Golden View Hotel

Despite being a hotel that is quite old, we appreciate that the room was renovated to a modern look and we like the beddings and stuff. However the bathroom was a let down because sewage odour kept escaping through the floor traps. To cover the smell, the housekeeping use urinal mat, commonly used in public men's toilet urinals, as deodoriser, making not only the bathroom but the whole room (in fact the whole floor) to smell like public toilet.

The room is spacious, we got the family room, during the stay there were few times power failure but restore quite fast, initially we got room 719, there was no power, then we asked for another room the front desk immediately gave us the replacement. Transport maybe a issues at times

Breakfast variety is Not as good as we thought. Overall it's good.

Spacious room, bathtub, big pool, generous breakfast, quiet surroundings, 15 minutes to Batam Centre. Excellent value for money.
