A lovely Hotel with superb views up the valley of the surrounding area. The staff were very friendly. The food was good quality at a reasonable price. Disapointed that bar usually closed early and not at all on Monday evening.

Wonderful country Inn that welcomes dogs. Real fire and in a gorgeous setting. Evening meal was great and staff very helpful. At breakfast it was ‘do it yourself’ and the coffee machine was not working. We really enjoyed our stay.

Really enjoyed our one night stay. Very smiley and friendly staff. Stuart was very helpful as were all the other staff. Our room had two windows overlooking the back hill and side of the property. Even though not at the front it was still a nice view. We booked a double room but had a single bed tucked away in a corner of the room and a double bed. Our room was clean with good quality bedding and the bathroom smelt nice and clean. Plenty of tea coffee and milk plus bottled water available. Enjoyed breakfast in the morning at a table sat overlooking the beautiful valley. Plenty of choice of self service food. The views were just amazing. We also had pizza and tasty homemade chips in the evening and there was a nice atmosphere in the bar. Really enjoyed our stay.

Stayed here for 1 night with my 2 kids. Hotel room very clean and big enough for the 3 of us. Bar staff very pleasant. Stunning views. We loved seeing all the rabbits in the fields and we even saw 2 barn owls in the morning. Breakfast had a really good choice. No mobile phone signal at all. Easily connected to free hotel wifi but that disconnects when you sit outside. Altogether a lovely weekend.

My wife and I had a lovely 24 hour stay. We were made to feel very welcome by all the team for the whole stay. The food was very good and all three of cask ales were very well conditioned. The location is excellent for scenery, tranquility and walking. The view from the beer garden must be one of the finest in England!

A lovely break in Rosedale, friendly and welcoming staff, good pub with a roaring fire, pleasant and comfortable room. Would be great to see a lighter option on the dinner menu, but that’s personal preference.

Last minute booking for us due to current accommodation being cancelled due to wild fires. Location was beautiful, we were so glad we had booked, staff were lovely and welcoming and nothing was to much trouble, they even let us use the phone as we had no phone signal. We had an evening meal and breakfast and food was good and reasonably priced, bar area was relaxed. Our room was just what we needed for a comfortable nights sleep. Only issues were the toilet kept running when flushed but my husband was able to stop it and we reported to staff and they were going to look into it. The shower was ok but not very hot, little bit disappointing but not horrible. Check in and check out was easy.

Very friendly country inn in quiet location and very convenient to explore the North Yorkshire Moors area. Rooms were very clean and comfortable bed. Breakfast was very good. All staff were friendly.

Stayed here for business. A bit run down and could do with a refurbishment but I think it’s a pub that hikers and ramblers stay in due to its location. Smelt a bit musty, large portions of food but average at best basic pub food no healthy options. Room was basic, very tiny bathroom, dirty towel. Bed was comfortable but would I stay again for working away? Probably not.

On the positives the front line staff are really friendly and helpful. The room i had was a decent size and really comfortable bed and initally looked nice. Breakfast was plentyful and un rushed. I knew it was a 2 star but most of reviews said excellent or good so i took that as nice. The rooms are well stocked with extras such as bottles of water , tea/coffee and decent biscuits and bathroom toiletries which to me were a higher standard than 2 stars. But thats were it ends. The Housekeeping lets it down there was dust on the unit that you could write your name in, on the sash windows in corners were dead spiders with cobwebs. I complained to manager he told me he would get it sorted the dust went but not the cobwebs and dead resident spider. In the book another recent guest made comments about the cleanliness. I came back after cleaning was done to find my door unlocked with my belongings still inside fortunately. The carpet had dirty marks on it, the windows, tile in bathroom floor, cushions picture was broken i had to use a towel to let air into room. The curtains were thin white cotton so i was woken by sunruse at 4.45 am as there was nothing to really stop sun shining in somuch for a good night sleep in the comfy bed. I came home exaugsted rather than rested. This definitely needs the Alex Polici touch. Will not return feel like i wasted a long weekend. Breakfast eggs cold and hard and luke warm

We have stayed at White Horse Farm Inn before and have enjoyed our time there. It doesn't pretend to be anything other than a lovely village inn. It is a typical village pub of it's age and time. It has the most spectacular scenery as it's stands on a plateau up the hill on the road leading to Rosedale Chimneys. Absolutely beautiful! Our room was the very large family one so we had plenty of space. The staff were fantastic. Friendly Yorkshire folk, nothing was too much trouble. The food was well cooked and there was a lot of it. (Smaller portions can be asked for) which we had. Overall we were not disappointed and we would stay here again. A beautiful part of North Yorkshire. Thank you

Food was excellent and so we're staff, room was good although my back didn't like the bed. My husband thought it was fine. Bathroom rather tiny. If we were staying for than one night, it would have been too small. Overall 9.5/10

What an absolute gem! Booked this for 1 night with my husband for a chilled night after a night in Scarborough, OMG how relaxing it was. Definitely worth a visit. Food was very nice, views are amazing. Rooms are so cute and we had a surprise little outside balcony from our room. Perfect night for us, we will most definitely be recommending and returning. Thank you 😊

A well located hotel for the moors, very comfortable accommodation, only downside is that you can hear the people in the next room when they use the bathroom, overall a nice place.

We arrived at 2100 after an eight hour drive to find the room we had booked and paid for was already occupied. It was unclear whether this was the fault of an Expedia glitch (the proprietor assured us it was) or the staff at the venue having allocated the room to someone else because they assumed we were a no show (they had not realised we had already paid for the room), I cannot recommend this as a place to stay. We were exhausted.

The hotel ; situated in a rural setting, was superb. A bit out of the way but easy to locate. The staff were brilliant as was the manager initially!!! Breakfast on the first morning was very good all round. Breakfast on day two didn’t exist -no warning, no message and no staff whatsoever to liaise with !!! No refund and no sign of the manager !!! Informed by bar staff eventually that the chef had gone on holiday? Highly recommend the hotel in respect of the accommodation. There are very good reviews regarding the food from the local residents. Sorting the lack of communication between Manager and clients is a major to do ?????

We stayed one night. The inn is perched up right on the edge of the moors with some stunning views. It is a 2 min walk down the hill to the beautiful hamlet or up the very steep hill to the ruins of the old iron ore furnaces. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was fantastic we would book again.

Stayed here for 1 night with my 2 kids. Hotel room very clean and big enough for the 3 of us. Bar staff very pleasant. Stunning views. We loved seeing all the rabbits in the fields and we even saw 2 barn owls in the morning. Breakfast had a really good choice. No mobile phone signal at all. Easily connected to free hotel wifi but that disconnects when you sit outside. Altogether a lovely weekend.

An unfortunately poor experience. Arrived to be told they aren’t doing food today as chef is off. Luckily I had already eaten but it would have been easy to have advised this to guests before they arrived. No towels or milk in bedroom and sink plug doesn’t work. At check in no idea when breakfast is served, thinks it’s 8 until ? So turn up for breakfast just after 8. Place is deserted and restaurant locked. Only way out is by emergency exit. And by the way I had paid for breakfast as it was a B&B rate. On a positive note the bed was comfortable and enabled a decent night’s sleep. Overall a complete shambles. Would I go here again? Absolutely not.

The room was lovely and bright and temperature was good too - lots to choose from for breakfast - my only disappointment was the cost of meals at the restaurant and the first night we weren’t given a kids menu so paid for a full adult meal for an 8 yr old - I’m not tight by any means but £300 for 2 breakfasts and 2 evening meals with only main course and one drink was a bit too much - however the area and staff were amazing - will stay again

This is our second stay here because it’s such fantastic base. The views are stunning from the bedroom window and also the restaurant. A great breakfast awaits in the morning. We will be back again next year on our way up to the Great North Run. This hotel is a real hidden gem.
