The Putney Inn

The room was clean. Greeted with a smile at the front desk. Breakfast was a basic set of cereals, oatmeal, yogurt. Parking was plentiful even though the hotel was sold out.

Nice enough for the price, owners were very nice, room was ok, internet not so good, breakfast meh…all in all, good value stay.

My room was clean and comfortable. I slept good, better then other hotels I’ve stayed at. The noise level at night was very minimal, just a train at 2:30am one of the three nights I stayed, he blew his whistle because they had a road crossing by there. Didn’t hear much noise through the walls, there were people above me and each side of me. The shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water and the toilet flushed real good. I had a king bed and it was comfortable, no sag in it. The place was on the older side but it was kept up. The TV remote was easy to figure out and use, unlike some hotels that you can’t hardly use because you can’t figure it out. I had a good stay here and would stay again. There is plenty of parking. The staff was helpful as I requested a ground level room because I have a bad knee and can’t walk up and down stairs, there’s no elevator, and they got me at ground level. We first stayed 2 nights in September 2025. We had a nice stay, clean room and pet friendly and the price was reasonable. Some landscaping/leaf blowing early on the second morning but nothing that left a bad impression. Second stay April 18-19. Checked in at 4pm and we were going to relax a little while before dinner. Landscaping crew was using leaf blowers to move dirt around the parking lot right outside our room. After about an hour went to office and asked if it would be ending soon. Got a vague answer about who was doing it and why and said they would talk to the landscapers. Leaf blower didn’t stop. After 2 hours went to landscapers and asked how much longer. They said 15 minutes but didn’t end then. Again, we complained to motel staff, still nothing. They kept using the leaf blowers and moving dirt around the parking lot until 7:15pm when it began to get dark. So beware if you are looking to have a little quiet, relaxing in your room. It’s next to impossible with 3+ hours of an extremely loud leaf blower outside the room.
