Great place to stay, friendly staff, plenty of parking and comfortable room. Full cooked breakfast if you want it was most enjoyable. Full pub facilities also on site for a relaxing drink. Best measure is always would you stay again ? - and that’s a resounding yes

Everything was ok apart from the lack of wifi or any mobile signal. If you need to use your phone or laptop you will not be able to. Mobile date signal is non-existent and the pubs wifi does not work at all

entering the car park was a little discouraging as it's shared with a garage and the car park was run down with battered cars/parts about. Once in the pub, the staff were lovely, helpful, the room was huge but bathroom tiny, the corridor was very dark and didn't notice a light switch. On the plus side, the staff couldn't do enough to help, the food was amazing, the breakfast full of flavour. We had a good laugh with the staff and will be returning again as soon as we can. I would thoroughly recommend staying here ..... but won't as i would be worried there won't be any rooms left for us!!

Nice pub, good parking , rooms ok , could do with an update . Good beer and food , nice simple breakfast . Let down by no wifi in room and weak mobile signal , shower screen missing for some reason . Beds were comfortable, spacious , quiet room . Bit of TLC and would be spot on .

No Wi-Fi at all in the bedrooms, and the Wi-Fi in Bar is INCREDIBLY poor - we were unable to complete the work we needed to do during our stay and had to go to a nearby Coffee shop to work. Breakfast below average, no cereal, fruit or buffet etc just a below average cooked breakfast. Sadly, won't be returning.

We stayed for one night and woke up very itchy and covered in bites. We didn’t think too much of it until we left and realised they were bed bug bites. Very disappointing.

we arrived at 8.30, thankfully we'd eaten as they stop serving food at 8. we had to go into a very busy bar and book in, Jess behind the bar was very friendly but couldn't find the room key, she tried to ring the manager & the cleaner but to no avail. she then said she had a twin room, but we didn't want a twin we had ordered a double, so she found us another room... 2 and shew us up..... this is where it went downhill very quickly, the room was freezing as no heating was on, not good in Dec. there was an oil heater so we plugged that in, and put the kettle on for a cuppa. had a look about, there was mould on the skirting board, a plug socket was hanging off the wall the bathroom was very tired to say the least with more mould. after about 1/2 hour i said to the wife i'm going to see if there's a different room as i wasn't happy with the condition. i spoke to Jess again who said they had lost the key to our original room but she had a twin and we were welcome to have a look and see if we wanted it, we could push the beds together. a few minutes later there was a knock at the door and Ben the manager was there with the original room key no 7, OH NO we'd read reviews about this room, there is an emergency light that is so bright you don't need the main light on, i commented on it and was told very bluntly it is fire safety and nothing can be done, bad move bud that's my business fire safety and i know you can get a light without the green led. the room itself was ok tho,

Only 1 towel between 2, was also dirty. WiFi wouldn't connect. TV controller not working. Toilet constantly running, staff totally disinterested as 'not part of my job'. Oily breakfast, tea and toast ok.

The pub and staff were lovely, food at night was very good but breakfast was disappointing. However it was included in the price. It was just a let down after such a lovely evening meal. I was disappointed with the room, at first it looked lovely but it was only surface clean. We then realized it did not have curtains, just a Venetian blind that let the light in. With a bright moon and outside lights this this led to not much sleep. The blind was also thick with dust. A pair of curtains would have made this room. For the money it was as expected, you pay your money you take your choice. However I would pay more in future to have a good night's sleep.

Staff were very friendly and breakfast was nice. Nice pub that seems popular and I had dinner which was also very good and good value. Room location was way away from the pub so even though it was loud I couldnt hear it from the room which was better than other pubs I've stayed at. However TV didnt work and nor did wifi in the room. The 'double' bed was 2 twins pushed together and you could really feel it. Couldnt open windows. It wasnt too hot so was okay but must be a furnace when it hits the high 20s. Breakfast was nice but you're put right next to the kitchen and can hear them quite loud and in and out of the swinging door. Quite a strong smell of bleach or line cleaner in the morning which i read on other reviews. Fine for oncle night but wouldn't personally stay for more than that.

Overall a great place to stay - an old pub and hotel so ‘quirky’ and that suited us. Friendly staff, great breakfast. Didn’t eat in restaurant so no comment. Bed comfortable, but room lacked clothes storage for a long stay. Ended up with 3 rooms instead of the two booked (no extra cost) because of a broken lock, but that made our stay better. Staff were really helpful. No instructions in the room so couldn’t work the internet or the television but was only there for two nights and visiting family so didn’t spend much time there to worry - no doubt the staff could have explained. Some issues with maintenance, but again all part of staying in a reasonable, well priced, and old pub/hotel. Travel and access easy and plenty of parking. Main comment - we enjoyed our stay, it was ideal for our needs and will use the again.

This is a perfectly ok pub with rooms. The food was amazing and the room was basic but clean. sadly I hardly slept due to the smoke alarm which was big, right above the bed and had a bright green light. It was honestly like trying to sleep under a green spotlight 😳

A good old style pub with lots of little rooms. Free parking at the back. A few outdoor spaces with tables and chairs. Good sized clean rooms. Breakfast was very good, small choice but great good english breakfast. Only downside was the shower in our room was against the window and due to water running onto the window it was in a poor state as was some of the tiling.

Quaint. Room 6 convenient location. Definitely 3*. Bath cracked at head end but new. New shower curtain but shower button broken so hard to switch on. Basin new but taps hard to turn off. Window in bathroom awful, paint flaking off and black marks. Needs replacing desperately. More hooks please. Bedroom large with dark wood furniture. No wifi in room but good in pub. Clean sheets and good towels. 2 radiators to keep room warm and can turn up or down. Lighting is poor. Bedside lamps fine but main ceiling light is weak so not enough light in the room. Carpet in room old fashioned but looked clean. Very good breakfast. No idea when it started or finished nor were we told when we had to vacate room. Good for town visit . Remember 3* ...no more.
Quaint. Room 6 convenient location. Definitely 3*. Bath cracked at head end but new. New shower curtain but shower button broken so hard to switch on. Basin new but taps hard to turn off. Window in bathroom awful, paint flaking off and black marks. Needs replacing desperately. More hooks please. Bedroom large with dark wood furniture. No wifi in room but good in pub. Clean sheets and good towels. 2 radiators to keep room warm and can turn up or down. Lighting is poor. Bedside lamps fine but main ceiling light is weak so not enough light in the room. Carpet in room old fashioned but looked clean. Very good breakfast. No idea when it started or finished nor were we told when we had to vacate room. Good for town visit . Remember 3* ...no more.

Warm welcome, allowed to check-in early which was what we needed. Room was warm, beds were comfortable and breakfast (included in the price) was lovely. A very hospitable place, which I would recommend to friends and would definitely stay here again.

The staff at the bar was super friendly and went out of her way to help with travel arrangements into the City. The food was really good and good value too. Room was clean and big size, and it was great as a change from the same old Travellodge experience.

On check in we got told the kitchen closed at 20:00. We went to order food at 19:55 a bit last minute. The barmaid told us the kitchen was closed and we could only have a chip butty we accepted this and sat down with a drink. 20 minutes later the same barmaid served a couple with a full menu and was very rude when challenged on this. I stay in this place a lot but I don't think I will again. This woman should not be in a customer facing role.

On arrival we were dealt with promptly but rushed. Room was tired and some bits of the decor needed attention. However it was clean and functional. Filling the kettle was awkward as it wouldn’t fit under the tap. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the staff very friendly.

Spacious clean room with fresh air and natural light. I had a quiet and comfortable stay. They cooked fresh breakfast everyday with table service. As a vegetarian they catered to my dietary preferences. The dinner served in the pub was excellent too. Staff were friendly and welcoming, hassle free check in and check out. The place felt safe, convenient and is in a great location. Even the locals and other guests that I met during my stay there were friendly. The only negative thing is that the bathroom needs some work done. Although it was clean and functioning, the sink taps were dripping, shower tap was hard to stop. Tiles around the bathroom were loose, the window frame wood paint has come off and is exposed to water from the shower.

Ideal place for me to stay when going to Trent Bridge to watch cricket.Just off the M1,car parking and a bus to Nottingham from just outside.Good price,nice room and a great breakfast.Its a nice pub as well.

Staff were very friendly and breakfast was nice. Nice pub that seems popular and I had dinner which was also very good and good value. Room location was way away from the pub so even though it was loud I couldnt hear it from the room which was better than other pubs I've stayed at. However TV didnt work and nor did wifi in the room. The 'double' bed was 2 twins pushed together and you could really feel it. Couldnt open windows. It wasnt too hot so was okay but must be a furnace when it hits the high 20s. Breakfast was nice but you're put right next to the kitchen and can hear them quite loud and in and out of the swinging door. Quite a strong smell of bleach or line cleaner in the morning which i read on other reviews. Fine for oncle night but wouldn't personally stay for more than that.

Plenty of parking, adequate room although it could do with a spruce up. Bathroom was a bit tatty with wood rot on the window frame due to shower being next to it. Poor breakfast. (No vegetarian option) just a ‘normal’ breakfast without sausage or bacon. Instant coffee and cartons of milk rather than real coffee. Staff friendly enough though. Probably would find somewhere else next time.

No Wi-Fi at all in the bedrooms, and the Wi-Fi in Bar is INCREDIBLY poor - we were unable to complete the work we needed to do during our stay and had to go to a nearby Coffee shop to work. Breakfast below average, no cereal, fruit or buffet etc just a below average cooked breakfast. Sadly, won't be returning.

Friendly staff. food good. The bedroom could have abetter layout with a smaller double bed to allow bed side tables and lamps. Biscuits left with the tea making facilities would be a bonus as would a larger tv. Bathroom was adequate. Restaurant ok with some nice menu options. Breakfast options quite limited compared with other B/Bs we've stayed in. Prefer a buffet style set up where you can choose what you want . The cooked breakfast was adequate though.

Nice pub, with a couple of decent real ales, and OK but tired bedrooms that could do with a thorough dusting. During two separate 4-day stays I had to ask at the bar for more shower gel - two small sachets just weren’t enough for four days of showers!..

Rooms very dated and beds not so comfy but the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We ate in the pub and the food was great as was the breakfast in the morning. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

We were delayed for checking in but staff helped us to to come in late. Communication was clear and everyone we spoke to was really helpful. Breakfast was really good and freshly cooked.
