1. Check-In & Check-Out Check-In Time: From 14:00 onwards. Early check-in is subject to availability and may incur an additional fee. Check-Out Time: By 11:00 AM. Late check-outs will incur additional charges. Late check-outs without a request for an extension by 12:00 PM will result in automatic check-out. Luggage and belongings will be removed and stored until collection on the same day. Identification: A valid ID, passport, or driver’s license is required at check-in. No Pay, No Stay Policy: Full payment is required upon reservation or check-in to secure your booking. ________________________________________ 2. Booking & Cancellation Policy Individual Cancellations: Cancellations made 48 hours before check-in are eligible for a refund. Cancellations made less than 48 hours before check-in are non-refundable. No-shows will be charged the full booking amount. Group Cancellations (A group booking consists of more than one bed or room): Cancellations made 14 days before check-in are eligible for a refund. Cancellations made less than 14 days before check-in are non-refundable. No-shows will be charged the full booking amount. Non-refunable bookings and chargebacks All bookings marked as non-refundable are final. By proceeding with the booking, you agree to these terms and waive any right to dispute the charge through your bank or card provider. Any attempts to reverse a valid, non-refunable transaction via chargeback will be considered a breach of these terms and will be contested. ________________________________________ 3. Extensions & Amendments: Extensions: Subject to availability. Please notify reception in advance. Payment for extensions is required by 10:30 AM on the day of the request. Luggage & Storage Policy To maintain a tidy and secure environment, all guests must adhere to the following luggage and storage guidelines: Standard Luggage Allowance: 1 Large Backpack or Suitcase (up to 20–23 kg). 1 Small Daypack or Carry-On Bag (for daily essentials). Storage Guidelines: Dorm Rooms: Luggage must be neatly stored, preferably under beds or in designated lockers. Clothes must be kept in lockers, not on the floor. No smelly socks or unwashed feet should be left exposed in dorm rooms. Please maintain proper hygiene out of respect for fellow guests. Lockers: Available for securing valuables. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lock or request one at reception (if available). Common Areas: Luggage should not be left unattended in communal spaces for security reasons. Luggage Storage: Complimentary short-term storage may be available at reception for early check-ins or late check-outs, subject to space availability. Note: The hostel is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings. Guests are advised to secure their valuables appropriately. ________________________________________ 4. House Rules Noise & Conduct: Quiet Hours: 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM. Respect for Neighbours: This is a noise-sensitive environment. Please avoid loud, disruptive, or annoying behaviour. Visitors: A maximum of 1 visitor per guest is allowed. Visitors must be collected from the gate by the guest they are visiting and report to reception for authorization with valid identification. Visitors are not permitted in dorm rooms/bedrooms, only in communal areas. Cleanliness & Hygiene: No dirty dishes, cups, or food containers are allowed in the rooms. Please return them to the kitchen after use. Leaving dirty dishes unattended may result in staff waking you to clean them, regardless of the time. Keep all clothing inside lockers and off the floor. After using the showers, please wipe the floor if it’s wet to ensure safety for the next user. Smoking & Alcohol Policy: No smoking indoors or on balconies. A R500 fine applies per incident. Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas. No alcohol may be brought onto the premises. Guests are welcome to enjoy drinks at our on-site bar. Substance Policy: Zero tolerance for illegal drugs and unruly behaviour. Violations will result in immediate eviction without a refund and possible notification of authorities. Appliance Use: Dishwasher: For staff use only. Switch Off: Please switch off lights, irons, and all appliances when not in use to save electricity and prevent fire hazards. Iron Use: Ensure irons have water before use and are turned off after use. Communal Areas: Kitchen: Clean up after use. Label your food. Do not leave personal items behind. Bathrooms: Keep clean and tidy. Do not remove hand towels for personal use. Report any issues to reception. Swimming Pool Rules: Open Until 10:00 PM. No Diving. Swim at Your Own Risk: No lifeguard on duty. Please be responsible for your own safety. No Glassware: Glass bottles, cups, or containers are strictly prohibited in the pool area. Children Supervision: Children under 12 must be supervised by an adult at all times. No Running or Rough Play: To prevent accidents, avoid running or engaging in rough behaviour around the pool. Keep Noise to a Minimum: Be considerate of other guests and neighbouring areas. Report Issues: Notify the front desk if you notice any unsafe conditions or maintenance issues. Towels & Linen: Do not remove hand towels from communal bathrooms. Damaged, lost, or missing towels will result in additional charges. Use only your assigned bed and linen. For extra blankets or pillows, please request them from the front desk. ________________________________________ Parking Policy Limited Parking Spaces Available: Parking is provided on a first-come, first-served basis. If all parking bays are occupied, guests will need to park on the street. The hostel is not liable for any damage or theft of vehicles parked on or off the premises. ________________________________________ 6. Guest Responsibilities Liability: Guests are responsible for any damage, loss, or breakages during their stay. Charges will apply. Personal Belongings: We are not liable for theft, loss, or damage to personal items. Use lockers where provided.
