It should be disclosed at the time of booking or as soon as possible that there will be an event, such as a swimsuit runway show, taking place at the hotel which means for example, loud and late music, no use of main swimming pool, production crew and vendors completely taking over the property. That being said, the rooms were clean and comfortable and service was good.

My room was small but nice enough. The shower was great. I do like the bar and the pool is nice. The elevators are verly slow as there is only two and the service staff use the same as the guests. They are small as well. I was granted a late checkout but the cleaning staff apparently was not notified and continued to attempt to enter the room. Based on other hotels in the area I have stayed at, I would choose a different hotel for my next visit. Based on how much the room cost, I dont feel it was worth it. There are better overall options in the area.

We were never notified that there is activity in the hotel that will directly impact our stay! The pool is closed. The restaurant is turned into green room and the show began at dusk to 2AM!!! Laser show, Loud music. Our access to hotel amenities were restricted! On top of all there was severe rain so we had to go to other hotel lobbies just to have a place to sit.

For the price point, there are nicer, cleaner options on South Beach. The hotel has an aroma of mildew and air-freshener. Upon arrival, the building is dimly lit, and it was difficult to find the staff. There are only two elevators servicing 12 floors. The building itself is in need of a renovation, however it seems all they’ve done is paint and put up wallpaper to hide the deteriorating building. The bathroom in the room has eroded mirrors and cracked tiles. The carpeting and furniture in the room all need to be replaced. The SLS is definitely not the worst hotel I’ve ever been to, but I’ve stayed at nicer Marriott’s and Hiltons for this price point. Come here for the parties, don’t come here to stay.

Decent hotel, in a nice location (a minute's walk from the beach) and they throw great parties. However, I had a terrible experience with charging my Tesla. They do not have a charging station and are literally the only big hotel without it. I had to drive into town to find a charging station and had to pay extra.

I stayed at SLS for my birthday in July. The stay was great until, I checked out. The hotel requires valet parking, in small spacing. Valet sqeezes cars to fit in small spacing. Just to collect more money.Valet put a big scratch on my new vehicle. They took pictures and apologized. Valet manager David, stated they would fix the scratches. This has been since July and my car is still not fixed. They offered $200 to fix the scratches on a Mercedes benz paint job. I went to numerous body shops for quotes to have it fixed. Valet at SLS, said it is to expensive to fix. I have contacted David of Valet and Victoria the manager and my car is still not fixed. I advise you not to allow Valet to park your car, if you like your car. We are in October and my car is still scratched. I have been calling every other day with no resolution. Very disappointed with this hotel To this day my car still has not been fixed. Valet is horrible and they are ignoring my calls.The hoel manager claims she cant help me. What is upsetting is the hotel required valet parking but takes no accountability. I gave this hotel 4 stars, but Valet brought it to 2 stars.

Air conditioning in room was terrible. It took multiple questions to front staff to understand the rules of the hotel, when beach/pool opened, etc. limited amount of beach chairs available. Wish there was information for guests left in rooms. Pool parties at Hyde were very loud if that’s not your thing and you want to mind your business at the other pool. Heard the party all night from 9th floor hotel room. Rooms were small but I guess ok for the price. Food at hotel was excellent but very expensive.

I was attracted to the photos of the rooms online. When I got to my room I was shocked at how small it was. There are no closets so your clothing is on display and I like a neat room. The room itself was like being in a sauna. The thermostat only goes to 67 and there’s no way this room was ever at 67. I called the desk several times and had maintenance come and change the filter. He said it was filthy. He even suggested cleaning around the filter since he said it was full of dust. Well all of that and it did not help. Our room was hot the entire stay. Strangely the AC would kick on only when we were in the room leaving us wondering if there was a sensor in the room that activates the AC when someone is in the room. We barely slept because of the heat. The blinds were broken..the shower took ten minutes to heat up and it had no door so there was always water on the floor. The pool was nice except poor upkeep with rust stains on the floor of it. The best part of the hotel was the beach and the lobby was cool. Otherwise I do not recommend booking here. We wanted to try something different but we will stick with our favorites.. the Fontainbleau and the Loewes tho a bit more expensive. We were totally underwhelmed with SLS and extremely disappointed in the quality. Sorry!

While we were greeted with an upgrade, the hotel is dirty , starting from the elevator, corridor carpets , pool area , restrooms, even the room was dirty I would strongly suggest Expedia would consider visiting the property, as this hotel standards are really below average. For the first time l left angry , disappointed and let down.

The location is great. But the property is unkept. Cracked and broken tiles around the pool columns, stains on the walls. The bicycles were completely rusted over. We couldn’t even adjust the seats due to the amount of rust on the metal parts. Pool service was horrible. Only 1 person attending all guests. The double bed room was tiny! The most redeemable quality of our stay was the rain shower in our room. I would not recommend this property. Completely Over priced and it’s not even well kept.

Hotel was extremely clean and all of the staff who were working inside, pool side and beach side were amazing. Location was perfect to many great restaurants and only a few blocks away from Ocean drive. I only read reviews I never leave them so this is my first ever and that should tell you everything you need to know. My wife and I felt very safe the entire time and that’s always my biggest concern when we travel. We’ve been to South Beach numerous times but never stayed at the SLS….well that’s going to change!

Unfortunately I was extremely disappointed in my stay. The property is very out dated and in desperate need of a DEEP cleaning. I just returned from the SLS in Mexico which was a superior stay just to be let down at the south beach location. I received no perks or upgrades with my Expedia status nor any acknowledgment of my birthday which I included on my reservation!

This hotel is in a great location. The lobby staff was nice and accommodating. However, this hotel has the smallest rooms I’ve ever seen. The first room was 175 sq fr and looks nothing like the pictures on the Expedia listing. They were kind enough to put me in a slightly larger room, but it’s SMALL. The hallways are creepy. The bathrooms have no light in them. It’s a soft creepy pink lightbulb. I went to enjoy the sun at the pool to be greeted by jack hammering going on all day everyday for the hotel Being built next door and there is construction on the other side AND construction on the beach putting up huge buildings for the food and wine fest. I never leave my kids and I finally do and think I’m going to relax and I listened to construction every day. The bed was comfy. They need to redo this hotel badly.

The staff were really friendly, great service. The location is really great. The design of the hotel is unique. Pool party access was really nice. Great quality hygiene products i.e. shampoo and cream. I found that the room design was really poor in terms of functionality. i.e no closet, hooks, space to organize clothing.

Rooms are just too small. The double beds are more like oversized twins.. I don’t see how 2 adults could sleep on one double bed that they have. Also there are absolutely no hooks or anywhere hang towels or cloths. But atleast beds were comfortable

The “luxurious “ villas we stayed in are the rooms above the disco club and the day and night noise from the music is unbearable. It is so loud that it feels like they are in the room. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND STAYING AT SLS. Absolutely terrible experience

The drain in the shower was not working properly so the water was overflowing in bathroom. Also, the comcast in the room was not working. Rooms are pretty small but pretty design.

Service and staff are wonderful. Meals and drinks are excellent. Location is great for beach and shopping. But …. Rooms are very small and need updating (carpet torn and TV broken). The common areas also could be cleaned/updated. Canvas chairs & pillows were dirty/aged and lacked proper fluff. Would love to come back but will not stay in same accommodation (queen). Beach service is very pricey better at SLS for good & drink.

I am someone who loves nice things, like ocean views, good vibes, but still want to make sure there is value. I want to be impressed. And sadly I wasn't. This property is just way over priced for the limited things you get. The room is the smallest room I've had in any hotel across cities like Miami, LA, NYC and others by about half the size. I travel a lot so my comparison is based on a lot of hotels across the USA. It's what 250 sq ft while most upgraded rooms at other hotels are 400 sq ft. You barely have room to place your luggage. The gym is humid, small and has very limited equipment & just really outdated. Everytime I ordered food or drinks, even if it was a simple on menu cocktail, it would take 15-25 minutes. And the final straw for me was the attitude I got when I asked to check out at 12 vs 11. I travel 2x a month and never has a hotel gotten upset regardless if they were sold out. The reality is that this hotel makes you feel like you're in the wrong to expect better amenities, faster service and a one hour extension on check out. And so honestly, do not book here unless your #1 reason is to do the pool parties & you need a place to crash. Not impressed. The attitude I got to not extend the hour check out was enough for me to decide I won't be coming back to this property. I travel to Miami once a month and that's a wrap for me and SLS.

And the final straw for me was the attitude I got when I asked to check out at 12 vs 11. I travel 2x a month and never has a hotel gotten upset regardless if they were sold out. The reality is that this hotel makes you feel like you're in the wrong to expect better amenities, faster service and a one hour extension on check out. And so honestly, do not book here unless your #1 reason is to do the pool parties & you need a place to crash. Not impressed. The attitude I got to not extend the hour check out was enough for me to decide I won't be coming back to this property. I travel to Miami once a month and that's a wrap for me and SLS.

Staff was excellent. Enjoyed the pool and beach- fairly low key visit during the week which was nice. Room was clean but fairly outdated for an SLS. Also extremely tiny room. Would be tough for 2 people comfortably.

We stayed at the hotel over New Year’s Eve. The staff was truly the highlight of our experience. From Ricardo and Victoria the Manager’s behind the front desk on down, they made us feel like we were at home. We had a slight issue with the room and they made sure that everything was made right. The pool is the best in South Beach and the views from our room were impeccable. Can’t wait for our trip back in 2025.

We enjoyed the hotel’s location and beach access. The rooms are small and queen beds were more like full beds. During the weekdays, the pools close at 6 pm. We had great service from Chris who worked at the pool deck. Front desk staff were unfriendly, unhelpful, and rude.

I stayed at SLS for my birthday in July. The stay was great until, I checked out. The hotel requires valet parking, in small spacing. Valet sqeezes cars to fit in small spacing. Just to collect more money.Valet put a big scratch on my new vehicle. They took pictures and apologized. Valet manager David, stated they would fix the scratches. This has been since July and my car is still not fixed. They offered $200 to fix the scratches on a Mercedes benz paint job. I went to numerous body shops for quotes to have it fixed. Valet at SLS, said it is to expensive to fix. I have contacted David of Valet and Victoria the manager and my car is still not fixed. I advise you not to allow Valet to park your car, if you like your car. We are in October and my car is still scratched. I have been calling every other day with no resolution. Very disappointed with this hotel To this day my car still has not been fixed. Valet is horrible and they are ignoring my calls.The hoel manager claims she cant help me. The check in was far from being smooth: they gave me a room that when I arrived was under repair. The person never left my room and they took 1 hour to give me a new one. The food at the pool area and the drinks at the bar is terrible. Price for the money in Miami there are much better places. Good location if interested in Lincoln Road.

We had a great stay. Amazing service - very professional and attentive, from receiving a package to restocking things in our room when requested and taking care of us at the beautiful pool area. New years is a very busy time of year and we really feel they went above and beyond. And the rain shower in the room was just the best.

This was my second stay at this location, and the convenience couldn't be better—just steps from the beach, shops, and restaurants. I was disappointed to learn that my favorite restaurant inside was no longer there, but thankfully, Katsuya remains, and it’s as delicious as ever. The hotel’s décor is chic and quirky, which I absolutely love. The rooms are extremely comfortable, though I did notice my couch had been replaced with a chair and table. It wasn’t quite the same, but since I was traveling solo, I didn’t really miss it. Overall, I had a great stay and would definitely return.

Hotel was extremely clean and all of the staff who were working inside, pool side and beach side were amazing. Location was perfect to many great restaurants and only a few blocks away from Ocean drive. I only read reviews I never leave them so this is my first ever and that should tell you everything you need to know. My wife and I felt very safe the entire time and that’s always my biggest concern when we travel. We’ve been to South Beach numerous times but never stayed at the SLS….well that’s going to change!

Hip, cool, very South Beach vibe. Comfy beds and great showers with dual rain and spray showerheads. Two nice pools and easy walk to beach. While we expected the beach to connect to hotel, it is separated by the walking path and greenery. So you can’t see the beach from the swimming pool. The staff is super friendly, helpful and accommodating.

Great property, super comfortable bed, bathrooms are tiny because of the awesome shower, which honestly you’ll hate until you turn that shower on and stand under it and then it’s ’what bathroom’. Food on property isn’t great and service at breakfast in insanely slow and disorganised. We ate dinner on our last night in the bar and regretted it. Best to eat out and around. The overall location is excellent whether you have a car or not (we did) and valet, although expensive (it’s SoBe everywhere you park costs a fortune) the valet crew are amazing!

Sebastian was so kind and helpful! Cannot thank him enough. Overall satisfied w the property. The room was on the small side and could use some updating incl the mattress. I was worried when I could feel the springs but we ended up sleeping great both nights. The room def needed some ventilation and the carpet was a bit dirty and or worn. Hotel is nice and has a old Hollywood type of vibe w a nice outdoor pool and easy access to the beach. The prices for food at this hotel are higher than average. $8 for just a can of soda or $15 for yogurt is a bit much for this level of hotel. We also stayed a couple doors down at a comparable hotel that had lower prices on food etc and a bigger more updated room. Fine for kids but def more of an adult atmosphere.

Service and staff are wonderful. Meals and drinks are excellent. Location is great for beach and shopping. But …. Rooms are very small and need updating (carpet torn and TV broken). The common areas also could be cleaned/updated. Canvas chairs & pillows were dirty/aged and lacked proper fluff. Would love to come back but will not stay in same accommodation (queen). Beach service is very pricey better at SLS for good & drink.

The rooms are a little rundown at this point but reasonable. Food quality at the pool is very basic. Restaurants are better. The staff and the servers makes the place a great experience. Very polite, helpful and accommodating. We enjoy the time, convenience and we’d go back

The SLS has seen better days. I would frequent this hotel three to four times a year in recent times. I will never go back. The rooms are still so small. Not enough chairs at pool and overall customer service has declined. Show up at pool in the morning and there is still trash around. They run out of ice water at pool and you have to tell three employees before it is replenished. Stand at front desk waiting while the staff is having a personal conversation. The Customer service has slipped to unacceptable levels. Better choices in South Beach.

Elevators were broken. The 4 days were there often on. Being on 10 floor. It was very unfortunate. Not just one but both were broken. You would think such a nice hotel you would call someone asap or put signs out but instead everyone kept waiting for hours without knowing

SLS is a lot of fun- pool party is great for people watching and dancing. However, if you actually plan to sleep in the hotel, don’t bother, the music bumps until the wee hours of the AM. The property does need some upgrades too- I stepped on at least 2 tacks that were coming through the carpeting in the floor in my room. And the elevator got stuck one evening and someone had to pry the doors open to exit. Other than that, a good time and walkable to just about everything.
