Det var fantastisk at bo i de gamle stuer som havde så meget charme. Haven var et paradis med 250 år gamle træer. Rundvisningen og vin-shoppen gir vi toppoint. Man kunne købe en flaske iskold prosecco i shoppen så lånte man bare glas og kunne sidde og nyde det i haven 👍. Morgenmaden var fin og blev serveret i lokalet ovenover vin-shoppen 👍. Særligt fortjener personalet meget stor ros for deres service, hjælpsomhed og ro. Personalet var meget smilende, imødekommende og nærværende. Vi besøger helt bestemt Castello Ron di Carde igen. Hilsen familien Ravn

Absolutely fabulous hotel/bed-and-breakfast. A medieval Castello Right in the center of town. Beautiful gardens, nice rooms a very nice reception area. There is an upstairs mezzanine for breakfast in the morning, which was very good. The proprietors were super friendly and courteous, and an absolute joy you can sit under big cedar trees outside and enjoy your wine. The whole place is stunning.

Location and staff were excellent and the wine shop’s service (which also acts as the reception) and free tastings were friendly, unpretentious and informative. However, we stayed in one of the apartments as we were travelling with our teenage sons and these were most certainly the ‘cheap seats’. I am sure if the villa/tower rooms are as per the website photos, and indeed the quality of the interior of the wine shop/cellar, then they would warrant the excellent reviews but our rooms, although characterful and spacious were somewhat tired and in need of renovation. They could be stunning. That said, the hotel provided us with a perfect base for a day trip to Venice on a long drive north through Italy. The local recommended restaurant La Rocca was also great.

The staff and the grounda are lovely but the "Baron' is taking your money and doesn't care one bit about making the rooms actually comfortable. If it weren't for the cleaning crew and staff there would really be no way of staying here at all. I get the whole castle aspect but the shower, windows and barking dog are a total no go. They have this dog locked up in a cage behind the rooms so you're hearing the poor animal bark all day and night starting at 5 am. The windows and shutters are literally as old as time so it's uncomfortable to open, close and maneuver them at all. The breakfast is poorly thought out and very chepa. I've run hotels and this place is a reflection of a cheap old ........

This was the most complete wine making discussion I have had after multiple trips in Virginia and 7 wineries in Napa. Great staff. A lovely and honest history lesson. the room was immaculate. it was our layover stop prior to going to the airport 20 min away. I wish I would have scheduled more time for this experience.

It's not often you get to stay inside a walled 16 century castle, with the code for the gate. This is a bed and breakfast, but the breakfast is weak. We had our own kitchen and were 100 yards from all the local shops, so no worry The staff were very helpful (and nice) -they made great dinner reservations for us. If you want comfortable authenticity rather than high luxury this would be very hard to beat

It was beautiful gardens and surroundings. We stayed in the Tower that had an elevator but the AC was out due to a recent storm. We had fans and were comfortable. We had to cross a moot to the pool . There are plenty of Restaurants and shopping within walking distance. We had a tour and wine tasting. Truly a great experience.

We loved our stay. It was like being taken back in time - our room was exceptional and we loved sitting out on the terrace taking in the gardens. Would highly recommend the on-site wine tasting as well. We think anyone who books to stay here will love it

It's not often you get to stay inside a walled 16 century castle, with the code for the gate. This is a bed and breakfast, but the breakfast is weak. We had our own kitchen and were 100 yards from all the local shops, so no worry The staff were very helpful (and nice) -they made great dinner reservations for us. If you want comfortable authenticity rather than high luxury this would be very hard to beat

The Castel is amazing. The breakfast was also excellent. There are many good places to eat that are walking distance. For us a big plus was also that it is only 25 minutes drive from the Venice airport.

It was like a movie set. We stayed in a unique environment in a magnificent castle from the Middle Ages. Their friendly staff welcomed us at check-in by offering us a glass of the wine they produce. Absolutely fabulous hotel/bed-and-breakfast. A medieval Castello Right in the center of town. Beautiful gardens, nice rooms a very nice reception area. There is an upstairs mezzanine for breakfast in the morning, which was very good. The proprietors were super friendly and courteous, and an absolute joy you can sit under big cedar trees outside and enjoy your wine. The whole place is stunning.

This was the most complete wine making discussion I have had after multiple trips in Virginia and 7 wineries in Napa. Great staff. A lovely and honest history lesson. the room was immaculate. it was our layover stop prior to going to the airport 20 min away. I wish I would have scheduled more time for this experience.

Location and staff were excellent and the wine shop’s service (which also acts as the reception) and free tastings were friendly, unpretentious and informative. However, we stayed in one of the apartments as we were travelling with our teenage sons and these were most certainly the ‘cheap seats’. I am sure if the villa/tower rooms are as per the website photos, and indeed the quality of the interior of the wine shop/cellar, then they would warrant the excellent reviews but our rooms, although characterful and spacious were somewhat tired and in need of renovation. They could be stunning. That said, the hotel provided us with a perfect base for a day trip to Venice on a long drive north through Italy. The local recommended restaurant La Rocca was also great.

It's not often you get to stay inside a walled 16 century castle, with the code for the gate. This is a bed and breakfast, but the breakfast is weak. We had our own kitchen and were 100 yards from all the local shops, so no worry The staff were very helpful (and nice) -they made great dinner reservations for us. If you want comfortable authenticity rather than high luxury this would be very hard to beat

Such a beautiful property and so well maintained. Rooms are spacious. Tour was 10/10. Julio was an excellent guide and host, and the wines are absolutely delicious. Breakfast was excellent. Will definitely recommend to friends and family!

The staff and the grounda are lovely but the "Baron' is taking your money and doesn't care one bit about making the rooms actually comfortable. If it weren't for the cleaning crew and staff there would really be no way of staying here at all. I get the whole castle aspect but the shower, windows and barking dog are a total no go. They have this dog locked up in a cage behind the rooms so you're hearing the poor animal bark all day and night starting at 5 am. The windows and shutters are literally as old as time so it's uncomfortable to open, close and maneuver them at all. The breakfast is poorly thought out and very chepa. I've run hotels and this place is a reflection of a cheap old ........

Det var fantastisk at bo i de gamle stuer som havde så meget charme. Haven var et paradis med 250 år gamle træer. Rundvisningen og vin-shoppen gir vi toppoint. Man kunne købe en flaske iskold prosecco i shoppen så lånte man bare glas og kunne sidde og nyde det i haven 👍. Morgenmaden var fin og blev serveret i lokalet ovenover vin-shoppen 👍. Særligt fortjener personalet meget stor ros for deres service, hjælpsomhed og ro. Personalet var meget smilende, imødekommende og nærværende. Vi besøger helt bestemt Castello Ron di Carde igen. The Castel is amazing. The breakfast was also excellent. There are many good places to eat that are walking distance. For us a big plus was also that it is only 25 minutes drive from the Venice airport.

What a beautiful and unique facility. Would recommend to anyone looking to visit Venice but not stay in the island. And, if you love wine culture it's a win-win. Their wine and castle history tour is a must - delicious wines and food as good as anything one comes to expect from Italy. Our room was huge! *Small critique - the bed was very firm and not very comfortable. Hopefully they will fix this. Also, the room is so big, it seems they have tried to fill the space with random, mismatched furniture. A little effort at furniture selection could pay off well. That being said, it was the largest room I've ever seen and charming in every good way. What everyone rightfully comments on is the helpfulness of the staff, and the absolutely fantastic breakfasts. The town is just a few hundred feet away with a few restaurants and a great bar. Venice is a short 8 min bus ride (buy tix at the tobacco shop) and a 20 minute train ride in. Taxis are 150-175 euros. Would absolutely stay again ans highly recommend.

The staff was very accommodating and kind with a very late check as we got stuck in a severe traffic jam. The property was magical, and the breakfast in the morning was lovely. We absolutely loved our stay and wished we would have had more than one night there.
