The staff couldn't of been nicer. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast. Overall a nice little pub

Good location and parking, although not easy to find. Property in poor condition and TV in rooms not working. New owners, so may improve, but needs inspecting. .MD Xmas 2023

Lovely pub, fab welcome and superb food. The new owners are working hard to change things from the previous owners. We had a lovely evening, great dinner and fun night of board games. Thanks so much.

Staff excellent very friendly,breakfast lovely plentiful very tasty,a good selection of meals cooked there,had a steak cooked to perfection and chips to die for.rooms clean and well set out,got everything you need in there very short distance to pub area. Car parking very good.i stayed there 2 nights but definitely wanted to stay longer. Respect to the staff with there hard work they do and excellent service. Thank you pete

Busy village pub, very old so lots of low beams (banged my head going up the stairs; no signage, so that could be improved), friendly service, good beer, very good food, generous portions and excellent value for money. Excellent choice if you are in need of a room in the Cotswolds at a sensible price

Conveniently located, reasonable rates, and a accessible pub.

Nice old pub with lots of character. The rooms and communal areas are tired and worn. Cleanliness is lower than average, this place would really benefit from some tlc.

We stayed in Aragon for 2 nights when attending a wedding nearby. The hosts were friendly and welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable but could do with a few tweaks this did not mar our stay. However the food both at breakfast and evening was excellent with breakfast being outstanding. The property is period and as such is always going to have its niggles. Thank you for a lovely stay

Dinner only served until 5pm, breakfast starts at 9am which is no good for most business people who work past these times. Room had broken power socket, lumpy bed, toilet not fastened down, broken light in cupboard, dirty shelves, excessive noise from bar. Tried to contact hotel to cancel 2nd night, no answer at all and no one called me back after leaving a voicemail. Overall would not recommend staying here at all.

Great location and room was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated though bathroom need some maintenance shower door handle broken and blinds didn’t close to window ledge. Was quite noisy on my visit so unfortunately didn’t make for a restful stay.

Staff was very helpful. The room we had was clean and quiet and a lovely drive to Stratford.

Could be cleaner. Bed comfortable. Not particularly welcoming atmosphere. Good breakfast. Broken bathroom window with sharp edges. Did get moved to another room. Could do with information in the rooms.

Now to the nitty gritty - On check-in, we were told that the room we had booked wasn't available, but they would place us in another, larger room. The room was spacious and clean, and we were pleased with everything. Okay, the bed creaked and groaned with every breath, but 8ve slept in worse. We thought little of it and went out to our event in fantastic spirits. Arriving back late at night, we were hit with a cacophony of music at a volume that shook the furniture in our room. Fair enough, we thought, that's what you get for booking a room at a pub - we'll wait it out and then get some well needed shut eye. Unfortunately, we didn't allow for the pub having a 'lock in' and playing the music at full volume well into the early hours of the morning, when my partner snapped and complained to staff. I don't think that I'll be able to ever be able to listen to Carly Simon or Billy Joel again without wanting to force feed somebody their own knees. Despite this debacle, there was no apology, and we were left seething and unable to sleep. Heading into breakfast later that morning, we were faced with condiments that were covered with dust and hair and food (which like the evening before), which was rubbery and inedible. I know that some of this was my fault for booking accommodation at a pub, and failing to take heed of reviews, but there must be better places out there.

Stayed in room downstairs.Plus point a bath and a shower unfortunatly the shower had a variety of hairs still in it. bed was comfy. Some dust issues in bathroom too.sitting in the bar at the window lots of dead flies on window sill not good. The chef very unreliable did not show up to cook our breakfast on friday. Or monday we was not happy at all

Very tired and lots of dust on the edge. Bathroom was basic and heating and tv was not working. We ended up changing rooms. No bbc tv channel and WiFi was dodgy. Furniture was old and basic. Back to the 70s.

Really enjoyable stay. Friendly helpful owners. Large comfortable rooms and a lively outlook over the village green. Breakfast was really good quality and hot. Loved the history of the building, hence the room names. Would readily book again when in the area

We had breakfast in the morning (which was spot on) I cannot fault any part of it, best part was the bacon for me, or the sausages. Both were great. And throughout my stay the staff were lovely, I would happily stay again.

We were late but welcomed by the lovely staff at the College Arms, which I understand are under new management recently. We had breakfast in the morning (which was spot on) I cannot fault any part of it, best part was the bacon for me, or the sausages. Both were great. And throughout my stay the staff were lovely, I would happily stay again.

No meals available , advised of three other locals places to eat, one only does pizzas, one doesn’t take walk ins, the other is cash only Room was boiling hot, bathroom freezing ~ asked to have the bathroom rad on, never happened. Bed was so soft it was like a water bed …. Breakfast at 8, no one around, pub all locked up .. as we were packing up 35 mins later barman appeared, and said oh, we had some (more) kitchen issues so couldn’t open on time but what do you want for breakfast? No idea what’s on offer! Told whatever you want so a full English which was ok. Table dirty, no toast or bread offered, no cereal or fruit. Just a really poor experience

Beautiful, picturesque, and quaint yet very comfortable, clean and at a remarkably reasonable price, The College Arms was a real treat. Our bed was very comfortable, dinner and breakfast portions were very generous and very reasonably priced. We will certainly be back when next in the area.

For us this was perfect. We were there visiting gardens in the area, and 2 of our favorites were 7 minutes away! We took a walk the first day and just minutes from the hotel was a pasture full of sheep and lambs. Thatch roof cottages right around the corner. Rich with character. Lovely breakfast in the mornings, and tasty choices for supper. But the best perk was the people. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, evenings spent talking and sipping wine with new friends!
