AI-generated summary based on recent guest reviews

Kempinski Seychelles Resort delivers a serene, scenic beachfront experience with friendly staff, spacious rooms, and well-kept grounds, but several reviews note expensive on-site dining, a remote location with few nearby restaurants, and beach conditions that can be rocky or seaweed-covered.

Stayed 2 nights

We stayed 5 nights. The resort and grounds and beach are spectacular. Staff super-friendly. Large room with full amenities and view. Excellent breakfast buffet. BUT ... Meals are double the reasonable price, and very ordinary. I cook better at home. e.g. Caesar Salad was missing bacon and poached egg, price USD50. Most of the evening dishes are lunch style, e.g. poke bowl, sashimi, salads. The steak and fish meals are USD100+. I would stay again, but take some local advice and find a local restaurant.

The front desk staff. Now, I’m not talking about all staff, as many of the golf cart drivers we became chatty and friendly with, but the front desk staff in particular made us feel as though they were doing us a favor by simply asking basic questions like “could you call us a taxi?” or “I’d like to ask if there is availability for a late check out or to add an additional night”. The “Ladies in Red” were helpful when we spoke with them but the front desk staff we found to be rude, almost to the point of insulting. At roughly €850 a night this is not how we expected service to be. We are NOT bougie and were very polite to everyone that we interacted with, but I’ve had more pleasant service at a Holiday Inn. When trying to get dinner at 2 of the onsite restaurants we watched entire tables get seated after us, orders taken, drinks delivered, and couldn’t even get someone to bring us water. On one night we actually walked out of one of the restaurants after sitting for a half hour without even a glance in our direction. Unacceptable. I’ve worked in restaurants and that is not how to treat customers. I understand the “island pace” as I’ve been to Caribbean islands and grew up on an island, but this was rudeness, plain and simple. Considering others were having orders taken and being served there is not any other reason I can think of as to why we would be ignored. We tipped, we thanked everyone, it doesn’t make sense. They weren’t overly busy. Book someplace else

The room was gorgeous - v spacious. Amazing for snorkelling and the beach is absolutely stunning. We really enjoyed the food, my only suggestion would be to have some free bubbly at breakfast as other comparable resorts on Mahe do. The coffee is actually good here which is rare! The alcoholic drinks aren’t cheap but they are nice. The service is great, bringing you water on the sunloungers.
