This location was a hidden gem. The outside doesn’t look like much but the room was completely renovated. But because it’s an amazing location, the cost per night was more expensive than an entire cabin near Port Arthur. But it was between Christmas and NYE 2024. There was wifi but it wasn’t strong enough for my partner to watch Kayo or other streaming services.

Good location for a quick drive down to the Beach or walkable if you are a bit fitter than me. Internet good. Cabin lounge and kitchen area spacious. Main bedroom cramped as bed takes up most of the room but second bedroom meant we could spread out. Bathroom small and water temp hard to sort out. Stove top not working very well and hard to heat the frying pan. Basic accomodation.

It was fine. New owners just settling in I think. It was very quiet. We stayed in a unit, with parking right outside. The toilet wasn't properly clean, but everything else was OK, just shabby. Old style bathroom, not like the photos of the units. It was all accessible, but nowhere to put anything in the shower. Shower was good though. Rooms were tiny, so no room for bedside tables. There was a wardrobe, with shelves to use, but nowhere to really fit a suitcase in the master (the shelf was big enough for our small suitcase in the twin). Beds were comfortable. The frypans could be replaced. The gardens would have been beautiful, but needed a bit of attention. It's a bit out of town, which is fine with a car and very quiet. Overall, as long as your expectations are for a budget motel, it's fine - good.

Coffee cups were dirty. Heater was ineffective. When trying to use the shower for the first time, the shower head/hose flew off the bracket on the wall and sprayed water everywhere in bathroom. Used intercom at the office door to report problem and request a mop, but was told someone would be there later to fix it.

This property has the potential to be excellent but needs maintenance. The bathroom and toilet lights don’t work, the shower does not drain away and we were unable to use saucepans because they were not clean. The tea towel was also poor quality with stains all over it.

The motel is warm, clean and comfortable. The owner provided fantastic service. She provided recommendations for dinner and breakfast the next day. She also went above and beyond to ship me items of clothing that I left behind by mistake. Would definitely stay again.

Bathroom was freezing cold even with heat lamps on, too bright with the morning sun coming in even with blinds down. Communication very poor, no one at reception and had to wait 20 mins for a phone call back to get into room. Charged our card and FEES without checking as we had arranged to pay on arrival.

We were upgraded from our twin room to 2 bedroom cabin. It was a cute little cabin, and was very clean. We stayed for only one night but would love to come back and stay for longer. Thank you for the stay.

Nice quiet motel, 5min walk to the beautiful Redbill Beach, and a 3min drive to the town centre. The staff were absolutely wonderful. We stayed in the family room which was cosy and clean. Facilities were in good working order. Toaster, kettle and a small fridge were all adequate for our needs. Soap and shampoo was supplied, but you'll need to bring your own face washer and shower cap.

Staff courteous… older building but clean & well maintained…. only a block from beach access …walking distance from ‘downtown’ Bicheno. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Staff courteous… older building but clean & well maintained…. only a block from beach access …walking distance from ‘downtown’ Bicheno. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The motel is warm, clean and comfortable. The owner provided fantastic service. She provided recommendations for dinner and breakfast the next day. She also went above and beyond to ship me items of clothing that I left behind by mistake. Would definitely stay again.

We were very happy with our stay. Had a lovely meal at The Lobster Pot on the water front.

Whilst our room was aesthetically pleasing, it lacked quality. The bathroom plug was broken and the grout in the tiles needed proper cleaning. Our fridge leaked water, as the freezer was clogged with ice. The staff were amiable and helpful. The bbq area was not attractive and the pool looked very uninviting. There was no ambiance, just a metal fence.There were no bins outside for recycling. We were overall comfortable with a nice outdoor setting and lounge chairs. The room was spacious, and offered a toaster, kettle and a few plates and glasses. There was no cleaning sponges, tea towel, or brush and shovel. Given that the room was not serviced over our 4 days, these items would have been useful.
