Our room had not been cleaned thoroughly there were ring marks from a drink on the dusty bed side tables. We had booked a classic room and were allocated a room in the Milking Parlour row which was not very well appointed i.e. small wardrobe, mirror not sited very well, dark room needing lights on all the time. The basin in the bathroom was bird-bath size and not very practical. Eckington Manor do not show these rooms in their advertising videos. A big draw back was no evening meal or Bar available on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday evening. The staff were very helpful and pleasant to deal with and breakfast was delicious and well prepared.

Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The breakfast was possibly the best ever and the accommodation was spacious and comfortable. Highly recommended.

A lovely two night stay at this small hotel situated in a quaint village incorporating a cookery school . Our bed was very comfortable, lots of pillows and our room has a sofa. Staff were very friendly and helpful , room clean with most amenities you might expect. I have given this 4 stars and not 5 only due to the terrible wi-fi that was unusable even for basic emails and no phone data signal (EE) Breakfast was nice , hot and promptly served. Being picky we are both vegetarians and the one soya based sausage replacement for the sausage and bacon others got was not nice. Just a suggestion ..but perhaps more thought should go into the vegetarian alternative? A fritter or halloumi or perhaps greens ? Oh and still being picky the fruit salad and yoghurt might contain other fruit than melon , pineapple and apple. Most places would offer some berries a bit bland otherwise. To sum up our stay was lovely , It was quiet , clean , friendly and to be recommended. Not everyone would see WiFi as important as this hotel attracts many customers for its wonderful evening dining experience.
