The staff are what makes this place good. The 4 staff I met during my stay were great - helpful and kind. They could not do enough for me. Mohammed arranged a private tour of Rabat; every tourist should give this a go. The Riad itself is mesmerising but in a bad state of disrepair, so please do not expect luxury. It does however have a lot of history so if you don’t mind disrespair but want to stay somewhere authentic this is the place to try. The single room was ok but I decided to upgrade for the last 2 nights to the suite as the other room was very small. For some people that would be ok, it was just a personal choice to go bigger. The Riad owners should however invest in repairs and fixing simple things like light bulbs and shower handles. It’s a shame they don’t do this. The breakfast was very good; tasty and fresh. The ladies who make it are so friendly. The food on offer was repetitive but as it is a free breakfast there is nothing to really complain about. Every day fresh natural omelette, breads, cheese triangle, spreads, orange juice and tea/coffee. There are no restaurants close by so you need to travel out of the area but there is a good take away coffee place called Bab Chaafa 2 minutes walk. The staff there are very friendly. There are a couple of local tuc-style shops that sell a variety of snacks and I used the one near Bab Chaafa because the old man was honest and his products varied and fresh unlike the other shop diagonally across it. Boendet var billigt så jag förstår att jag får ett rum utan ac. Men när jag väl bokade ett nytt rum hos samma hotell så fick jag betala en dyrare summa än det som fanns på nätet trots att jag hade ett rum som inte skulle användas. Dåliga beslut från min sida men övrigt bra personal och härlig frukost.

Le personnel, l’accueil et le service étaient au top. Le rapport qualité/prix est top. l’emplacement securisé, style minimaliste reste à l’appreciation de chacun. Pour moi c’est un bon plan.🤗

They use heavily scented detergent and shampoo so everything smelled too strongly of perfume. Had to keep the windows closed because kitty litter smell came I through the windows. It was too loud to get a good rest. Motorcycles and people talking outside the thin windows til 2 am. Dar al hajja or dar doura are much better quiet places to stay. The price was cheap and the staff was amazing but the location of this place was not ideal.
