Hotel advertises free parking as if it has a car park. It does not, you have to park in the street. Facilities listed include restaurant and bar. We were there on a Sunday, went out in the afternoon, when we came back the whole place was closed. We had to unlock 2 doors to get in. I.e. no bar or restaurant avaliable. Room, very basic, but good size, on suite dirty and in need of renovation. However, staff were very friendly and accomodating. Bar and restaurant were excellent on the Monday night. Hotel was well located for buses and beach access.

This property has an Excellent rating on Expedia and while it was totally serviceable, “excellent” is probably pushing it a little. The staff were wonderful and welcoming but TBH the place was a little rough around the edges and would benefit from a refit/redecoration. There were some minor irritations too…the night I stayed, the kitchen closed at 7:30pm. It was a midweek stay in October but even so, SEVEN 30? Then in the morning beer barrels were being delivered/moved at 7:30am so good luck sleeping over that noise. I had to be up early but even so…. So yeah, I’d rate it at about 6.75 out of 10. As I say, totally serviceable but not outstandingly good.

Landlord very pleasant, nice room, breakfast ok (but it’s an extra). Fair value for money. Seaford is a nice place and convenient for good walks. We were lucky to get a parking spot outside the pub but no onsite parking as expected

Really nice rooms, with very comfortable beds. Great bar with live music on the Friday night. Bar was very busy but had a friendly atmosphere.

Great for a few nights getaway, it is an old building showing its age, however room was clean and tidy, all staff were friendly and helpful. We had a freshly cooked full english @ a very reasonable £7.50. It was all cooked fresh and hot. Coffee and tea on tap help yourself. I would stay again, the minus is parking, there are 4/5 spaces at front which are unrestricted, you will be lucky to get one, there is a car park a very easy few minutes walk but is a pay and display. Its about 500mtr walk to sea front where there is ample free parking. All in all a very nice night and worth the cost for our short visit.

On arrival, we had some issues with the cleanliness of the room, but these were dealt with promptly and very apologetically by the excellent staff. The food quality was not consistent. We ordered two evening meals, one was delicious, the other dry and overcooked, but the plum dessert was marvellous. Similarly, with the two breakfasts. one was delicious, the other very poorly presented and bland. The hotel had a quiz night to raise funds for a local charity,, and live band on Friday evening which was very good.
On arrival, we had some issues with the cleanliness of the room, but these were dealt with promptly and very apologetically by the excellent staff. The food quality was not consistent. We ordered two evening meals, one was delicious, the other dry and overcooked, but the plum dessert was marvellous. Similarly, with the two breakfasts. one was delicious, the other very poorly presented and bland. The hotel had a quiz night to raise funds for a local charity,, and live band on Friday evening which was very good.

The hotel was just about acceptable. The main problem issue was that the hotel was advertised with parking. There was no parking at the hotel and I had to park on streets some distance from the hotel. The hotel description was therefore grossly incorrect. The hotel staff were totally unhelpful and unconcerned about this. It put a grey cloud over the whole visit

Sadly this pub hotel was very disappointing and dreadful value. There was significant black mould in the shower and the mattress was the worst we’ve ever slept on - it should have been replaced years ago. Breakfast (extra cost) was also disappointing and over priced compared to better options elsewhere in Seaford.

Had a very lovely greeting from the lady behind the bar, was only too happy to show us to our room and fill us in on all the things we needed to know. Super friendly and outgoing and the room itself had a wonderful sea view and was very comfy and clean. An excellent stay over for anyone looking for a little seaside retreat for a night 👍 thanks we will be back!

The room was spacious and it made me feel like a princess. Though the bed wasn’t so comfortable and there was too much light in the room at night. However, the staff was super friendly and the location was less than five minutes from the beach by foot. Overall, I like it a lot.

Lovely welcoming staff, spacious room with sea view, fab evening meal and veggie breakfast, nothing too much trouble. Super, friendly seaside town with interesting features like museum on the seafront and theatre. Bracing walk on the front before breakfast. Daughter & I loved our stay!

Impressed with room, nice size all facilities that we needed. However, we couldn't sleep even with ear plugs in due to noise upstairs. We could hear talking, chairs(?) dragging on the floor & stomping up & down till late. Not ideal when we had a long drive the next day. We will not be returning, sadly.

Perfectly okay but disappointing for the price. Tea/coffee-making supplies very basic; a fridge was mentioned by Expedia so I'd hoped for fresh milk but there was no fridge and only longlife milk. The oldest and clunkiest TV/cable box combo I've seen for a while, though it did work once you got the hang of the remote controls. There was a sea view, but quite limited between the houses. Lovely old building with period features, a convenient location for the station, town centre and seafront, comfy bed and very little traffic noise. Seaford seems to be a thriving town even off season. I didn't have any meals so can't comment on those.

Had a nightmare getting to The Wellington & the staff were brilliant. Arrived at quarter to 1 in the morning as I had a blown tyre on motorway & was still accommodated. So happy I chose this place

The staff were excellent - very friendly and helpful. Minor issues were quickly and effectively dealt with. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it there twice. If we return to the South Coast again, we will undoubtedly try to stay there again.

Lovely one night stay from London. Had a twin bed room with my adult daughter. Very comfortable beds. European style bathroom. Was very centrally located. No car needed. Trip from London to hike 7 sisters. Lovely village.
Lovely one night stay from London. Had a twin bed room with my adult daughter. Very comfortable beds. European style bathroom. Was very centrally located. No car needed. Trip from London to hike 7 sisters. Lovely village.

great location and excellent service and friednly staff. very clean too. The only downside is it's VERY bright in the night as it's facing the main street. can also be noisy when big cars passing the street outside.

It was large, clean and bright, easy to reach from the rail station and bus service 10 min and the city centre. A bit noise because is on the street. Excellent position to start the walk on the cliffs and see the paradisiac Seven Sisters

The Wellington Hotel is a traditional pub B&B a few minutes walk from Seaford beach. My room was bright, clean and comfortable with a nice view. Staff and the landlord were welcoming and very friendly. I highly recommend The Wellington, it's a great place to stay for anyone who wants to explore the south coast. Seaford is a lovely town with good road and train access to Brighton and nearyby towns.

Had dinner the night we checked in. Burger was cold, chips tasted like old dirty oil and the onion rings looked like a mess of onion and batter all stuck together in a bowl. Staff didn’t seem to care, did mention it when paying, but they just went silent. Then bed was very uncomfortable. We just sunk into it, if I rolled over felt like I was going to fall out the bed. Very squeaky and the mattress was clearly old, with a seperate yellow layer of foam between top of the mattress and the bed sheet which didn’t fit properly. Won’t be returning to this hotel again.

This property has an Excellent rating on Expedia and while it was totally serviceable, “excellent” is probably pushing it a little. The staff were wonderful and welcoming but TBH the place was a little rough around the edges and would benefit from a refit/redecoration. There were some minor irritations too…the night I stayed, the kitchen closed at 7:30pm. It was a midweek stay in October but even so, SEVEN 30? Then in the morning beer barrels were being delivered/moved at 7:30am so good luck sleeping over that noise. I had to be up early but even so…. So yeah, I’d rate it at about 6.75 out of 10. As I say, totally serviceable but not outstandingly good.

The room is clean that is above the pub but it is quiet . It can be noise in the morning because the building is on the corner of street. The bed is very soft that your body is sinking into it- a marshmallow like bed . But for people like super soft bed , you should be fine . We had a dinner at the pub and it is good .

Lucky to park outside. Furnishings tired. Broken shower door handle, loose toilet seat and broken bed. Otherwise, warm welcome, extensive menu, spotlessly clean room, Loved having firestick for all tv channels. Tasty breakfast. Friendly staff.

Lovely welcoming staff, spacious room with sea view, fab evening meal and veggie breakfast, nothing too much trouble. Super, friendly seaside town with interesting features like museum on the seafront and theatre. Bracing walk on the front before breakfast. Daughter & I loved our stay!

On arrival, we had some issues with the cleanliness of the room, but these were dealt with promptly and very apologetically by the excellent staff. The food quality was not consistent. We ordered two evening meals, one was delicious, the other dry and overcooked, but the plum dessert was marvellous. Similarly, with the two breakfasts. one was delicious, the other very poorly presented and bland. The hotel had a quiz night to raise funds for a local charity,, and live band on Friday evening which was very good.

We enjoyed our stay at the Wellington Hotel - friendly staff, clean and spacious room and it had everything we needed. It’s a short walk to the beach and restaurants. If you don’t want to walk you can grab your meals (including breakfast) at the pub instead. We can recommend staying here!

Seaford is well-known to us, a sort of home-coming, and we are well pleased with the role the Wellington played in our visit this Summer. It's a well-run pleasant old-fashioned pub with saloon bar and pub, and also has a dining room for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We found the menu varied and meals well presented (we skipped the signature Beef Wellington, which did not impress us at a previous visit), the full English breakfast is full, but there are variations for small-eaters. The saloon bar is pleasantly well populated, and we got the feeling of a lot of regulars, and many visitors on 'special nights'. The Team is great, makes you, and your dog, welcome. The bed rooms upstairs are spacious, comfortable and functionable, we were well looked after. Parking, however, is a challenge: you will find somewhere to park but it may be in a street or along the seafront (which has a 12 hour only restriction), so there may be some legwork involved to get to the Wellington. The sea? Straight out of the front door, a 4 minutes' walk,or maybe 6 if the wind is in your face and 'it's a bit of a breeze' as the locals might say - it can be a very windy place, Seaford.
