This was, without a doubt, one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had. Tucked away at the foot of Etna, the views are absolutely beautiful - both of the coast and the volcano - and the whole place felt so peaceful. The hotel itself is gorgeous, but it’s the little details that make it so special - it has a real Sicilian charm about it and is very picturesque. My room was spacious and spotlessly clean and beautifully kept, with a wonderful shower and a super comfy bed. What really made the stay special was Sara and her family. I have genuinely never felt so welcomed at a hotel. We were made to feel less like guests and more like friends who had come to stay - such a warm and polite host who went the extra mile to make sure we were comfortable and happy. Sara’s mother also makes the most wonderful homemade cakes and jams to complement breakfast, eating these, sitting outside on the sunny patio... amazing! We were genuinely sad to leave. In fact, this is somewhere I know I'll return to again and again. If you’re visiting Sicily and looking for somewhere peaceful, beautiful and genuinely special, I couldn’t recommend this hotel more highly!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful family-run hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality by Martina, which made us feel right at home. The food was outstanding—every meal was fresh, delicious, and clearly prepared with great care. It was one of the highlights of our stay, and we looked forward to every breakfast and dinner. The staff truly went above and beyond to make our visit special. Everyone was incredibly kind, attentive, and always happy to help with anything we needed. Sarah made us feel so welcomed and cared for The property itself is stunning, with breathtaking views that made it hard to leave. Its convenient location also made it easy to explore the surrounding area while still enjoying a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. If you’re looking for authentic Italian hospitality, amazing food, beautiful scenery, and a place where you’re treated like family, this hotel is a perfect choice. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Wish we could have stayed longer - thank you Sarah, Martina, & the rest of the amazing staff!

Antico Borgo Petralia is a truly magical place to relax and unwind. It’s set in lush gardens filled with butterflies and has stunning views of Mount Etna. The beauty of the surroundings is only rivalled by the incredible host family and the whole team. From the moment you arrive, they welcome you as if you are part of their family. Their kindness and genuine care are exceptional. Nothing is too much trouble. They seem to anticipate your every need and effortlessly solve any little issue, before you even realise they exist, making your stay completely stress-free. Our room was spotless, comfortable and had a stunning view towards Etna. Breakfast was delicious with fresh fruits from the garden and homemade treats. Optional home-cooked dinners were authentic and among the best meals we enjoyed in Sicily. Having a car is recommended, and with one the location is ideal—around 45 minutes from Catania Airport and perfectly placed for exploring Mount Etna, the surrounding countryside, Taormina and the east coast of Sicily. The atmosphere throughout the property is wonderfully peaceful. We genuinely found it hard to leave, would return in a heartbeat and cannot recommend it highly enough.

Ein außergewöhnlich schöner Aufenthalt in einer traumhaften Umgebung. Das Hotel überzeugt durch seine gepflegte Anlage, die angenehme Atmosphäre und den hervorragenden Service. Sara, ihre Eltern sowie das gesamte Team waren jederzeit freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen und bestens betreut. Die Kombination aus Gastfreundschaft, Komfort und der besonderen Lage macht diesen Ort zu etwas ganz Besonderem. Ich habe meinen Aufenthalt sehr genossen und kann das Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. Gerne komme ich wieder.
