I had a wonderful stay at this charming bed and breakfast. The property is beautifully maintained, with great attention to detail and a lovely Victorian style atmosphere. My room was very full of character, although I have to say that the single room was quite small. However, everything was extremely clean, well cared for, and thoughtfully arranged.a special mention goes to Deborah, who was absolutely wonderful. She is not only kind and welcoming, but she has a rare ability to make guests feel truly at home. Her warmth, care, and genuine hospitality made my stay even more special. Thank you, Deborah, for your exceptional hospitality!I also had the pleasure of meeting Teresa, who was incredibly kind and welcoming. She added an extra touch of warmth to my stay, and her homemade cookies were absolutely delicious — truly wonderful!the breakfast was excellent: generous, varied, and delicious, with great attention to quality.Overall, this is a lovely place with a unique charm, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy and welcoming stay.

We loved our stay @ the Lillagaard. It was clean, the staff was friendly, breakfast we delicious and it was so close to the beach and to town. We will definitely stay here again.

We had the best stay at The Lillagaard! We were only there for one night but wish we stayed longer. From the very start, the owner, Suzanne, was beyond accommodating. She called to see when I would be checking in and when I told her I was going to be in town earlier than expected she offered an early check in since the room was ready. The property has a stunning view of the ocean and plenty of porch seating on various levels to take it in. The house is full of charm and everything was very clean. The room was comfortable and charming. It was a little chilly later in the day and before I could even ask, Suzanne, brought an extra blanket to the room. The hot breakfast was more than we expected and I loved that we could customize our order. You cannot find a friendly or more accommodating staff. Overall amazing experience and if you are looking for a place to relax and unwind at the beach, then I could not recommend this place enough! We can’t wait to visit again!

Even though the staff was very polite and service oriented the building was old, the showers and bathrooms were community showers and bathrooms in each floor. In the shower the handles had mold. When anyone in the building open a faucet, flushed the toilet or showered you could hear it in the dinning room area located in the basement. We were staying in the 3rd floor and the staircase was steep with a very low handrail. The floors creaked. In the middle of the night the retractable window shades popped out of the window shade and fell on the floor. Will stay there again.
