Standard roadside motel, reasonably comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and the excellent ice machine on the very hot day we were there. Playground is probably ready to be torn down, seemed a bit unsafe.

This was my second stay at Carlsbad Inn. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and the sheets and towels were too. There was plenty of parking and the area has plenty lighting. They have ice machines for customers and trash cans throughout the property.

This property has great potential; but it’s not taking advantage. The location is convenient and it is not overly noisy. The ice machine was out the entire time I was there and the staff I spoke with was not helpful. Temps were over 100. No matter how clean, how pleasant the pool, you need ice in those temps. It was hard to keep flies out of the rooms and those got very annoying.

Rooms are dated but clean. You can hear traffic noise well so if you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs. The pool looked great but we didn’t get a chance to use it.

Nice hotel and very nice staff. A bit noisy due to being on a main road, but overall a good value. Pool was clean too.

The hotel was great, pool was well maintained and clean, we were on motorcycles and owners offered us towels (old ones of course) so we could shine them up after a long ride. I noticed an array of workers (oil field related) but every one was respectful and personable (I believe the hotel staff reflected that) and quiet hours were respected. I would not hesitate to bring wife and kids there, a very safe environment.

Property was good room smelled a little like smoke and the A/C unit was old needs to be replaced asap it made a lot of noise.. and it smells bad. Also the towels for the restrooms are really bad like a 0 out of a 10 they need to be changed all asap they have spots and blood spots nasty I would not stay there again…

Not sure clean. We saw alive and death roaches. The staff didn’t even speak when checking out. The walls are super thin so you can hear everything happening in another rooms. Making this not family friendly. Will not stay again and do not recommend. The o ly positive is that restaurants are super close.

Staying at this place really made me rethink the ranking system. When I pick this place out I saw that it had a pretty high ranking for the price. I've come to realize that you get exactly what you pay for. It was dirty, the sheets were dirty, there were three pillows for a queen bed which is too few in my opinion. The pillows were very small. They say that it's been renovated, but that's not true. They put some paint on it but the bathrooms look like they're at least 50 years old as does most of the other parts of the property.

Room was recently redone and clean. If you can put up with the traffic noise and the sounds of shoes on the floor if you're in a first-floor room, it's a good place to stay for a couple of nights or so.

The air conditioner wasn’t on when I arrived so of course it took a while for it to cool off. The motel room was clean but the mattress was probably the worst I’ve ever experienced; luckily I was able to sleep five hours and get back on the road. This was my first work trip to Carlsbad. If there is a next time, I’ll definitely stay somewhere else.

This property was good for the price. It was dated, so some things weren't perfect, like the air conditioner was a bit loud, the bathroom could use new caulking in places and the carpet is getting tired. But, it was pretty clean and did the trick for a few, unplanned nights in a hotel. (we were supposed to go camping.)

I don't understand why the outside of the motel was so ugly and unkempt. Why not at least try to make it nice by pulling up that curled and worn carpet? The traffic noise was horrific.

Visually, the vibe is like me on a Saturday morning when I plan to do yard work and before I've had coffee. I'm in pretty good shape but I'm older, I'm not dressed well, and some things aren't functioning the way the used to--but I'll get the job done. • It has everything I look for in a basic hotel, including being clean, a microwave, an oversized mini-fridge, an ironing board, and good wifi. The AC worked well and the water was hot. There were two minor annoyances: ○ Broken shower rod wall mount. This caused the shower curtain to be unable to properly close which caused an excessive amount of water to pool in floor. ○ Noise. My upstairs neighbor was obviously a young centaur practicing a LOT for a race tomorrow. That foal was doing more laps than a full season of NASCAR. Unless I was l planning to be at onsite at a hotel more and was willing to spend more, I would definetely stay here again.

We asked a few times to repair the toilet because it did not stop running. It was never fixed. The towels were small and thin. And only one small bar of soap and one shampoo were provided. We had to ask for more. I was disappointed.

I will never stay here again!! I booked and paid for a queen bed and he gave me a room with 2 double beds. I asked him to honor my reservation and he said too bad - things happen. The street noise is horrible so don't expect a quiet night sleep!

We arrived a little early but as soon as our room was ready, the receptionist allowed us access. This allowed us to do some things we didn't think we would have time to do. The temperature at the time of check in was 108° and it would have been impossible to wait in the car or even under a tree - not with two little dogs. Thank you for a nice stay.

It was a fair price for what you got. I would stay there again. The Chinese buffet nearby was fantastic. And they were open when no one else was.

The motel itself was great. The train that goes by at different times, which includes the middle of the night was my only issue and I can't fault the Carlsbad Inn for that. I would stay again if the need arises.

I've just started taking the time to write reviews after a terrible and unsafe experience while in Little Rock. I feel that other single moms will appreciate honest feedback when making a decision on where to stay with their family. We were a late arrival and early checkout so I didn't want to spend a lot on a room but it had to be clean. I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the room. The beds were comfortable and the property was clean. I was able to park directly in front of my room and felt safe. I would recommend this Inn for a short stay in Carlsbad.

The room size was good as we were traveling with a pet. The ice maker was always full which meant one less stop on the way out of town. Our room was close to the office, so it was close to the street, which was also the main highway through town. Rooms farther back wouldn't have bee so noisy.

The only complaint that I had, the picture shows a swimming pool, which wasn't ready to use. I didn't ask if it was down for maintenance or if they wait to have to ready later in the season. I was there on May 2nd. It has a playground. It was quiet. There are several restuarants within walking distance, as well as the Wal-Mart.

I don't understand why the outside of the motel was so ugly and unkempt. Why not at least try to make it nice by pulling up that curled and worn carpet? The traffic noise was horrific.

Even though it was very close to a busy highway, I didnt feel that it was loud. The front clerk was very friendly and willing to help. The pool was clean and welcoming after riding motorcycle in 106 degree heat. The room are what you pay for but they were clean, didn't smell bad and had been remodeled (painted, flooring, etc)The other guest varied from travellers to construction workers and it was quiet all night. It is nothing fancy but we would stay there again.

The staff was very polite and friendly however they wouldn't change our room when we complained of the overpowering chemical smell. The sheets smelled like fabric softener and were itchy and dusty. Our coughing kept us up in addition to the semi trucks that kept pulling up behind the building. The walls are thin and can hear everything even with earplugs! No extra blankets and only 3 pillows. SB 2 pillows per person. No breakfast, picture of room online does not depict what you get. Exterior was run down. I was truly embarrassed to book this place which was worse than a motel 6! Should change the name. This is NOT an Inn! It is a MOTEL! And not worth the cost! Buy some better sheets, extra pillows, warmer blankets, invest in sound proof window in the bathroom or remove altogether. Its nailed shut anyways! And use Simple Green instead of toxic Fabulouso! They use that at my dogs boarding house! Not meant for humans!

Homestead-sort of outward appearance, but pleasantly surprised by my room's presentation. Beautiful and welcoming! My bed was comfortable. I had a loveseat so I didn't have to spend time sitting hunched over in bed to read a book and relax. Pet friendly for sure. I have admiration for a business who discloses problems upfront, regardless of how embarrassing the situation might be. Their reassurance was refreshing. The location had easy access to restaurants. Something I wasn't expecting to see was the blackout window shade; you are more likely to find that at an upscale hotel. It was awesome to experience!

The only complaint that I had, the picture shows a swimming pool, which wasn't ready to use. I didn't ask if it was down for maintenance or if they wait to have to ready later in the season. People at the desk very friendly and accommodating. Rooms very clean and it appears to me they were recently updated. Great little playground and picnic table area with grills to use. Overall quite a nice place for the money paid. Would definitely stay again.

I was there for 6 day working. I preferred a bottom floor he couldn't accommodate me. I asked for a room by the stairs. It didn't matter. I couldn't park close to the stairs. 6 days working 12 hours in 100 to 109 degree heat, I dont want to climb stairs after a day like that. However the AC worked very well. And rooms clean.

It was good, clean and well mantain the unit. Outside was good also. We haven’t had the oportunityto interact with the staff. She was profesional but a bit serious. I would recomend this property to the ones with a limited budget.
