Great place. Check in was wonderful and Joe was very kind. The room was clean and cozy and spacious. The Inn location is beautiful, located at the top of the hill with beautiful views. The building itself is so quaint. The pool is clean and I love that it is not out on the main road like many of the local motels and Inns. We were not able to enjoy the pub because it was closed the days we were here.

Beautiful area, easy drive to White Mountains and North Conway shops. The property was clean and staff were all friendly and helpful with local recommendations! Our room (petite queen) was small but comfortable. The window AC unit worked well to keep us cool at night. The pool and hot tub were both clean and in great condition. You can see many stars from the yard, take a moment to look up at night! Grab-and-go breakfast was bagged blueberry muffin, granola bar, and (nicely chilled!) orange juice. Some variety on flavors would have been nice, but it did the job. Would be happy to stay here again or recommend to a friend!

Wonderful old New England style inn, well maintained and a pub/eatery attached. There is no elevator to the second floor (for anyone with disability) and the rooms vary in size and amenities. Wonderful atmosphere and great staff, though.

Lovely property; polite staff; nice looking pool but didn't use... Parking is problematic. A little hard to find, and our room was on the second floor... not easy for two elderly visitors!

I loved this place. Right at the bottom of a ski hill with good vistas. It has a bit of a bohemian feel but everything is clean. The internet was down but I still got phone reception. The food at the adjacent Pub was very good as was the breakfast. I will definitely be back.

no onsite dining during our stay. This would probably be an excellent place to stay during ski season, but summer not so much. It was quiet, pool was spotless, room less so. Bed middling comfortable. VERY limited breakfast: packaged muffins, granola bars, oj in plastic bottles, no tea at all; and none offered in room. They did have excellent iced tea in the lobby in afternoon. I used my mobile hotspot so cannot comment on WIFI. TV service went out. If you want absolute basic accomodations, this is your spot, otherwise, there are several lovely places in Jackson.

It was peaceful and quiet which was a welcomed stay. Pool and hot tubs are lovely and refreshing. Only negative was there’s no one at the desk after 6 pm and their pub was not open I highly recommend Red Fox Bar & Grille for cocktails and dinner. Christmas Farm Inn wasn’t very good for dinner.

The Inn is cozy. Difficult to regulate temp in smaill room, and forced hot air makes it dry. Staff is very nice, but no front desk coverage after 7pm and a guest was locked out of their room). Breakfast just okay - good for the price. Not enough convenient parking. Liked the Shovel Handle Pub attached with good food and live music. Nice getaway location overall.

The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff is very helpful and friendly! The pool was green and there were a couple smelly dumpsters near the parking lot which made a poor first impression, but it ended up being a nice stay and we would stay here again at a good price

The area around Whitney’s is beautiful. The room we had smelled overwhelmingly of bleach.. which made me check the actual cleanliness of the room. The floors were unswept, the toilet was visibly soiled around the inner rim as well as under the seat. It takes approximately 10 minutes to get hot water. Depending on your room, you will get a windowed door - which allows the light of the very brilliant lamps by every door to flood in as you try to sleep - which is unpleasant considering one has gone up a mountain to try and escape ambient light pollution. We got to experience the installation of a door while we were there - the noise would have been fine if the front desk clerk wasn’t outside yelling at the crew to hurry up and stop making a mess. All and all, I would stay at the Whitney again if there were no other options.. 2.5/5

The bathroom had tiles that could be picked up off the floor because they were broken. It was a room that needed maintenance and had been neglected. Our room had dog hair all over the beds. Place looks great in pictures but not a favorite to stay in.

The Inn was very picturesque. It is a very peaceful setting. We stayed in a Deluxe Queen Room. The 2 issues we had with our stay there is that we thought the bed was too firm and the pills too flat. I always bring my own pillow just in case. The other issue was that the bathroom was ridiculously small. If you are a person of excessive weight then I don't recommend room #3. I can't speak of any of the other rooms just room 3. My recommendation to the Inn is maybe take out the tub and put in a stand alone shower and shift the sink over so it is not 1 foot in front of the toilet.

This was our first stay here and it was very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very quaint and very clean and quiet. We would certainly recommend to others and stay again.

Just wonderful. Greeted immediately, and friendly. This place is immaculate! The room was very nice and cozy. We ate at the attached restaurant and the food and service was beyond compare. We will stay again when we are up that way.

Beautiful location! The room was older and the walls are pretty thin. The floors and doors are noisy. Wifi was basically non existant. That being said the room itself was clean and staff were friendly.

Pretty area. Nice receptionist. Inexpensive for the area but In need of some updating appreciate old style, but the carpet, cracked, peeling linoleum, bedspreads, pillows, just needs updating. Cleanliness 3/5. 1 Curly black hair in both the sink and shower. Not enough Wi-Fi to get the TV to work. Just enough to login and then not strong enough to play anything. Tried several times during stay, never could get enough Wi-Fi strength in our room to watch anything. We picked this place because the pub in the inn looks cool and thought it would be a nice mountain town pub. The pub at this time of year, October, is only open like two days a week, so that was not for us. Overall, it’s not a bad experience, but not comfortable enough that I would return.

If skiing Black Mountain, it’s ideal. The main building is attached to the parking lot for Black Mountain and the shovel handle pub; we were hoping to park, ski, eat dinner, and go to the room w/o having to drive anywhere. Unfortunately, the pub closed for a private event but we went to Tuckerman’s restaurant which was about 15 mins away and had a great meal. The main building appears historic; probably 17-1800’s. The rooms are a little rustic but everything appeared clean. Walls are pretty thin. I don’t regret staying here, kind of just wish I knew the restaurant was going to be closed.

Beautiful property, close enough to the outlets but not so much that you’re impacted by the traffic. Such a cute, rustic feel in the rooms and lobby area. Only thing I would complain about is the lack of bedside plugs for phones, tablets, etc. only plugs were on the other side of the room unless we unplugged the bedside lights.

A very convenient and relatively comfortable place adjacent to the seeet ski mountain Black in Jackson. Check in was easy. Instructions for a grab and go breakfast and other sister reports given. Internet advertised but didn’t work/show as an option and therefore no option to stream anything on TV and could not get the work done I had left over from my day. The water in the shower was colder than Luke warm. When I arrived the suite was 82 degrees - way too hot and not eco friendly! The walls are paper think though most folks are asleep by 10. I’d stay again but would have fewer expectations.

Room was very small especially the bathroom, shower was hard to figure out so I called the emergency # so that went well, When checking out however, it was 8:15am there was no one at the front desk so we loaded up our car came back in and waited a little bit but had other things to do saw that you already charged my account and there was other room keys sitting on the checkout desk,so we left ours at 8:30am, then I receive a text that we were not to just leave our keys on the desk, I was at a wedding so I responded and told them that other keys were there so I left mine we were told that someone would be at the desk at 8am and they were not there! I called & asked if they wanted me to go back after the wedding ? I would have but got no response, I am now home so if you need to get a hold of me please call! Thank you Franciska Pomerleau

The king sized bed was divided down the middle under the very hard mattress. I had to sleep sitting up to get any sleep. This was too bad because the room was pretty. The room was small, but it was plenty for what we needed. The people at the front desk were nice
The king sized bed was divided down the middle under the very hard mattress. I had to sleep sitting up to get any sleep. This was too bad because the room was pretty. The room was small, but it was plenty for what we needed. The people at the front desk were nice

I don’t throw 5 stars around glibly. Our stay was incredible. We had two kids with us for a day in Storyland, and they wanted to stay at the inn instead. Their offerings were thoughtful and personable, like we were spending the night at our favorite family’s house. We’re making plans to stay there again before summer’s out.

It’s a bummer there was a water issue going on so even the restaurant next door that I wanted to go to was closed due to that. Also, the checkout was a bit confusing if you were leaving before staff was available. Cute place and all but just an instance of an OK experience.

What a beautiful inn! The front desk staff were so friendly - loved the little pre-made s'mores package and they even got the fire going for us. It is an old building so expect steep stairs and creaky floors but it is really well-maintained and beautiful. Would definitely stay again.

Only issue was, for some reason, the State room tax wasn't communicated as paid when room was reserved, so got charged for this at checkout, and this took a bit of time to resolve, so was late for an appt. Desk clerk did her best. Great location and clean facility!

Room was very small especially the bathroom, shower was hard to figure out so I called the emergency # so that went well, When checking out however, it was 8:15am there was no one at the front desk so we loaded up our car came back in and waited a little bit but had other things to do saw that you already charged my account and there was other room keys sitting on the checkout desk,so we left ours at 8:30am, then I receive a text that we were not to just leave our keys on the desk, I was at a wedding so I responded and told them that other keys were there so I left mine we were told that someone would be at the desk at 8am and they were not there! I called & asked if they wanted me to go back after the wedding ? I would have but got no response, I am now home so if you need to get a hold of me please call! Thank you Franciska Pomerleau

We have a great but too short stay with folks at Whitney. They couldn’t be more accommodating and helpful especially since we’re traveling with our 4 year old granddaughter. Great location near Storyland and North Conway. And An excellent Pub style restaurant on site. Plan to stay there again soon.

Beautiful area, easy drive to White Mountains and North Conway shops. The property was clean and staff were all friendly and helpful with local recommendations! Our room (petite queen) was small but comfortable. The window AC unit worked well to keep us cool at night. The pool and hot tub were both clean and in great condition. You can see many stars from the yard, take a moment to look up at night! Grab-and-go breakfast was bagged blueberry muffin, granola bar, and (nicely chilled!) orange juice. Some variety on flavors would have been nice, but it did the job. Would be happy to stay here again or recommend to a friend!

If skiing Black Mountain, it’s ideal. The main building is attached to the parking lot for Black Mountain and the shovel handle pub; we were hoping to park, ski, eat dinner, and go to the room w/o having to drive anywhere. Unfortunately, the pub closed for a private event but we went to Tuckerman’s restaurant which was about 15 mins away and had a great meal. The main building appears historic; probably 17-1800’s. The rooms are a little rustic but everything appeared clean. Walls are pretty thin. I don’t regret staying here, kind of just wish I knew the restaurant was going to be closed.

Beautiful property, close enough to the outlets but not so much that you’re impacted by the traffic. Such a cute, rustic feel in the rooms and lobby area. Only thing I would complain about is the lack of bedside plugs for phones, tablets, etc. only plugs were on the other side of the room unless we unplugged the bedside lights.

It was peaceful and quiet which was a welcomed stay. Pool and hot tubs are lovely and refreshing. Only negative was there’s no one at the desk after 6 pm and their pub was not open I highly recommend Red Fox Bar & Grille for cocktails and dinner. Christmas Farm Inn wasn’t very good for dinner.

We had a wonderful time, so close to Black Mountain, the restaurants nearby were amazing. The hotel staff was so kind, looking forward to visiting again soon.

It’s quaint and centrally located for activities in the White Mountains. We stayed in a suite which was very spacious, but the amenities were dated. The Shovel Handle Pub next door had good food and acoustic music.

We met friends there, and although we were rained out for skiing we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Shovel Handle Pub was great, and the live music was really great. We have already talked about going back.

no onsite dining during our stay. This would probably be an excellent place to stay during ski season, but summer not so much. It was quiet, pool was spotless, room less so. Bed middling comfortable. VERY limited breakfast: packaged muffins, granola bars, oj in plastic bottles, no tea at all; and none offered in room. They did have excellent iced tea in the lobby in afternoon. I used my mobile hotspot so cannot comment on WIFI. TV service went out. If you want absolute basic accomodations, this is your spot, otherwise, there are several lovely places in Jackson.

What an amazing and quaint hideaway! We were met by friendly staff, an inviting sitting area with fireplace, and delicious hot apple cider. Check in was easy, the room was cozy, and the restaurant/lounge with live music was in an attached building. We highly recommend it!

The Whitney Inn is a charming and cozy retreat in a stunning mountain setting. Our room was perfectly equipped for a restful night’s sleep and a refreshing start to each hiking day. The on-site Shovel Handle Pub served excellent food and cocktails, and the outdoor fire pits with Adirondack chairs and complimentary marshmallows added a warm, welcoming touch. A perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and rustic charm.

Everything about our stay was amazing! The staff were all very nice and welcoming. The restaurant on site had delicious food, and the waitstaff were all very friendly. The location was everything you love about New England; small town feeling, but still close to many activities.

The Inn is cozy. Difficult to regulate temp in smaill room, and forced hot air makes it dry. Staff is very nice, but no front desk coverage after 7pm and a guest was locked out of their room). Breakfast just okay - good for the price. Not enough convenient parking. Liked the Shovel Handle Pub attached with good food and live music. Nice getaway location overall.

First, I booked the room based on reviews and the Hotels.com listing. The listing described the pool as heated, but it wasn’t. That’s not the hotel’s fault though, their website just lists the pool as “seasonal.” Other reviews were glowing, including the views, calling it a hidden gem. Onto the review, the positives: staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. The onsite pub was great, with friendly staff and live music. The grounds were nice and they lit the fire pits, which we sat around for a bit. Overall, the location was nice - just 5 minutes up the mountain from Jackson, which was a good location to explore the area from. The downsides: The room was clean and comfortable, but the kitchenette area could use a sink and the coffee maker didn’t work. No biggie, went down to the grab n go that opens at 7:30 to get coffee, but it tasted awful. Just decided to get coffee out after that. The grab n go breakfast incredibly limited. Some kind of bran muffin, apples, granola bars. Tried to use hot tubs, but they didn’t work. We sat off in a swing relaxing while the owner called the previous owner to get it fixed. Eventually he walked off, no “hey, it’s all fixed” - we sat for a bit longer before we realized it was fixed - enjoyed it for a bit, but the pool was way too cold(not heated). Finally, the kicker was the view - or lack thereof. Ultimately, it was a nice place to plant to go do other things, but not the oasis in the mountains we were looking for.
