Trevligt lugnt ställe utanför stan. Tyvärr saknas en del aktiviteter förutom tennis och pickleball (vilket var anledningen till vårt val av detta hotell) Restaurangen är lite överprisad och tyvärr inte speciellt bra. Stället är väldigt rent och välskött och rummen är bra. Man bör ha egen bil när man bor här

My husband and I stayed at Tilajari Hotel Resort & Conference Center for one night to celebrate his birthday, and overall, we had a pleasant experience. The property is beautiful, with a kind of vintage charm surrounded by lush greenery that made our stay feel serene and relaxing. One of the highlights was the jacuzzi, which was incredibly soothing after a long day. Unfortunately, we didn’t get a chance to use the pool or tennis courts due to heavy rain, but we were prepared for that since it’s just the season. Despite the weather, the grounds remained stunning. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and accommodating. A special thanks to Gustavo, who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The restaurant staff were also kind, although the food wasn’t the highlight of our stay. That said, I do have to caution future guests—this hotel does not offer room service. I had planned a special surprise for my husband with a bottle of wine and cake in our room after enjoying the jacuzzi, but the staff couldn’t accommodate my request. If you’re considering Tilajari for a special occasion and need room service, you might want to rethink your plans.

Tilajari war für uns die perfekte Wahl, um abseits der Massen in La Fortuna zu sein: tolles Zimmer (Junior Suite im Raum 102), einen schönes und riesiges Hotelgelände mit vielen Möglichkeiten zum Sport, ein großer Pool und ein neuer Jacuzzi mit Blick auf den Fluss, freie Aktivitäten wie eine Nachtwanderung (Kevin hat das toll gemacht!), gutes Frühstück und durchweg extrem freundliche und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter (Michael und Marianne beispielsweise, sie haben den Geburtstag in unserer Familie zu etwas ganz Besonderem gemacht!). Wow, it’s a great gem. Asked for the upgrade and got it. Room was immaculate. Pool was clean and they are renovating the hot tub/spa area. That will be amazing and like new in a couple of weeks. Food was outstanding also.

Property is clean and has good view on the river, both from the rooms and from dining area. Pool is big and hot tub jacuzzi is amazing. Food variety is good and they provided specialty Christmas dinner invite as courtesy too. Staff are nice and friendly. All in all is highly recommended!

Aunque las instalaciones son un poco antiguas la limpieza es impecable. Un poco oscuro, es un hotel muy grande y en algunas partes por el rio la iluminacion es deficiente. Un hotel especial para un buen descanso.

Room was clean, great view, the staff were courteous and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious and many options loved the bird stand fruits view. I watched so many different species of small birds. Outside of my room was able to see the monkeys in the morning. Beautiful landscaping.

Pool was green, looked dirty and disgusting, even though the pool guy said to us it was safe to use. The food at the restaurant is not even close to the quality it should have for the price they charge for it. It’s expensive and not that good. For the rest, rooms and sorrounding areas were clean and well maintained.

This was my third trip to Costa Rica, and because I had such great experiences the first two times I wondered if this one was going to live up to the fantasy I have created in my mind. I must say, I was delighted with every aspect of this trip. The stay at Tilajari was more than I could have dreamed of. When we arrived, we were greeted by Maureen. She was extremely helpful and gave us information on dinner, the eco tour held in the morning, and the location of the room. During our visit, the reception staff, including Maureen, Gustavo, and Albin, were immensely helpful in providing information about activities at and away from the property. The property was natural and beautifully maintained. Our room consisted of two beds and overlooked the river. The overall impression of the room is it was beautifully furnished and well maintained. The wood ceilings were beautiful. There was a nicely sized balcony overlooking the river. It was a beautiful place to enjoy a bottle of wine and relax after a long day. The stone floor and the windows allowing the transfer of fresh air in the bathroom gave a spa aesthetic. Lucia did a wonderful job with housekeeping. We had several meals at the restaurant and indulged in a variety of drinks from the bar. Restaurant Manager Bryan was very welcoming, and the service received was impeccable. Everyone took the time to explain available items to us and gave us numerous recommendations inspiring us to explore new drinks and food items.

El hotel es demasiado bonito y grande. Muy bien cuidado. Es placentero solo el hecho de estar ahí y caminar por el hotel. El restaurante es muy rico y el personal muy atento. La ducha es muy rica. La piscina es grande y el jacuzzi también y con agua caliente. La limpieza en general es muy buena. Tiene bonitas vistas al rio. Sin embargo, el internet y la televisión por cable no son los mejores, la imagen de la TV se congela.

We enjoyed our stay at the Tilajari hotel! The property is nice, we saw beautiful birds, iguanas and howler monkeys all onsite! We also did horseback riding - Bryan was our guide with the horses and he was really great, very friendly and kind. We drove into La Fortuna / Arenal each of the three days to do activities and it was a bit of a drive - about 40-50 minutes to the different activities (waterfall, hanging bridges, volcano park), so I would stay closer next time or recommend others to do so if they don’t want a far drive. We did have a few hiccups at the property. The wifi in our room only worked if you stood directly next to the window. We called staff about it three times, as we had to work while we were there but they were unable to help/fix it. Also - at breakfast I found a piece of metal in my eggs (they said likely from a cleaning brush), the staff did apologize for this.

It’s a great place to stay. The only issue my wife and I had were the pillows were overstuffed and uncomfortable to sleep on. Otherwise the property, location, food etc. were all excellent. We enjoyed our stay and when visiting the Arenal/La Fortuna area of Costa Rica we would stay there again.

The stone floor and the windows allowing the transfer of fresh air in the bathroom gave a spa aesthetic. Lucia did a wonderful job with housekeeping. We had several meals at the restaurant and indulged in a variety of drinks from the bar. Restaurant Manager Bryan was very welcoming, and the service received was impeccable. Everyone took the time to explain available items to us and gave us numerous recommendations inspiring us to explore new drinks and food items.

We enjoyed our stay at the Tilajari hotel! The property is nice, we saw beautiful birds, iguanas and howler monkeys all onsite! We also did horseback riding - Bryan was our guide with the horses and he was really great, very friendly and kind. We drove into La Fortuna / Arenal each of the three days to do activities and it was a bit of a drive - about 40-50 minutes to the different activities (waterfall, hanging bridges, volcano park), so I would stay closer next time or recommend others to do so if they don’t want a far drive. We did have a few hiccups at the property. The wifi in our room only worked if you stood directly next to the window. We called staff about it three times, as we had to work while we were there but they were unable to help/fix it. Also - at breakfast I found a piece of metal in my eggs (they said likely from a cleaning brush), the staff did apologize for this.

This was a hotel worthy of the 4 star they claim. From Bryans excellence in the reception to Albertos service in the restaurant we have only good things to share. Food tasted great, and the prices was even better then a 3 star hotel we had just come from. There are alot of birds in the hotel that really gives the jungle vibe. They had also great tours. The Arenal volcano tour With Pedro was super! This place is great if you wish to be close to La fortuna and Arenal but outside the hectic tourism thats in the town.

This was my third trip to Costa Rica, and because I had such great experiences the first two times I wondered if this one was going to live up to the fantasy I have created in my mind. She was extremely helpful and gave us information on dinner, the eco tour held in the morning, and the location of the room. Trevligt lugnt ställe utanför stan. Tyvärr saknas en del aktiviteter förutom tennis och pickleball (vilket var anledningen till vårt val av detta hotell) Restaurangen är lite överprisad och tyvärr inte speciellt bra. Stället är väldigt rent och välskött och rummen är bra. Man bör ha egen bil när man bor här

Room was clean, great view, the staff were courteous and accommodating. The breakfast was delicious and many options loved the bird stand fruits view. I watched so many different species of small birds. Outside of my room was able to see the monkeys in the morning. Beautiful landscaping.

Pool was green, looked dirty and disgusting, even though the pool guy said to us it was safe to use. The food at the restaurant is not even close to the quality it should have for the price they charge for it. It’s expensive and not that good. For the rest, rooms and sorrounding areas were clean and well maintained.

El hotel está muy bonito, es tranquilo. Existe oportunidad de mejora en el restaurante, pedí una ensalada César y me dieron 5 hojas enteras de Lechuga Romana ( no era una ensalada) sin queso parmesano y sin la foccacia que mencionaba el menú, tuve q preguntar y me dieron un pedazo de queso parmesano y que la foccacia no había y que por eso me dieron dos rodajas de pan

We had a really pleasant stay We loved the area, and really felt like being in a lodge in Africa. Very charming The bar area was cozy, and pool and spa. We saw a crocodile, iguanas and hummingbirds, it was perfect We did not have so much time to enjoy the area because of our short stay (3 days), and much to experience with the volcano and everything, but it was still worth the stay. I would recommend a car, and a thing that is missing in many hotels in Costa Rica is a refrigerator and safety box, otherwise it was great.

What an incredible week! We saw more animals on the grounds of our property than on our various trips in search of those animals during the week. The staff was exceptionally helpful. Our balcony view was both relaxing and entertaining. The breakfast was great and the pool area exceptional. We wished the restaurant was a little more affordable, and the road throughout the property could use some maintenance, but the friendliness of the staff and the awesome grounds made those shortcomings easy to forget.
