（いつチェックアウト予定かも把握してない）宿は初めて見ました。お願いすればタクシーやツアー手配などもやっていただける宿もありますが、こちらはとにかく頼みづらい雰囲気です。「空港に早朝に行かなければいけないが、良い交通手段はあるか？」とカタコトの英語で聞いた時は「タクシーしかない。自分で予約して」とタクシーの連絡先カードを渡して終わりでした。ここで更に「電話予約してもらうことはできるか？」とは言いづらい雰囲気でした。よって、各種手配をある程度自分でできる方でないと厳しいと思います。また、清掃面もやや難ありです。ほぼ毎日清掃をお願いしていたのですが、タオル類の交換とごみの回収はやっていただいたものの、ごみがそのまま落ちている状態がしばしばありました。人手が足りないのであれば、「滞在中の清掃やリネン交換は依頼がある場合のみ（依頼がなければやらない）」などのシステムに変えても良いのではないかと思います。

Excellent value for money. Lovely hotel with seperate bedroom. Bed was super comfortable. Bathroom was modern and beautiful with great shower pressure. Could easily walk to downtown Chch. Only niggle was we stayed on a Saturday and Sunday night and the Saturday night we struggled to get to sleep by 1am due to the traffic noise. Not really the cars but the noise from boy racer exhausts.

This was our second time staying here. The size of the family units work well for our girls weekend. Some areas of the rooms are showing wear and tear, but it is nothing off putting. The location great. A 1.5km walk into the city centre and nightlife. Also walkable to Merivale Mall. It can be a little noisy from street traffic, but nothing overly concerning. Staff is wonderful. Will definitely stay again.

Property was fine. The chap running the place seemed to be new at the job. We ordered breakfast for two days and at $12 per petson per day it is quite expensive for what you get. Not worth the money. This was our second time staying here. The size of the family units work well for our girls weekend. Some areas of the rooms are showing wear and tear, but it is nothing off putting. The location great. A 1.5km walk into the city centre and nightlife. Also walkable to Merivale Mall. It can be a little noisy from street traffic, but nothing overly concerning. Staff is wonderful. Will definitely stay again.

so I reached the place about 1 AM and reception was closed. Did not know they closed at (PM. However a note was left on the door with location of a lockbox and room number. went well. Next day went to office to thank them for the service and was rudely asked why I had not called and did I not know that they close at 9PM; why no email and no they do not send emails because they may not get to me (!). I felt very unwelcome indeed. They place itself was nice and comfortable and housekeeping was great. Wifi is a bit spotty. Rather liked it for the 5 days I was there but no I would not bool again because, at the very least, I should not feel unwelcome
