We had what would appear to be a family room in the annexe to the rear. Good beds, Small kitchenette area with table and chairs for four. Sizeable shower / w.c. room. We did not partake of the breakfast, which was at extra cost. On site / adjacent parking for about 9 cars, although it might be tight for chunkier cars. Overall perfectly acceptable accommodation. I did think the administration a little over the top including on-line registration before arriving.

Staff were bery helpful and friendly. There was free parking at the property and next door so we had no issues parking. However the shower had very weak water pressure and was really stiff so we coudn't adjust the head. Also the floor boards in the room uosators were very loud sp every time the people upstairs were moving around it would wake us up. Apart form that the stay was nice but we didnt sleep well because of the noisy floorboards, but the area itself was quite.

My room (a triple) was at the back with its own front door. Nice and clean, comfortable beds and nice to have a fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle and very generous tea,coffee and milk supplies.

2nd time I've stayed here on business. Good value overall. Warm & comfortable. Friendly, polite service. Breakfast choice could be better (only a choice of type of egg on toast and Continental), although it was included in the price. Although there is parking it is limited to only 3 spaces. Overall would recommend.

My Conifers Guest House stay was very good indeed. From a friendly early check in, to breakfast at only £10, but with plenty to eat and hot food options too. Room 11 was large and quiet. It was also well equipped with fridge, microwave plus plates, cutlery, kettle, tea/coffee and milk provided. There was even stuff to wash up with. The wi-fi was good and strong and I had no problems working on my laptop there one day. If I did have a minor criticism, it would be that when asked if I required the room cleaning on the day I was working, I said no thanks, but I did want some more milk cartons, they never arrived, nor was I told they weren't available. But in the big scheme of things, it's hardly worth worrying about.

Check-in and checkout were contactless. The room was pretty clean. It was quiet. There is parking available. Well stocked kitchenette with coffee, tea, and sugar though we did not partake. A good budget option.

The single room is just a bit too small. There is not a common area as the breakfast room gets locked after breakfast. There were some heavy decorations work in a room setting off the fire alarm. The place is spotless!!! The central heating only gets turned on at specific times. There was a small oil electric heater to use but the toilet is freezing at night time. All in all, good value for money

Great place to stay at Oxford. Extremely helpful and kind staff and management. very comfortable bed. bus to the city centre just a block away. Particularly recommend the Double Studio room with kitchenette - a real steal🤗

After using hotels.com to inform conifers we would be arriving fairly late they still rang and emailed wanting a time which I couldn’t give exactly. The room and bathroom were very clean and well presented overall.The person that greeted us was very friendly. It is close to the hospital which was great. The bed was fairly comfortable. The bathroom door handle creaked so loudly it was awful. The toilet lid closed when you sat down so was resting on your back. The bathroom window didn’t have a blind so I felt very exposed and uncomfortable when it was dark and the light was on. There were no hooks or anywhere to hang towels. And we couldn’t have breakfast with them as they don’t take card payments. It was fine at conifers for the price and for our needs. Just feel a few things need addressing.

We were warmly greeted by Ema (the manager), which was one of the few positives. Unfortunately, the stay was disappointing. Our room was at the back of the property with its own external door opening onto a car park courtyard shared with other rooms — this didn’t feel secure. A smoking bin was also mounted by the window. Inside, the room had a damp smell, cobwebs on light fittings, dirt along the door edges, and visible stains on the bedding, pillow cases, and decorative cushions. The extractor fan pulsed on and off and clearly needed maintenance. Although the room looked like the online photos, the cleanliness and quality did not match what was advertised. Due to the condition of the room, we chose not to stay and drove over 100 miles home late at night. We raised these issues with the manager, who agreed the room fell well below their usual standards. We were offered a 50% refund on a non-refundable stay, which highlights the severity of the situation. Though we accepted this at the time, we feel a full refund would have been more appropriate given that we were unable to stay at all. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this property.

Great little hotel in Headington. Clean and tidy, comfortable beds , soft linen , warm heating . Helpful staff and free off road parking too. Only negative was the hot tap on the bath was broken , we turned it on and then it would not turn off. We had to fiddle with it for a while to get it to stop. Needs replacing.

There was damp problems under the window and on the ceiling , the tv was literally falling off the wall and very slanted , the picture frames were terribly dusty and the entire place smelled of indian food . On a brighter note the bed was extremely comfortable !

Our stay was pleasant, friendly staff and shower was amazing, however there were stains on the bedding and could have done with a small fridge in the room but it served a purpose with Hubby in John Radcliffe.

A run down/dated property in general. The room smelt musty and like the carpets were in desperate need of a deep clean. Old beds and furnishings. Thin walls and banging doors from other rooms. Not worth what I paid. Wouldn't return.

Solo American traveler on a budget. This hotel was perfect for me. Clean, fairly spacious room and friendly staff. Only downside is the doors are thin, so I could hear every person on my floor entering/exiting their rooms. Would recommend if staying in the Oxford area!

At night, guest house staff will turn off the heating pipe, you are in cold room when wake up to toilet. And far from place u wan to go eating or Jalan Jalan ( around 1pm walk distance). If more than 50£/night, definitely not worth to it, take note, pals. Happy tour, happy travel holiday!

Unfriendly and rude duty manager. When we arrived we were told the studio room we had booked and paid for was not available. We were given a smaller inferior room - no apology or refund given despite the room being cheaper.

Really nice accommodation. Clean, comfortable, and handy location. Numerous buses go to centre of Oxford and 13 min walk to eateries n shops in Headington. Several nice pubs. Staff at Conifers lovely and go that extra mile to help. Sorted out a taxi for us when we needed one urgently and got them to prioritise us. They were great. They also do breakfast. It is basic, but tasty Will be stopping here lots over next 18 months until our son finishes his medical degree. Reasonably priced for Oxford. I recommend 👌

Very friendly and helpful. Very clean and tidy, breakfast was good. The chairs though were a little uncomfortable. The toilet seat in my room needed to be fixed, it was a little loose. I would stay there again happily.

I was there for a 2-day conference in a university building 10-15 walking distance. The room was good size, bed and pillows were good. Breakfast was good, but not a lot of options, remember to book in advance, I could only get it for 1 day of my stay because of that. The shower was acceptable, but low pressure.

My stay was fine; luckily my room was at the back and therefore quiet. The owners/staff were very friendly. My loo seat kept coming off, but the owner said they will fix it. The bus stop was very close, which was good. Beware of Oxford traffic and plan plenty of time for the journey into the centre.

Love the simplicity of the process from checking in to checking out. Friendly staff. Clean bathroom, bedding and space. 10-15 min walk to nearby food places and less than 5 minutes to an excellent Indian takeaway and convenience store.

Really nice accommodation. Clean, comfortable, and handy location. Numerous buses go to centre of Oxford and 13 min walk to eateries n shops in Headington. Several nice pubs. Staff at Conifers lovely and go that extra mile to help. Sorted out a taxi for us when we needed one urgently and got them to prioritise us. They were great. They also do breakfast. It is basic, but tasty Will be stopping here lots over next 18 months until our son finishes his medical degree. Reasonably priced for Oxford. I recommend 👌

Great location, I was given a ground floor room to the side of the main house which was perfect for a solo visitor as I wanted to keep myself to myself.

We had what would appear to be a family room in the annexe to the rear. Good beds, Small kitchenette area with table and chairs for four. Sizeable shower / w.c. room. We did not partake of the breakfast, which was at extra cost. On site / adjacent parking for about 9 cars, although it might be tight for chunkier cars. Overall perfectly acceptable accommodation. I did think the administration a little over the top including on-line registration before arriving.

After using hotels.com to inform conifers we would be arriving fairly late they still rang and emailed wanting a time which I couldn’t give exactly. The room and bathroom were very clean and well presented overall.The person that greeted us was very friendly. It is close to the hospital which was great. The bed was fairly comfortable. The bathroom door handle creaked so loudly it was awful. The toilet lid closed when you sat down so was resting on your back. The bathroom window didn’t have a blind so I felt very exposed and uncomfortable when it was dark and the light was on. There were no hooks or anywhere to hang towels. And we couldn’t have breakfast with them as they don’t take card payments. It was fine at conifers for the price and for our needs. Just feel a few things need addressing.

2nd time I've stayed here on business. Good value overall. Warm & comfortable. Friendly, polite service. Breakfast choice could be better (only a choice of type of egg on toast and Continental), although it was included in the price. Although there is parking it is limited to only 3 spaces. Overall would recommend.

My Conifers Guest House stay was very good indeed. From a friendly early check in, to breakfast at only £10, but with plenty to eat and hot food options too. Room 11 was large and quiet. It was also well equipped with fridge, microwave plus plates, cutlery, kettle, tea/coffee and milk provided. There was even stuff to wash up with. The wi-fi was good and strong and I had no problems working on my laptop there one day. If I did have a minor criticism, it would be that when asked if I required the room cleaning on the day I was working, I said no thanks, but I did want some more milk cartons, they never arrived, nor was I told they weren't available. But in the big scheme of things, it's hardly worth worrying about.

We stayed for one night and had everything we needed. The bedroom was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The breakfast in the morning was great, a large selection to choose from with the buffet and your choice of toast with eggs or beans if you want it. Overall a very pleasant stay.

Quick entry & check-in. Some confusion about inclusion of breakfast. No elevator so had to carry our bags up 2 flights of narrow stairs. Only took in our carry-on luggage. Comfortable bed & amenities we needed.

Just one issue--the booking included `free' continental breakfast. On arrival my husband was informed that there was no breakfast. This was disappointing and he had to head off elsewhere to find something to eat. I went without. Otherwise all was well, and we would stay at The Conifers again. Thank you.

We booked a double room, and were pleasantly surprised with a double bed, 2 singles, and a small kitchenette (mini fridge, kettle, toaster etc...) in a large and bright room! We were also provided with a fan - useful in the heat. The room was clean, although some signage in the bathroom was visibly mouldy. We had some issues with the TV signal, ended up being a dodgy connector to the wifi router which we had to unplug. The staff were helpful in allowing us to check-in early, and let us leave the car parked on the premises both pre- and post-checkout. Great value for money!

If travelling in the summer heat, consider that the rooms tend to warm up quite a bit. They asked for sensitive information via message/email, which I find a bit odd as the booking was prepaid early. Seems a bit shady.

A good number of dining options and a couple of supermarkets (Waitrose, Sainsbury) within ca 10-15 min walking distance. The room is small but clean and quite cozy, with a kettle, instant coffee, and tea bags. Very good option for budge travel to Oxford.
