Loved the warm welcome by staff. Reception smelt and looked lovely. Breakfast was lovely. The room didnt have mugs for us to have a hot drink. I wasnt notified about the gym being out of service which was one of the reasons for choosing this hotel. But overall our stay was pleasant.

This place was convenient but average. A 30 year old TV in the room. Comfortable but for what it was I’d say overpriced. A $200 room in Jamaica is equivalent to I’d say a $100 motor Inn in Australia. I’m a solo traveller so it was fine for me. Not a place I’d like to stay in with a partner. A pretty old and tired room with the bare essentials. Staff were fairly helpful. Gym was closed for “renovations” which was annoying. Restaurant was basic. It did the job and close to places I wanted to see and do. Kingston is a pretty horrible dirty area. Definitely not a good holiday spot. I was here mostly for the cricket so did the job.

They gave me a room that was so smelly not even the ac or my perfume could drown that smell out, room 211 yack, I walked into a room being clean 215 they said that room was not being rented, I was moved to 111 was a better room but later saw a big roach crawling around the room, the gym don’t work and the pool looks dirty, they really need to clean the place up to be honest.

Property is very outdated, old. It is clean, but the age shows. If you plan to work from the hotel room, take under consideration the internet is useless. I tried attending a meeting online and after 10 mins I had to cancel.

To be clear I used a $500 GC from my company's rewards program. I only paid $72 for the entire stay. For that amt it was lovely, but here's my overall review. It was clean, I had lots of bug repellent oils for my grandparents reed diffuser & left the open bottles in my room w/ a zevo plugin. It caught 1 extremely tiny bug in 4 days. Shower has pressure issues, 1st night no warm water (it never got hot) after water worked the pressure had a low high pattern & no shower door so the tile & floor towel got soaked. I use my own products but the small bottle of shampoo & lotion provided were already half used. The staff can take those home, not leave them in the room. 1st day housekeeper turned off my ac but left it on after I spoke to them. Breakfast is a few simple Jamaican & American options. Beware no subs, they didn't let me add anything even though I was willing to pay. I wanted bacon with my omelet & was advised no. They only serve 1 4oz juice/person. Yes they have small coffee cups but refilled it. Overall food tasted good. No bar menu for cocktails, they offered a mango daiquiri that was good but I forgot I should've asked for rum punch. Pool was clean, 8 feet deep, closed at 10pm. The last night I got new neighbors who very loudly spoke, played music, & had sex multiple times. I was already staying up all night to pack & head to the airport but if not I might had been annoyed. Airport shuttle is a taxi service w/fee I was not informed about when booked I paid $35USD

The staff was friendly can curteous but the elevator was out of service for the 2 weeks i was there and i was on the third floor so that was not pleasant to go up and down those stairs carry my bags to and from my room.

This is a dated yet quaint property in the heart of New Kingston. When I first entered my room, I was assaulted by a musty odor, which disappeared soon enough after I turned on the aircon (shouldn't the AC have been on before I arrived?). Shortly after my arrival, I was forced to kill a cockroach; throughout my entire stay, I also had to share my bed with ants (didn't experience an ant infestation or anything, but still...) All of that aside, I loved the rustic feel of the hotel grounds and the breakfast was quite good (chose the Jamaican option every time)...with few exceptions, the staff was also nice enough (I guess it's more difficult for some to balance professionalism and genuine conviviality, but alas ...)

Ac in Room 109 is broken. It doesn’t work. The fan and the floor were dirty. It was really noisy outside. Seems as if other guests were fighting. I could not sleep. Breakfast was small but ok. Thank God it was just one night.

The rooms are totally outdated at this property. The AC's in every room are placed at the corner most part which does not even cool the room. In 3 days, i changed 3 rooms. The breakfast provided at the hotel is useless and nobody likes to have it. Felt like wasted all my money on chosing this property.

I arrived around 11 AM and requested an early check-in but was denied by Shanae, who was very impolite and informed me the earliest check-in would be at 1 PM. I waited as the only guest in the lobby until after 1 PM. Then an American guest walked in and was immediately checked in and given a room while I was still waiting. When I asked why she was allowed to check in before me, I was met with attitude. Throughout my entire four-night stay, I consistently encountered staff with poor attitudes. The only time I was acknowledged was on the second day at breakfast—after I tipped both waitresses, who then treated me more pleasantly the following morning. It seems tipping is the only way to receive courteous service here. I want to thank Shoshana and one of the housekeepers, who were the only staff members that offered genuinely good service and made me feel welcome. The room was spacious and the AC worked well, but there was hardly any hot water. The area is not suitable for walking at night. This hotel has potential as a budget-friendly option if they improve their customer service, but based on my experience, I doubt I will return.

The hotel is in a good location. However the staff, especially at the restaurant are quite rude. There is no breakfast buffet and the food options are really really small. Also the gym is in a really bad condition and cannot be used.

Wonderful staff, great food and perfect location. Hugely convenient with arrival time, availability of staff, air conditioning and car parking. Safe did not work, reported this on the 1st day, reminded staff on the 3rd and again on the 5th day. No one came to fix it, and no alternative room was offered to us. Despite asking.

Terrible front desk service. Phones didnt work. Rented our room to another guest while we were in there.

Great central location. Front deck clerk could be more inviting and accommodating and less uninterested and bored appearing. Room staff were excellent. One joke from the server that I did not like was "the serving of human liver." She obviously thought it was hilarious as I heard her repeat it to another guest. In light of the reality of human trafficking and human meat consumption in some socities, the joke to me was quite sordid & inappropriate.

Our 4 day stay from Apr 16-20 ,2024 was ok. The location was good and the place was generally quiet. Enjoyed the pool. Liked that the breakfast included local food. It would have been nice to have some fresh fruit options. The staff at all levels was excellent and very helpful. Our major concern was The AC vents. They need to be cleaned and accommodations have to be made for persons with Respiratory challenges.

I arrived around 11 AM and requested an early check-in but was denied by Shanae, who was very impolite and informed me the earliest check-in would be at 1 PM. I waited as the only guest in the lobby until after 1 PM. Then an American guest walked in and was immediately checked in and given a room while I was still waiting. When I asked why she was allowed to check in before me, I was met with attitude. Throughout my entire four-night stay, I consistently encountered staff with poor attitudes. The only time I was acknowledged was on the second day at breakfast—after I tipped both waitresses, who then treated me more pleasantly the following morning. It seems tipping is the only way to receive courteous service here. I want to thank Shoshana and one of the housekeepers, who were the only staff members that offered genuinely good service and made me feel welcome. The room was spacious and the AC worked well, but there was hardly any hot water. The area is not suitable for walking at night. This hotel has potential as a budget-friendly option if they improve their customer service, but based on my experience, I doubt I will return.

We stayed here for a couple of nights so we could see Kingston. Great location, easy walk to some places and easy to get Ubers to key locations. Check in was easy, my room was large, clean and comfortable with a huge bed. Breakfast was very tasty, I had the Jamaican options both days. Reception also arranged a taxi for us.

The property was really nice and super convenient. You could walk to alot of places and there was alot of security. The restaurant was the only negative the free american breakfast was the same thing everyday and very limited. Hotel was super clean and the staff was very friendly.

The location was excellent and the breakfast was delicious. However, the portions were too small.The entire facility needs renovation inside and outside. The flooring, walls, steps, rails, and furnishings get an F from me. The staff was polite, courteous, and helpful.

Clean room, the food was excellent I had the Jerky Pasta it was delicious. Staff was very helpful even checked us in a little early. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Gated so you feel secure.

My name is Michelle W and I am a forever returned guest once there is room availability there. I stayed 4 nights only as I came to lay my mom to rest.. a very sad occasion. I love the community environment at Altamont Court Hotel. On Tuesday night I went to the restaurant and Ms. Claudette was the server. She saw me all bent over rubbing my stomach. She came over, inquired what was wrong. I told her that I haven't been eating properly since the passing of my mom. She immediately went into help mode, got me tea to drink and then a nice bowl of pumpkin cream soup. Before, I left the restaurant, my stomach pain stopped, I was walking uprightly and feeling much better. Thanks to the management for having Ms. Claudette as a light and an asset to your company. The front desk staff is very hospitable. Phillip, I was so happy to see him again on Friday, which he said that he was filling in for another worker. The CEO's, are very hospitable and will speak and engage with their guests. You will see them in passing and will never know who they are because they blends in with the guests and I appreciate that level of humility. For my cons, this trip was the only time that there were multiple conversations about the breakfast. It wasn't tasty and was late. Servers kept apologizing because the food finished and more had to be cooked. I believe because it was cooked rushed, it wasn't enjoyable as before and so many of the food was wasted..I dislike to see food wasted. Thank you
