Room was clean but bathroom fan did not work and toilet pan rim needed a good clean. New owners meant that residents now have to pay for parking. Not a huge problem as it's £4 for 24 hours. Staff were courteous. Would consider staying again. Thank you.

Excellent value for money, comfy bed. Kettle was too big for an easy fill but not the end of the world. Good location, very clean and very friendly staff. Basic room and amenities. Cheap parking across from hotel at £4.50 for 24 hours. Good value in Bridgnorth and the bonus of a Nepalese restaurant on site.

Really enjoyed our stay at the George The location is good, a short walk to both high and low town areas of Bridgnorth town centre. Parking available opposite the hotel at the severn valley railway £4 for 24 hours. Room was very nice if I'm being hyper critical the bathroom could do with a little TLC The real bonus is the restaurant in the hotel that is as long as you enjoy Nepalese/Indian food really tasty and very reasonable price. The ladies who run the hotel are really nice and hard working. Would i return. Yes definitely Thank you for your hospitality

Pub which has been converted into an Indian Restaurant. Very attentive and friendly service. Nice modern room opposite the steam railway. Easy access to town centre with shopping bars cafes restaurants etc. Good breakfast included. Parking available opposite (£4 for 24 hrs). Only negative comment was pounding music from below however to be fair this ended at 10.30 so did not interfere with sleeping.

Friendly staff, the room was ok for one nights stay. Easy to walk to High Town Parking overnight was tricky ! There is no hotel car park except 2 disabled spots. You can park over the road, overnight on the Severn valley railway car park if you can find a space otherwise you can park on the overspill car park but have to move your car to the road front car park to park overnight ! There was entertainment at the hotel. We enjoyed watching the band playing and the sun was shining. The 2 young girls cleaning and waiting on were fabulous and very hard working.

A great place to stay with it's welcoming bar, smart appearance, spacious and clean rooms. Comfy bed & nice breakfast. Not sure about the bottled water in the room instead of a glass, next to the eco-towels sign.. But a great stay, a real pleasure to have been there overlooking the old railway station. Liked the train themed room names too.

Lovely property and are bedroom was lovely, but shower didn't work properly and there was no bath plug....the rim in the toiket was very dirty as was the taps in the bath and sink and ghe grout around the tiles so the bathroom let it down...but the little roof terrace was great and tge bed was comfortable and we lived are stay.

Convienient for our needs on that day. Room very hot and a fan would be appreciated in this hot weather. Couldn't have window open as on very busy, noisy main road. Room st rear may have been better. Bathroom could do with deep clesn on shower tiles, floor behind bathroom door and behind radiator. Staff very friendly and worked hard. Evening meal and breakfast very good.

This was a late booking which was cheap and cheerful. Staff were friendly and the hotel clean. However, the hotel is a bit tired and could do with some love and investment in the common areas. The shower was good, but the grouting is mouldy and needs replacing. The pub sign should be restored and the awful sticky platic signs removed. Lastly, the breakfast 'sandwich' wasn't great and perhaps more thought given to the quality and presentation. This could be a great little place with some vision.

Just okay - needed a bed for myself and 2 friends to come down for a wedding, and it did the job. The service was a little strange, a bit poor really. Arrived and the welcome was as if we were an inconvenience. We were asked to pre-order our breakfasts for both days and what times when we arrived. 2 of us said vegetarian - on the second morning "we have no vegetarian". What was the point of asking us 2 days in advance if you are not going to make sure you are properly supplied. Quite poor really. The room was not very clean, and when we arrived the toilet didn't flush. The woman just pointed at the toilet and said "sorry" (no extra info) - I had to clarify a plumber was actually on their way that day! Didn't get fixed until 7pm ish. Not good. The place looked like it had never had a deep clean. Set in water marks on the shower, dirt around the toilet seat, hair and dirt in the sink, extremely marked kitchen sink in the suite. The bed itself was actually okay. As I said, it did the job fine as we didn't spend much time in the room, but plenty of room for improvement. Cheap in comparison, but still a chunk of money for what you actually get.

We had a suite which was spacious and comfortable but a little tired. We were above the kitchen and it was a little too warm. The mattress was very comfortable and I slept well. The breakfast was very good.

The music was loud until 11pm and people talking in the restaurant quite loud until 11pm otherwise it was fine ,very clean ,breakfast I had the waiter gave me my scrambled eggs and I never saw him again.I just left and saw no one ?

Clean and comfortable room. Good value for money. Clean but slightly worn towels and small maintenance repairs visible but not so it messed up my stay. Would recommend this place to others. Was difficult checking in because it was on the bar where other customers demanded attention

Stumbled across The George and was super happy with my stay! Lovely room with direct access to a shared balcony, directly across from a steam railway station, (disused at night so no noise issues). The area was gorgeous, and surrounding town of Bridgnorth is incredible - I highly recommend visiting! The atmosphere of the pub in The George was terrific, the food was great and well priced. The owner personally took my call to help me with directions, (my fault!), and joined me to dinner to swap stories. When I tried to stay another night they were fully booked, but he directed me to another terrific hotel in the area for the night. For the price the hotel charges it was great, although bare in mind it is an old building. I will be back to Bridgnorth and I certainly will be back to The George Hotel!

A perfect stay. Our room was spacious, spotless, warm and well equipped. The staff were absolutely brilliant too - helpful, fruendly and kind. Of special mention however, is the foodnhere. Absolutely superb food

Just okay - needed a bed for myself and 2 friends to come down for a wedding, and it did the job. The service was a little strange, a bit poor really. Arrived and the welcome was as if we were an inconvenience. We were asked to pre-order our breakfasts for both days and what times when we arrived. 2 of us said vegetarian - on the second morning "we have no vegetarian". What was the point of asking us 2 days in advance if you are not going to make sure you are properly supplied. Quite poor really. The room was not very clean, and when we arrived the toilet didn't flush. The woman just pointed at the toilet and said "sorry" (no extra info) - I had to clarify a plumber was actually on their way that day! Didn't get fixed until 7pm ish. Not good. The place looked like it had never had a deep clean. Set in water marks on the shower, dirt around the toilet seat, hair and dirt in the sink, extremely marked kitchen sink in the suite. The bed itself was actually okay. As I said, it did the job fine as we didn't spend much time in the room, but plenty of room for improvement. Cheap in comparison, but still a chunk of money for what you actually get.

We have had a very pleasant stay. The room was very good value and breakfast was super tasty. We enjoyed the location next to the old railway. Took a brisk walk into town and enjoyed drinks and cinema. Thankyou to the joyful young couple running the accommodation very sweet

Very helpful staff. Always smiling and happy to help in anyway they can. Food is amazing. Car park opposite for £4.00 per day. Close to the high town. Hotel in low town. Plenty of bars and food places in high town

Stumbled across The George and was super happy with my stay! Lovely room with direct access to a shared balcony, directly across from a steam railway station, (disused at night so no noise issues). The area was gorgeous, and surrounding town of Bridgnorth is incredible - I highly recommend visiting! The atmosphere of the pub in The George was terrific, the food was great and well priced. The owner personally took my call to help me with directions, (my fault!), and joined me to dinner to swap stories. When I tried to stay another night they were fully booked, but he directed me to another terrific hotel in the area for the night. For the price the hotel charges it was great, although bare in mind it is an old building. I will be back to Bridgnorth and I certainly will be back to The George Hotel!

Really enjoyed our stay at the George The location is good, a short walk to both high and low town areas of Bridgnorth town centre. Parking available opposite the hotel at the severn valley railway £4 for 24 hours. Room was very nice if I'm being hyper critical the bathroom could do with a little TLC The real bonus is the restaurant in the hotel that is as long as you enjoy Nepalese/Indian food really tasty and very reasonable price. The ladies who run the hotel are really nice and hard working. Would i return. Yes definitely Thank you for your hospitality

Staff/Customer Service was excellent, as was the dining quality. Just a short walk up the hill to the High Town centre where there are an abundance of quality shops, bars and restaurants. The Severn Valley Railway is also on the doorstep of the Hotel

Friendly staff, the room was ok for one nights stay. Easy to walk to High Town Parking overnight was tricky ! There is no hotel car park except 2 disabled spots. You can park over the road, overnight on the Severn valley railway car park if you can find a space otherwise you can park on the overspill car park but have to move your car to the road front car park to park overnight ! There was entertainment at the hotel. We enjoyed watching the band playing and the sun was shining. The 2 young girls cleaning and waiting on were fabulous and very hard working.

The music was loud until 11pm and people talking in the restaurant quite loud until 11pm otherwise it was fine ,very clean ,breakfast I had the waiter gave me my scrambled eggs and I never saw him again.I just left and saw no one ?

Convienient for our needs on that day. Room very hot and a fan would be appreciated in this hot weather. Couldn't have window open as on very busy, noisy main road. Room st rear may have been better. Bathroom could do with deep clesn on shower tiles, floor behind bathroom door and behind radiator. Staff very friendly and worked hard. Evening meal and breakfast very good.

Room clean, bed comfortable with everything I needed. Good shower. Breakfast cooked to order and was plentiful and very tasty. Cooked and presented well. Good time slots offered for breakfast and checking out for 11am just right. Roisin was polite and very attentive offering a warm welcome. The room was small and basic but good for the price. A fan wss provided, made the room comfortable in the heat. The staff were friendly but had limited English. The restaurant was closed on the Monday which was disappointing as I wanted to try the Gurkha cuisine. The full English breakfast was excellent.

We booked a one night stay at the George and will 100% stay again. Please bear in mind that this is a very old building so it is not perfect but at the same time does not show and major issues. The room was clean with a large comfortable bed and all the usual bits and pieces. The lady in charge is very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for her. The restaurant is a Ghurka and I must say that the food is absolutely amazing and shouldn't be missed. The George is in a nice location directly opposite the Severn Valley Railway station and about a 15 minute walk into town. There are only 2 parking bays which are reserved for disabled drivers but the car park directly opposite is a pay and display with a very reasonable charge of only £4 for 24 hours.
