Cool historic building in the heart of downtown within walking distance to main street. The staff was very friendly and personable. The bar downstairs is fun and they had live music both nights we were there. Highly recommend!

This is a great historic hotel/casino. It has onsite parking, a pizza place, a bar downstairs with Prime Rib on Saturday nights, and also another restaurant on the back. Our room was clean, it had a little bar with refrig and a great shower. Wonderful customer service!! We would definitely visit this hotel again.

For those of us who enjoy hotels with lots of history, this is your place. For now, it is a bit of a diamond in the rough- not a current good choice for those who like squeaky clean and fully equipped/well lit amenities. This historic 1880s – 90s property lacks some modern amenities. But I bet it’s going to improve under current dedicated and friendly management. Overall, we really enjoyed staying here! Fantastic location right in the heart of historic Deadwood. Parking is on site, but a bit cramped, so you’ll need to exercise your back- up skills.

For those of us who enjoy hotels with lots of history, this is your place. Fresh coffee and cold drinks in the lobby free of charge. Parking was easy and included at property. Perfect location in downtown Deadwood. We highly recommend and will stay there again.

Clean , comfortable, convenient and reasonably priced. The staff could not be more courteous and helpful. This is an old building probably from the 1880’s that has been renovated with modern conveniences while maintaining the old west bones. Definitely will stay there again.

Nice to have our own parking spot. People were nice. The room was way, way too dark….No storage, chairs were so old, they squeaked. I know they go for a nostalgic look, but we only had 2 drawers to store things and we were there for two weeks. The room was large, but the carpeting had many stains on it, very gross. The A/C was controlled, we couldn’t adjust it below 69 degrees. Kind of tacky? I wouldn’t stay there again…😫

Very friendly and pleasant hosts! The room was really cool - comfy bed and a jet tub all very clean. The view from the window was AMAZING. The only slight downside was that the elevator was broken and 3 flights of stairs after a long day of travel isn’t fun but that is minor compared to how wonderful everything else was. Would absolutely stay again!

Neat hotel at a great location in deadwood. Room was super small. Small like a cruise cabin small. Bathroom was plenty big though. The room was in good condition and clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Overall except for the small room I really enjoyed the stay.

I very much enjoyed my stay. The room was exactly what I hoped for, with a great view of downtown and with a historic feel. Comfortable, clean, outlets for phones (USBC etc). I would encourage anyone looking for the same to book here. I'd like to thank all the staff as well for their guidance and assistance. It was my favorite room of the 17 day ride.

Like the location, value/price of the rooms, nice staff, clean rooms, onsite parking. The parking is tight so don't have a large vehicle. We booked the double bed jetted suite, would NOT call it a suite, very small with no exterior windows. Would not recommend that room, pay the little extra money for a different room. Overall we like this hotel and will book again just not that room.

Rustic old building, nicely updated rooms, but not so much as to remove the old style charm. Comfortable bed and nicely updated bathroom in our suite. TV and wifi work fine. No fridge, microwave or coffee pot, but there really isn't room forthem. Coffee available in the lobby as well as ice, so it's all good. Very friendly staff. Very helpful. Great stay.

Fantastic hotel, fantastic staff, they could not have been any nicer and hospitable. I was very appreciative for reserved on site parking too. Room was very very comfy and quiet. And make sure to give the pizza a try, so good. I was able to catch the live music act Merlin as well and he delivered a solid show, what a character! Shout out to Elevator Johnnie for taking my luggage up 3 stairs at a time!

I was in Deadwood for a conference. The Iron Horse is a very cool old building that radiates the feel of Deadwood and located right in the heart of town. You become friends with the staff instantly. Highly recommended.

I loved the charm and old-time feel of the Iron Horse. The location is perfect walking distance to all of downtown Deadwood. The location is quiet and feels safe. Ultimate perk? Parking on-site, right next to the hotel. As a solo-traveler who did not spend a ton of time in my room, I did not mind that the room was small. My experience with the owner/staff was wonderful! Exactly what I would hope when visiting Deadwood - a home away from home.

I was in Deadwood for a conference. The Iron Horse is a very cool old building that radiates the feel of Deadwood and located right in the heart of town. You become friends with the staff instantly. Highly recommended.

Although an historic, so therefore dated, hotel it was very well kept and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. Great location just off Main Street and easy walking distance to everything!

We wanted to stay in an older hotel that met the vibe of downtown Deadwood, rather than a new modern hotel, and Iron Horse Inn did not disappoint! The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking is included and the location is awesome. There’s also an old time casino with an adorable little bar attached to the hotel!

Check in was easy. Troy is a gem and made us feel right at home. Room was small but quaint and very clean. The over all Nostalgia & history of the hotel was warm & inviting. Fresh coffee and cold drinks in the lobby free of charge. Parking was easy and included at property. Perfect location in downtown Deadwood. We highly recommend and will stay there again.

It was very good, very friendly staff! No coffee was ready in the morning but not a big deal as there is a coffee shop right down town deadwood. It was perfect for the 2 of us. Cheap rooms and just a block away from main street deadwood! It was perfect! Free parking right on site.

Fantastic hotel, fantastic staff, they could not have been any nicer and hospitable. I was very appreciative for reserved on site parking too. Room was very very comfy and quiet. And make sure to give the pizza a try, so good. I was able to catch the live music act Merlin as well and he delivered a solid show, what a character! Shout out to Elevator Johnnie for taking my luggage up 3 stairs at a time!

Cool historic building in the heart of downtown within walking distance to main street. The staff was very friendly and personable. The bar downstairs is fun and they had live music both nights we were there. Highly recommend!

Place was nice and staff very friendly. The casino is Very small, not many machines. No food was avalible and no coffee pot in the room. The made coffee before they left at night but by morning it was barely luke warm. They literally lock the place up early, casino and all. 1st night was 9pm, second night it was 7:30 ish.

This is a great historic hotel/casino. It has onsite parking, a pizza place, a bar downstairs with Prime Rib on Saturday nights, and also another restaurant on the back. Our room was clean, it had a little bar with refrig and a great shower. Wonderful customer service!! We would definitely visit this hotel again.

Everything about our stay here was great. Very friendly and helpful staff, right off Main Street, great onsite bar, pizza place and breakfast. Already booked for next year’s trip!

Our stay was great. We arrived late and the front desk had called me earlier that day to give me all the details of how to get in. Room was clean, was smaller but everything we needed. Was close to main and easy to walk. The diner attached was an easy option and delicious food. The rooms were quiet as well which was a plus!

Great hotel for our girls trip. We enjoyed all the games they had available to play, friendly staff, and pizza. We enjoyed the outdoor patio and continental breakfast.

We had a great stay. There is a lot of character. Located in the Historic Downtown and close to everything. Many museums and restaurants in the area. It was nice clean and comfortable. It was quiet being in a downtown area as well.

The staff were very helpful and attentive. The hotel is a historic building and as such it has some age to it. The bed while not awful was not the best and the shower left a bit to be desired. However it was a good stay and would stay again
