Quality Inn Clovis

Specifically booked because of the pool, hot breakfast, and photos, for May 31st. Should have read the reviews. Woman at the front desk was perfectly lovely, but the room smelled of STRONGLY of mildew. The beds were clean and comfortable, although the pillows were just an 18x18 square. They advertise cable tv with premium channels, but there were almost no available channels. Going to my car for luggage, I saw a sign on a door off the lobby that said "pool closed," with a cover over the pool. I asked the desk clerk because the listing refers to a sparking seasonal pool, open from May 7- September 30. The desk clerk told me the pool HAS NOT BEEN OPEN SINCE COVID STARTED. In the reviews, I later saw other people, going back 2-3 years, saying the pool was "temporarily" closed. There are at least three photos of the pool on the current website. But since Covid isn't very "temporary." Got to breakfast at 8:30. Coffee was luke warm, eggs were overly salted, no breads of any kind, orange juice was gone, we got one glass of apple juice which was then also gone. Milk for cereal was gone. Very little yogurt left. And they don't tell you (you have to look at a map) that it's right across the street from the railroad tracks going into the major rail yard in Clovis. You will have to run the AC/heater all night to try (with little success) to block out the sound of trains rumbling by, whistles blowing, all night long. Would NOT recommend - even for the price.

There were worms coming out of the drain in the bathtub and from under the toilet. The ceiling paint was peeling in numerous places. I told the guy at the front desk but he didn't seem to be concerned and they didn't do anything to correct the problem. There are no phones in the room. The swimming pool was covered and the front desk lady said it would be another week or two before they opened it. It is summer and 102 degrees and the hotels around them had there swimming pools open but they haven't even tried to open theirs. Never stay here again !!! Breakfast was tiny apples, waffle maker, apple juice, orange juice and coffee. That was it. Every other hotel in the area had numerous choices so I moved to one of them for a couple of dollars more !!!

The hallway smelled aweful, the first room we were assigned the table was broken and fell when stuff was placed on it. That room also had a bad smell. We were moved to another room, it smelled better but still felt old and dirty. The back door to the motel never shut, therefore never locked…anyone could’ve just helped there selves in at anytime of the day. There was no coffee fixed and no breakfast ready, and asked if coffee would be made she said yes but never returned with it. Very old, not updated, not well maintained and has an aweful smell.

For a non-smoking room, you could definitely smell the smoke throughout the entire property, including the room. The showers water pressure was extremely strong and made for an unpleasant shower. It was a pet friendly hotel however, there was not an area for your pets to safely use as a restroom.

This was the worst hotel my husband and I stayed at. My husband and I are truck drivers and we decided to get a hotel for the night. We like to have our bubble baths and get in the pool periodically, Enjoy a bigger bed. When we got to the hotel, we checked in and they had no issue with our service dog. We got to our room, they had tea and cups on the table and no coffee. At this point my husband and I weren’t upset, it’s just coffee. So my husband went to the front desk and grabbed some coffee, he also asked them where the pool was at. They said it’s outside but it’s closed for the winter….. um what? It is May 31st!!!! Very disappointing. So we decided we will take a bubble bath, no drain stopper. Asked the front desk, no plugs or anything so was unable to take a bath. So we went to bed. The next morning my husband got up at 6:15 for breakfast because breakfast is served at 6. He went out there and everything was gone except and apple, and 1 light yogurt. My husband went and asked the front desk if they were restocking the breakfast? (In the booklet in the room says there is donuts, bagels, muffins, pancakes, waffles, eggs, sausage, and so much more) The front desk said yea I’ll be out there in a min. 15 minutes later the lady comes out with a plate of eggs and that is it and she disappeared. Wasn’t able to find her. My husband and I were just so upset we ended up leaving. Never coming back.

Their free breakfast included a waffle maker, scrambled eggs, petrified sausage links and cereal. No Muffins or Danish. We only stayed one night and chose a hotel that didn't cost allot so I guess we got our money's worth.

Pool was out of service, vending machine took my money without delivering goods, coffee maker didn't work, and the TV was broken. The place smells awful, and trains run all hours of the day directly across the street. The back door is insecure, so lock your doors well. Overall a very unpleasant experience.

Mold on shower ceiling. Bathroom so small one had to open door all way then step in then close. “No Smoking “ room REEKED of smoke. Animal urine smell coming from carpet, chose this motel for pool—pool out of order. Requested handicap ahead of time—none available. Our family would NEVER stay here again. Seemed as if the owner/host/manager could care less about their guests.

Room was small and clean. Convenient with good parking. Basic breakfast. Pleasant experience as the price was right for the room.

Dirty wash rags. One of them appeared brown compared to others. Stained bed linens. Door was really hard to open. Overall the place appears to need lots of repairs, not cover ups, repairs. Over all feel was dirty and gross. Not to mention the homeless person sleeping on the steps to the second entrance. Wife did not feel safe at all.

Room were clean bathroom was dirty . Breakfast was too basic with only few stuffs on top bad coffee.

The whole building smelled like stale musty urine as soon as we entered. Sheets and towels look unclean. There was mold on the bath tub curtain. This whole place was overall disgusting.

Clean comfortable room at a good price.

This room was disgusting. The floor was covered in syrup which I stepped in. The water faucet was about to come off. It smelled. One of the locks was broke. Tiny bottle of shampoo used with no shampoo in the shower. The worst stay in my lifetime.

Booked a room based on reviews. Assigned room couldn't lock the deadbolt. Reassigned, door stuck from inside, opened with great effort. Floorboards needed painting, so many chips. HVAC unit's display DID NOT work! Couldn't select heat, A/C or desired temp,so used fan, room temp 45 degrees F at dawn! Pathetic breakfast (sugary cereal, 3 cartons of yogurt at 6:05am!) Went to nearby McDonald's. Worst hotel of 2-week trip.

Very comfortable bed. Everything very clean. Up to date decor

Awful smell in the lobby. Very outdated. Lap didn’t turn on in room. You can hear everything. Sink handle was very loose. Overall decent stay. AC was great, beds were somewhat comfortable, they also have direct TV and breakfast was alright. Give em a 4 out of 10.

The clerk checking us in was extremely pleasant, polite, and helpful. The room was clean. Loved the mattress. Bath room was tiny. A larger person or an unsteady person would not have been able to navigate closing the door without falling over the tub and toilet. The clerk that had breakfast duty was not helpful at all. We asked him three times to turn the tv down or off because it was so loud. He finally did. Who knew the switch for the tv was linked to the light switch!? Breakfast was waffles, scrambled eggs,link sausage, fry cereal & milk, juices, tea & coffee, and yogurt.

Went in to bathroom & discovered toilets from my grandchild’s kindergarten class. I am disabled, my knees don’t bend properly. I also don’t have balance. I about fell down. We checked out & went Hampton Inn; they have adult size 22” toilets.

Staff was friendly and quick. Room was dirty, sink broken, and falling apart almost everywhere you looked.

I had accidentally rented a smoking room. The woman checking me in rembered that I normally get non-smoking, asked me about it and fixed it for me.

Amazing sytaff

Rude staff, by room wasn’t ready when I arrived, they had only cleaned the room part way. The front desk worker when I arrived was not accommodating and was not friendly.

For the price it was fantastic. Simple check in and friendly desk people. I will be back. Thank you

The furniture was worn. People were talking outside our room most of the night. It felt unclean and unsafe.

Easy off freeway access, pet friendly. Okay breakfast selection. Room seemed not of the best caliber and bathroom not super clean.

Affordable and comfortable. The hot breakfast wasn’t anything I would eat but there was cereal and coffee.

Breakfast was poor with 2-3 items- waffle, appple, cereals, almost empty coffee pot. No bread or baggel :(
