Our favorite hotel by far. Beautiful property, rooms…everything. Well equipped gym and maintained. Great customer service and staff. Overall peaceful. Lots of care goes into this property. If ever in Agadir again, most certainly stay here!!!

Hôtel magnifique avec une très belle végétation, deux belles piscines et un accès direct à la plage. Trois restaurants de qualité avec un chef attentionné et très disponible. Seul bémol de notre séjour: travaux sans discontinuer pendant 1/2 journée (14h-20h30), la veille de notre départ, à proximité du spa, sans aucune information au préalable. Impossibilité de rester à la piscine ou au restaurant de plage. Aucun retour de la direction de l'hôtel malgré nos requêtes à la réception.

The hotel is really lush and beautiful. Would we go back? No. Purely because they charge you for everything you wanna do - padel is €40/€50 . They make crepes for fun in the reception and there’s a charge - it’s all just silly. So it isn’t a regular 5* where these things come as part of your nightly rate . It’s gorgeous, but that sort of opportunistic charging ruins it. Plus kids under 16 can’t use the pool so on our 2 lashing rainy days, our 10 year old literally had nothing to do. The hotel next door gave us bikes so we cycled in the rain. The Thalassa doesn’t even have a few bikes you can borrow (they’d prob charge more than the cost of it anyway :)). Gorg hotel. But they need to ditch the greed!

We had a great time at this resort. The hotel rooms are great and the grounds are amazing. We loved the breakfast buffet and the seaside bar, the pool bar, and all the pools. The kids had a great time playing at the pool. It is at the beach, so you can walk to take a swim there too. Very well protected and felt safe.

Séjour bien passer à l’hôtel, service et accueil impeccable de tout le personnel, massage express, salon de coiffure parfait, un bémol sur la partie piscine chauffante qui n’y étais pas du tout.. mais enfin de journée cela n’empêche pas son utilisation.. Ce qui est un peu dommage c’est la plage qui mérite une petit nettoyage journalier devant l’hôtel

This is a stunning hotel with beautiful pool areas and a choice of 3 restaurants all of which offer excellent food. The breakfast was amazing with loads of stunning pastries and everything you could wish for. The staff were helpful and friendly. Would definitely go back.

We booked a 4 night stay in Agadir for our wedding anniversary. We emailed the hotel for our airport transfer which they kindly arranged without any issues. Mr Houcine called us personally the day before our travel to reassure us that all was ok. On arrival to Agadir airport, our driver was on time, warm & welcoming. A lovely start! We arrived at Sofitel & was greeted with genuine warmth by Mr Houcine & his team. Fatima was helpful, answered any questions we had & showed us to our lovely room which was perfect for the two of us, not too big, not too small with a good sized balcony. It was very clean & comfortable & met our expectations. The hotel sits on a large beautiful space & the grounds are very well maintained & calming. A superb place to unwind & relax. All the staff & security were attentive, professional & friendly. They represented well & are a credit to the Sofitel brand. The restaurants & food are of a high standard with a good variety of quality food. The prices are very reasonable with good portion sizes. We also had the pleasure of using Thalassa Sea & Spa. The team & therapists were so nice, welcoming & were very informative. The facilities were excellent, very clean & hygienic. We were blown away by the level of service, attention & kindness we received, when to our surprise, our room was decorated to wish us a Happy Anniversary - a truly lovely gesture which made our day even more special, thank you! It was a real pleasure to stay at this wonderful hotel.

L'hôtel est très beau, les extérieurs sauvages et juste en face de la plage. Néanmoins un service client et un rapport qualité/prix déplorable pour ce séjour. Pour 200euros par nuit sans petit déjeuner, notre chambre était très petite (2 lits collés de 80cm de large, poussières sous le lit), salle de bain petite avec une seule vasque, oubli des serviettes de tête & pied, nous avons dû réclamer 3 fois les serviettes pour qu'elles arrivent. Les cartes se démagnétisait à chaque fois, nous avons dû retourner 5 fois à la réception... Nous faisions attention pourtant de ne pas mettre notre téléphone à côté. Néanmoins la literie était très bonne Petit déjeuner en buffet excellent avec beaucoup de choix. ATTENTION le spa (hammam, jacuzzi, piscine intérieur) est payant! 300 dirhams soit 30euros pour 1h30.... Moi qui pensait que l'accès au spa était inclus dans le prix de la chambre, j'ai été fortement déçue. Les prix des massages sont exorbitants. à ce prix là au Maroc, c'est du vol. Je ne reviendrai pas dans cet hôtel, qui ne remplit pas pour moi les critères d'un 5 étoiles, et qui est bien trop cher pour le Maroc. Je pensais vouloir me faire plaisir pour la fin de mon séjour, et j'ai été très déçue!

The hotel was lovely. The communication with staff was difficult sometimes as 80% did not know how to speak English. There was very small ants around the outside and inside of the door to our hotel room when i made them aware they did not understand or didn't want to understand and did nothing to resolve the situation. Communication when ordering food was difficult ended up ordering double and paying more for certain items due to lack of understanding. If fluent in french then you are ok. Overall the hotel was beautiful.

The staff as well as the cleanliness and amenities of the hotel made our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. We had my Mum on the wheelchair and she felt so welcomed and was able to enjoy her stay very much.

Schönes Hotel mit gutem Frühstück und tollem Strandzugang. Leider hatten wir während unseres Aufenthaltes in unserem Zimmer Bettwanzenbefall was unseren Aufenthalt sehr getrübt hat. Man hatte uns ein anderes Zimmer gegeben, aber dieses neue Zimmer war nur ein paar Zimmer weiter vom befallenen Zimmer und wir hatten dann kein gutes Gefühl mehr. Auch nach unserer Rückkehr haben wir grossen Aufwand betrieben um keine Bettwanzen in unser zu Hause zu bringen. Sehr Schade weil das Hotel sehr schön ist. Wir hätten uns gewünscht, dass das Hotel das Thema ernster nimmt.

We booked a 4 night stay in Agadir for our wedding anniversary. We emailed the hotel for our airport transfer which they kindly arranged without any issues. Mr Houcine called us personally the day before our travel to reassure us that all was ok. On arrival to Agadir airport, our driver was on time, warm & welcoming. A lovely start! We arrived at Sofitel & was greeted with genuine warmth by Mr Houcine & his team. Fatima was helpful, answered any questions we had & showed us to our lovely room which was perfect for the two of us, not too big, not too small with a good sized balcony. It was very clean & comfortable & met our expectations. The hotel sits on a large beautiful space & the grounds are very well maintained & calming. A superb place to unwind & relax. All the staff & security were attentive, professional & friendly. They represented well & are a credit to the Sofitel brand. The restaurants & food are of a high standard with a good variety of quality food. The prices are very reasonable with good portion sizes. We also had the pleasure of using Thalassa Sea & Spa. The team & therapists were so nice, welcoming & were very informative. The facilities were excellent, very clean & hygienic. We were blown away by the level of service, attention & kindness we received, when to our surprise, our room was decorated to wish us a Happy Anniversary - a truly lovely gesture which made our day even more special, thank you! It was a real pleasure to stay at this wonderful hotel.

Pro: overall this is a lovely hotel, well maintained with helpful staff. The 2 pools are great (one heated). The rooms are fine (bathroom and toilet on the small side but a nice size terrace). Breakfast buffet is decent. The restaurant on the beachfront is great. Con: The drinks and food at the hotel are a bit pricey (unsurprising I suppose for a 5*). The evening buffet is around £35 per head, but wasn't spectacular. We only went once, at 8.30pm and the staff were already packing away the food. As I said above, staff were overall very helpful and courteous. However a few staff can be a bit intense, especially when they know you're leaving soon. My wife was witness to an unseemly scene between 2 waiters who were obviously arguing (very loudly and almost physically) about who should serve her. No doubt this was about tips, and I have no problem with giving tips, but this was unacceptable. I will be writing to Sofitel to make them aware of this. None of that however should take away from the fact that this is a very nice hotel.

Service was excellent, the room was spacious and beautiful, and the hotel’s location is very convenient—close to the marina and many great restaurants. The private beach access was a highlight that made our stay even more special. The breakfast buffet was generous with an excellent selection, and the entire team went above and beyond with their hospitality. Thank you 🙏 We would definitely stay here again.

L'hôtel est très beau, les extérieurs sauvages et juste en face de la plage. Néanmoins un service client et un rapport qualité/prix déplorable pour ce séjour. Pour 200euros par nuit sans petit déjeuner, notre chambre était très petite (2 lits collés de 80cm de large, poussières sous le lit), salle de bain petite avec une seule vasque, oubli des serviettes de tête & pied, nous avons dû réclamer 3 fois les serviettes pour qu'elles arrivent. Les cartes se démagnétisait à chaque fois, nous avons dû retourner 5 fois à la réception... Nous faisions attention pourtant de ne pas mettre notre téléphone à côté. Néanmoins la literie était très bonne Petit déjeuner en buffet excellent avec beaucoup de choix. ATTENTION le spa (hammam, jacuzzi, piscine intérieur) est payant! 300 dirhams soit 30euros pour 1h30.... Moi qui pensait que l'accès au spa était inclus dans le prix de la chambre, j'ai été fortement déçue. Les prix des massages sont exorbitants. à ce prix là au Maroc, c'est du vol. Je ne reviendrai pas dans cet hôtel, qui ne remplit pas pour moi les critères d'un 5 étoiles, et qui est bien trop cher pour le Maroc. The staff here don't know how to look after customers or complaints. Our first room had tiles falling off the wall, unfinished grout and a musky odor. Our second room was fine, however the design of the basic rooms leaves a lot to be desired. They haven't been updated since they first opened by the looks of it, sub par for a 5 star hotel. More verging on a rundown 3 star room. When I wasn't with my wife, she would be asked what her room number is, this happened on 3 occasions. The staff aren't proactive, you must always call them over or get up and walk to them to get attention for little things. They never replenished our water in the 4 nights we were there, each time having to talk to someone. Or calling concierge. We were told and checkin that our return transfer would be complimentary, it wasn't and I had to have that removed from my bill. We burned ourselves at breakfast due to the faulty bread toster, staff just watched as things happened, no one ever asked to help. You must be self sufficient in this hotel, unless your Arab or French. The hotel manager was informed of all of this at checkout. No remedy was taken, if anything condescending remarks on how I said it was "okay" in the morning the single time she asked if everything was fine. I should've refused to pay the bill. Terrible place. 1 star. Ruined the end of our holiday.

We booked 2 rooms here and arrived at 1600 hours. We had to wait 1 hour for the room and the customer service was arrogant and as though they were doing us a favour. Check in time is normally 1500. What the management agreed was not carried through by the staff. Each staff member was looking to hussle and make a quick buck and not concerned about customer care.

An absolute heaven and paradise ... Pure escapism .. surrounded by beauty, serenity and a tropical oasis .. the design is just out of this world. Pictures do not do it justice ... So much more stunning in person. But credit where it is due, the level of customer service is 5000 out of 10 :) Yacine and Hassan were so lovely and welcoming from the second me and my 10 year old son arrived. The energy of the people who work here, like everyone has said, you can tell they truly care about your experience. The staff always have a smile on their face, it really made the stay top notch. We only stayed for 2 days but will stay for longer next time. During the evening the hotel completely transforms and you can forget all your worries and the hustle of life back in London. Did not want to leave. Highly recommend the tapas restaurant which was outstanding. The gentleman serving us was so lovely and helpful ; wish I could remember his name. Thankyou so much for the best time. P.S they have a gorgeous black cat Sophie that is well looked after. My son was very excited to see her. For any animal lovers please do bring treats for her as I will do next time :)

What Sofitel always does for me and why I continue to use their brand worldwide is their attention to customers. They all go out of the way to make the stay welcoming. Getting a taxi outside is easy, but kinda of a drag being so far from town. Made us wanna stay at resort even more. Everyone from kitchen, to lobby, to cleaning crew to servers was impecabble. I would return.
Beach was nice. Short walk from room and hotel lobby. Got to see sunset from their chairs every night. Pro: overall this is a lovely hotel, well maintained with helpful staff. The 2 pools are great (one heated). The rooms are fine (bathroom and toilet on the small side but a nice size terrace). Breakfast buffet is decent. The restaurant on the beachfront is great. Con: The drinks and food at the hotel are a bit pricey (unsurprising I suppose for a 5*). The evening buffet is around £35 per head, but wasn't spectacular. We only went once, at 8.30pm and the staff were already packing away the food. As I said above, staff were overall very helpful and courteous. However a few staff can be a bit intense, especially when they know you're leaving soon. My wife was witness to an unseemly scene between 2 waiters who were obviously arguing (very loudly and almost physically) about who should serve her. No doubt this was about tips, and I have no problem with giving tips, but this was unacceptable. I will be writing to Sofitel to make them aware of this. None of that however should take away from the fact that this is a very nice hotel.

This hotel was wonderful. We had a couple of issues with the room when we first got there which staff quickly resolved! Laila from the cleaning team was amazing! Lahouciane from the breakfast service team was a joy to speak to everyday! Down to Mohammed who I spoke to a lot for room service. Everyone made the trip so much wonderful. The restaurants were really nice! The Mexican tapas bar did the best churros we’ve ever had and the beach restaurants lamb chops and salt sea bass was sensational! Would recommend and return.

This is a stunning hotel with beautiful pool areas and a choice of 3 restaurants all of which offer excellent food. The breakfast was amazing with loads of stunning pastries and everything you could wish for. The staff were helpful and friendly. Would definitely go back.

This hotel is calm with good rooms and housekeeping but misses the mark too much. Service was usually sleepy, the place very not smoke free with lots of smoking around the pool, the technology was outdated with no usb sockets anywhere or Netflix and a pretty useless hotel app too. Just a very forgettable place to stay, hopefully I just hit a bad week but it should be really special and was not.

Loved this hotel! We stayed for four nights and had a great experience. We didn't end up exploring much else in Agadir and found that the hotel restaurants (particularly Le Plage) was all we needed for lunches and dinners. Gym was well equipped with branded machines that could be in any regular gym. Large pool area, we got ourselves a cabana every day and beachfront so possible to go have a swim in the sea (large waves!). The spa is not included was 300 MAD, which only includes access to a pool and hammam, would recommend getting a massage treatment instead. Service was great and we got lots of refills for water and toiletries. I think they cleaned the room twice per day. Concierge was helpful in organizing transfer to Marrakech and Quad Bike tour. Overall hotel was great value for money and there wasn't really much need to leave to see other parts of Agadir for us.

My experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing and far from what I would expect from a luxury property. On arrival, one staff member took all three of our passports, completed the check-in process, and told us everything was fine and that our room would be ready shortly. However, when we returned, another employee informed us that our king room for two people could not accommodate a third guest, despite us never being told this beforehand. I explained that I was willing to pay any additional fee required, but the staff member was dismissive and rude, forcing us to pay extra for a so-called “upgraded” room. Ironically, the upgraded room was clearly still meant for only two people, as it originally had two twin beds with a rollaway bed added and was only stocked with amenities for two guests. We had to contact room service ourselves just to request basic additional items such as towels and a robe for the third guest, making the original room we booked seem far more suitable and comfortable. The check-in process became even more frustrating due to the rude and passive-aggressive behavior from another employee named Munia, who made both me and my mother feel very unwelcome. To make matters worse, the room contained moths, which made it uncomfortable to sleep in. While I understand that bugs can sometimes happen and may not be the hotel’s fault, it would have been appreciated if the room had been properly checked. Overall the poor customer service made our stay disappoin
