We loved the yummy breakfasts served right to our room. The bed was really comfortable and the room was very clean. Very friendly staff. Enjoyed the hot tub and the mountain view. Would definitely come again. Suggestion’s would be a higher toilet ( easier for older people) and a bigger TV with a movie channel or access to ordering a movie. Other than that it was awesome.

We had a great experience here and will be returning in the future. The staff are amazing and you can't beat the breakfast service. We stayed for 3 nights and spent our days exploring and hiking. We felt very at-home and enjoyed relaxing in the room and on the private patio after a tiring day. I was happy to be able to use the hot tub and have it to ourselves. I usually don't use the hot tubs or pools because they are crowded and noisy, but not here. It was very relaxing! I should also add the bed was comfortable and the towels were plush. And they even provided bath robes. Our room had a big soaker tub, which we didn't use because the hot tub was available but I'm sure it would have been great. We highly recommend staying here!

The perfect middle ground between larger format hotels, and very expensive air-b&b options Check in staff were excellent. Accommodated a late check in, and were friendly and helpful. The building and the grounds are beautifully up-kept. The design of the room is a little awkward with the shower in the middle of the living space, but that’s the only thing. Hot tub area is private, and super clean too.

This is a very nice quite location. The building and rooms are on the small side but very nice. Not super modern but still in good condition. The hot tub was always quiet and so nice to use in the evening. Parking was a bit tight and a gravel lot with huge potholes so be aware! No real view from our room other than the treed yard, but it was nice and private. Staff was very friendly. Included breakfast was awesome, but it would be nice if they asked how you wanted it cooked. I don't like runny eggs and hot sauce but that's what I got. You only get a choice of the time you get breakfast, not what you get. Still, a very nice place and I would definitely return. Thanks!

In a quiet location with view of the mountains. Love the quaint lodge decor and that each room has a patio or balcony. They also served an amazing home cooked breakfast delivered right to our room. Will be back next time we visit Canmore !

Amazing place, the people that work here are the warmest and kindest!! I think the room we were in could use an update for the bathroom/tub in room situation, it didn’t drain properly and smelled a little funny but other than that it was incredible and I’d highly recommend!

It feel like those sleepy 80s motels that have vibrating round beds lol. It was decently clean but I feel it needs a renovation and updating. The tv should have been a smart tv, who really watches cable anymore?

Stayed overnight on a Monday, we were greeted by very friendly staff who checked us in even before the stated check in hours. We were told about the breakfast delivery hours, asked about dietary restrictions and preferences. Breakfast was dropped off at the exact time we requested with fresh coffee fruits and a fantastic overall meal. Room was clean and had amazing views of the mountains. Hotel is on the less busy side of Canmore but still walking distance to a few shops and a very nice restaurant. The price point was much lower than other hotels in this area and delivered MUCH more overall. Absolutely would recommend anybody to stay here, and probably will myself.

What a great place to stay! Views are spectacular in this quaint little Inn - we woke up to an absolutely amazing sunrise over the three sisters - visible right from our bed. The staff was very friendly, and pointed us to a nice restaurant next door for dinner (beyond that restaurant, you'll need to drive into town for food). Breakfast, included with the room, was one of the better breakfasts I've had at any sort of hotel; and it was delivered to our door at a predetermined time. We stayed in the Honeymoon suite which has a hot tub in the room. Something I didn't realize is that the hot tub is also the shower - which is a little weird... So you're showering right in the room. There is a shower curtain, but it's just one step away from the bed. Not necessarily a bad thing, but was a little unusual. I would happily stay here again.

During our recent stay at the Bear and Bison Country Inn, we found it to be significantly overpriced for the experience it offers. The accommodation feels outdated, reminiscent of the 1970s rather than a modern, comfortable inn. We stayed 3 nights over the busy Canada Day long weekend and paid $610 per night, including all taxes and fees. The inn is also a fair distance from the Canmore town center, about a 30-minute walk. In the interest of fairness, there were some positives: 1. A great breakfast delivered to the room. 2. The Iron Goat, an excellent pub right next door serving phenomenal Duck Wings. 3. Super premium toilet paper (no, really, this is the gold standard from now on) However, for the price point, the overall experience was disappointing. Here are the main issues: - The lack of a proper bathroom: there was a jet/soaker tub literally in the room and a tiny separate toilet with a sink - without vanity - The soaker tub was super dated, with a shower curtain and a broken hot water handle. - The carpet... hello 70s, though it was clean. - The mattress was extremely bouncy and had probably seen better days. - There was no wardrobe or place to hang clothes. - On the afternoon of Canada Day, the lawn outside our window was maintained with loud and smelly equipment for at least 30 min. Overall, for over $600 per night, I expected a much higher standard of accommodation and amenities. This review reflects the high price and the unmet expectations associated with it.

We were baffled to find a bathtub as soon as we walked in to the room. The bathtub takes so much space of the small room. Getting in and out was a hassle too. Very awkward to take a shower in the middle of a room. I didn’t realize it at the time of booking, but now when I look at those cleverly taken pictures, I can see it. Toilet is very small as well. Air conditioning is not great either. Having said that, we loved this place. It has very cozy and well maintained. The entire staff and owners are very nice people and made every effort to make our stay memorable. Best thing is their breakfast. Very well made and well presented. They took care of our dietary restrictions and made special arrangements for us. Than you for that.

This had a 9.4 when I booked it, and was probably the first time I've been disappointed with a hotel with that kind of rating. On one hand, its very quaint and nice, definitely unique, nicely decorated, and had a good atmosphere. But the lack of amenities was a problem for me. There was no coffee/hot water kettle in the room (but they did have an ironing board?!). The room was very cold at night, with no thermostat for me to adjust. To make matters worse, there is no one at the front desk after around 7, so since I arrived later in the evening, there was no one to ask for help. Serving breakfast would be very nice, but they only will serve it between 8:15 and 9:30 - which are pretty limited hours. On the one day that I did get the breakfast, it was fabulous.

Stayed overnight on a Monday, we were greeted by very friendly staff who checked us in even before the stated check in hours. We were told about the breakfast delivery hours, asked about dietary restrictions and preferences. Breakfast was dropped off at the exact time we requested with fresh coffee fruits and a fantastic overall meal. Room was clean and had amazing views of the mountains. Hotel is on the less busy side of Canmore but still walking distance to a few shops and a very nice restaurant. The price point was much lower than other hotels in this area and delivered MUCH more overall. Absolutely would recommend anybody to stay here, and probably will myself.

The front desk people were really friendly and polite. We were able to enjoy our stay with no issues or noise. The view was amazing to look at in the morning especially with our room service breakfast which was included with stay. I definitely will stay there the next time I’m in Banff! Great spot, second time here and will absolutely be returning for a third. Never a let down, the breakfast in bed is incredible, strongly recommend if you are on the fence. Close to the town too, but spaced enough for quiet and privacy. Mountain views in the morning make for a truly romantic experience.

What a great place to stay! Views are spectacular in this quaint little Inn - we woke up to an absolutely amazing sunrise over the three sisters - visible right from our bed. The staff was very friendly, and pointed us to a nice restaurant next door for dinner (beyond that restaurant, you'll need to drive into town for food). Breakfast, included with the room, was one of the better breakfasts I've had at any sort of hotel; and it was delivered to our door at a predetermined time. We stayed in the Honeymoon suite which has a hot tub in the room. Something I didn't realize is that the hot tub is also the shower - which is a little weird... So you're showering right in the room. During our recent stay at the Bear and Bison Country Inn, we found it to be significantly overpriced for the experience it offers. The accommodation feels outdated, reminiscent of the 1970s rather than a modern, comfortable inn. We stayed 3 nights over the busy Canada Day long weekend and paid $610 per night, including all taxes and fees. The inn is also a fair distance from the Canmore town center, about a 30-minute walk. In the interest of fairness, there were some positives: 1. A great breakfast delivered to the room. 2. The Iron Goat, an excellent pub right next door serving phenomenal Duck Wings. 3. Super premium toilet paper (no, really, this is the gold standard from now on) However, for the price point, the overall experience was disappointing. Here are the main issues: - The lack of a proper bathroom: there was a jet/soaker tub literally in the room and a tiny separate toilet with a sink - without vanity - The soaker tub was super dated, with a shower curtain and a broken hot water handle. - The carpet... hello 70s, though it was clean. - The mattress was extremely bouncy and had probably seen better days. - There was no wardrobe or place to hang clothes. - On the afternoon of Canada Day, the lawn outside our window was maintained with loud and smelly equipment for at least 30 min. Overall, for over $600 per night, I expected a much higher standard of accommodation and amenities. This review reflects the high price and the unmet expectations associated with it.

This is a very nice quite location. The building and rooms are on the small side but very nice. Not super modern but still in good condition. The hot tub was always quiet and so nice to use in the evening. Parking was a bit tight and a gravel lot with huge potholes so be aware! No real view from our room other than the treed yard, but it was nice and private. Staff was very friendly. Included breakfast was awesome, but it would be nice if they asked how you wanted it cooked. I don't like runny eggs and hot sauce but that's what I got. You only get a choice of the time you get breakfast, not what you get. Still, a very nice place and I would definitely return. Thanks!

We had a great experience here and will be returning in the future. The staff are amazing and you can't beat the breakfast service. We stayed for 3 nights and spent our days exploring and hiking. We felt very at-home and enjoyed relaxing in the room and on the private patio after a tiring day. I was happy to be able to use the hot tub and have it to ourselves. I usually don't use the hot tubs or pools because they are crowded and noisy, but not here. It was very relaxing! I should also add the bed was comfortable and the towels were plush. And they even provided bath robes. Our room had a big soaker tub, which we didn't use because the hot tub was available but I'm sure it would have been great. We highly recommend staying here!

We were pleasantly surprised with our stay at A Bear and Bison. Our room was very cozy, with its gas logs and soaker tub, but what put it over the top was the breakfast delivered to our room! I had expected a standard hotel breakfast served in their common area. Instead they brought a French press of coffee (could have requested tea), and a delicious 3 course breakfast of fruit, muesli/yogurt and a delicate eggs Benedict. It was a lovely way to start the day! Highly recommend!

It was excellently made, and well above what we imagined when it said "complimentary breakfast". The staff were great and super engaging; they even helped me surprise my wife with some chocolate strawberries upon arrival!
