Great place to hang for a couple days! Great food and sometimes has music on site. Wake up, put snorkel gear on and explore! Have diving boats, but we didn't partake in that. Boat traffic can be heavy - so bring a bouy.

This property is set up for divers. We especially loved the option to shore dive independently and did several excellent night dives. Boat diving was also great and we were well looked after by all staff working with the dive shop. The food was varied and excellent. Again, all staff were fabulous and made our stay very comfortable. The live music was also great. The rooms are a little tired but if your focus is on diving it really isn’t an issue. They are very spacious and we loved having a view of the sea. If you are particularly sensitive to noise bring earplugs as you can hear the road a bit. We will stay again. Highly recommend.

I absolutely love the Blue Angel. They have the nicest little restaurant with live entertainment that you can even watch from your balcony. Staff is amazing and the location is perfect. Just far enough away from the cruise ships.

Property is in a convenient location to amenities and activities. All rooms have an ocean view. Restaurant serves good food. Good entertainment in the evening. Staff were friendly and helpful. Street noise is loud throughout the day, improves overnight and starts again early in morning with loading of the scuba cylinders.

This was our first trip to Cozumel and we can't imagine a more pleasing experience! The property has great snorkeling right off the dock just behind the hotel. I saw octopus, morays, stingrays, and lots of fish. The hotel is smaller (only about 25 rooms), so it's not heavily crowded. There is a dive shop on site with dives leaving from the hotel dock most days. The staff is great, and very friendly. We had one person leave atheir phone in a taxi and the desk staff went out of their way to check security footage, get the taxi number and then contact them to return the phone. Really went the extra mile. Breakfast is included in the room price which was super reasonable. And breakfast was great with large portions. We rarely needed to eat lunch at all while out doing excursions. I really like the eggs Benedict! The one thing you may want to know is that they participate in an ecoprogram, so no toilet paper goes in the toilet! Small cost to help save the reef! We will definately be returning here again!!

Great spot for diving!! Very accommodating staff, fantastic restaurant with live music, and great dive shop at the resort! Even in heavy rains, we got in some incredible dives of the local reefs. You feel like family in a great community of divers! We'll be back!

Staff are very helpful and kind, food is good for breakfast and lunch, didn't try dinner. Rooms are very good for the price and the location is fabulous for diving and swimming. Facility is tired and could use some investment but overall very pleased based on value.

Wir haben fünf wunderbare Tage im Blue Angel verbracht. Die Lage des Hotels ist top, die Sonnenuntergänge jeden Abend mit live Musik und happy hour sind nicht zu schlagen. Ebenfalls super ist, die direkte Anbindung an den Tauchshop mit super Angebot zu fairen Preisen. Der Service und das Essen im Restaurant waren stets sehr gut. Verbesserungswürdig ist einzig der Service an der Reception, die einem bei der Planung eines Ausflugs oder der Buchung der Fähre nicht gross unterstützten. Die Zimmer sind einigermassen sauber, jedoch schon in die Jahre gekommen. Alles in allem können wir das Hotel auf jeden Fall empfehlen!

The staff was remarkable, the cafe food was good, and the staff was attentive. Rooms were clean and each room had a balcony that overlooked the ocean. Dive operations were well run, and the location was conducive to introductory-type shore dives. I had a little issue with the hot water for a few days, but we made due. We would stay there again.

En lugar está muy bien ubicado con acceso y vista al mar en todos los puntos. La comida es buena, en especial los desayunos, el personal del restaruante es muy amable. Tienda de buceo y muelle para salir desde el hotel. Las instalaciones están descuidadas y la limpieza no es la mejor. El ruido de la calle es excesivo dentro de los cuartos así como el ruido que hacen en la tienda de buceo al cargar los tanques desde las 5:30 am. Condiciones de 2 estrellas pero ubicación de 5 estrellas. Conclusión: 3 de 5 si no vas a bucear, 4 de 5 si tu viaje es de buceo

The Blue Angel was perfect for us… the view of the ocean and sunsets from the balconie was supremely beautiful…. Included Breakfast was great!!! Eggs Benny or Pancakes or half papaya filled with other fruit cottage cheese….. we also took advantage of daily 2 for 1 happy hour… we also snorkled right at thre hotel and that was very cool too… lots of fish, some coral and even lots of sea urchins…would definitely recommend this place… 👍🏝️

This place is nice but definitely a "dive" hotel. It is clean and has everything you need but is very basic. For the positives, it has it's own dive shop and restaurant and every room has a nice balcony overlooking the water. The restaurant is very good and the waitstaff are all amazing ! I will say the happy hour drinks are noticeably not as good as the regular drinks. They had live music but it could be a little loud. Luckily it didn't go late. The front desk staff were not overly enthusiastic except for Carol who was a bright spot wherever she was on a given day. The dive shop was convenient but a couple of the dive masters were a little lazy if you had an issue underwater. I had to swim back to the boat for additional weight when usually they carry some for that purpose. And, other things as well. They also rescheduled our dive without telling us which meant we got up super early for no reason. That was extremely annoying. I also had a gauge that wasn't working and even though I pointed it out, they gave me the same set up the next day. The hotel could use some TLC. I think it's the same paint job since I was there in 2015 and it wasn't new then. The hot water sometimes takes a LONG time to get to the room and the acoustics are not great. They unloaded dive tanks every morning around 6am and it sounded like they were in our room ! Overall, if you know what to expect it's not a bad place.

Very nice view, right on the water. A bit out of the way from town. Large rooms. Food was ok. All a la carte, no buffet. Snorkeling in front of the resort. 5 days a week live music. Biggest problem is the street noise. It’s right on the only street to the south. Very loud. No noise abatement of the building. Doors don’t seal out the noise and the bathroom windows are always open.

we waited for 45 minutes for a drink and guacamole on our anniversary while they had an extra 70 people there for the live entertainment and 3 waiters that totally ignored the people actually staying at the hotel

For the positives, it has it's own dive shop and restaurant and every room has a nice balcony overlooking the water. The restaurant is very good and the waitstaff are all amazing ! I will say the happy hour drinks are noticeably not as good as the regular drinks. They had live music but it could be a little loud. Luckily it didn't go late. The front desk staff were not overly enthusiastic except for Carol who was a bright spot wherever she was on a given day. The dive shop was convenient but a couple of the dive masters were a little lazy if you had an issue underwater. I had to swim back to the boat for additional weight when usually they carry some for that purpose. And, other things as well. They also rescheduled our dive without telling us which meant we got up super early for no reason. That was extremely annoying. I also had a gauge that wasn't working and even though I pointed it out, they gave me the same set up the next day. The hotel could use some TLC. I think it's the same paint job since I was there in 2015 and it wasn't new then. The hot water sometimes takes a LONG time to get to the room and the acoustics are not great. They unloaded dive tanks every morning around 6am and it sounded like they were in our room ! Overall, if you know what to expect it's not a bad place.

This was our first trip to Cozumel and we can't imagine a more pleasing experience! The property has great snorkeling right off the dock just behind the hotel. I saw octopus, morays, stingrays, and lots of fish. The hotel is smaller (only about 25 rooms), so it's not heavily crowded. There is a dive shop on site with dives leaving from the hotel dock most days. The staff is great, and very friendly. We had one person leave atheir phone in a taxi and the desk staff went out of their way to check security footage, get the taxi number and then contact them to return the phone. Really went the extra mile. Breakfast is included in the room price which was super reasonable. And breakfast was great with large portions. We rarely needed to eat lunch at all while out doing excursions. I really like the eggs Benedict! The one thing you may want to know is that they participate in an ecoprogram, so no toilet paper goes in the toilet! Small cost to help save the reef! We will definately be returning here again!!

The staff was remarkable, the cafe food was good, and the staff was attentive. Rooms were clean and each room had a balcony that overlooked the ocean. Dive operations were well run, and the location was conducive to introductory-type shore dives. I had a little issue with the hot water for a few days, but we made due. We would stay there again.

Had an outstanding experience at Blue Angle Resort. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone. Breakfast was amazing liked that we could order anything off the breakfast menu. Room was clean. Staff was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING… The owner Eva was around most nights hanging out and getting to know everyone that was staying there. She’s one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. Always making sure everyone had everything they needed. Will definitely be going back and staying there again!!!!

The property was fine, old school Mexico. Staff was fantastic, business of diving not so good. After going back and forth with both the front desk (front desk VERY responsive, that's a positive) and dive shop for a week and getting settled to dive w Blue Angel, I got an email from the Dive Shop Manager a week later telling me (because I had not had a dive since 2023, about six months) that I had to pick one ---- a. pay for a $110 USD class to refresh, b. Pay approx $100 USD for a private Dive Master or c. pay $400 for a private boat. I declined to dive with them, and instead we did our diving with Aldora which was great, and I didn't need a special class. We are experienced divers with advanced certifications and were offended by the money grab. However, to my surprise, the hotel charged me $10 a day for my wife and I to walk off the dock into the Aldora dive boat. This was no where in the contract or the Blue Angel website. I thought it was tacky. But to Blue Angel's defense, the hotel manager wiped the charges off the bill. Thanks greatly to him for his quick reaction and great customer service. All in all, OK property and definitely only for divers. Some complain about beds, road noise and tanks clanking around early morning, we didn't notice. Put a beach towel on the floor behind your door, it does the trick. Beds just fine, it's a dive property, there are going to be clanging tanks.....deal with it. Many thanks to the staff of the restaurant and front desk.

I absolutely love the Blue Angel. They have the nicest little restaurant with live entertainment that you can even watch from your balcony. Staff is amazing and the location is perfect. Just far enough away from the cruise ships.

Property is in a convenient location to amenities and activities. All rooms have an ocean view. Restaurant serves good food. Good entertainment in the evening. Staff were friendly and helpful. Street noise is loud throughout the day, improves overnight and starts again early in morning with loading of the scuba cylinders.

The Blue Angel was perfect for us… the view of the ocean and sunsets from the balconie was supremely beautiful…. Included Breakfast was great!!! Eggs Benny or Pancakes or half papaya filled with other fruit cottage cheese….. we also took advantage of daily 2 for 1 happy hour… we also snorkled right at thre hotel and that was very cool too… lots of fish, some coral and even lots of sea urchins…would definitely recommend this place… 👍🏝️

I like their combination of being a hotel with dive shop and restaurant, it's all in one. Being on the ocean front the dive boats come right to you. Their dive masters know the all the reefs. Then there is the music entertainment at night, top notch music. Location is great, just south of downtown Cozumel so can get too Mega and the other stores very easily. The ocean view and sunset, you have to see it for yourself, words are not enough. If you're not a diver don't worry you will still have at Blue Angel with doing lots of fun activities Cozumel offers.

Very nice view, right on the water. A bit out of the way from town. Large rooms. Food was ok. All a la carte, no buffet. Snorkeling in front of the resort. 5 days a week live music. Biggest problem is the street noise. It’s right on the only street to the south. Very loud. No noise abatement of the building. Doors don’t seal out the noise and the bathroom windows are always open.

This is our second time here and it didn't disappoint. First, if you're looking for big resort conditions (Hilton, Westin, etc.) this isn't it. But most people should know that. If you're looking for a great affordable, comfortable place to stay, it's perfect. Having the restaurant/bar attached made it great. Food and beverages were great and affordable. They had poolside service from the restaurant and the free Spanish lessons from the servers was awesome! They also had live music several nights we were there. Check-in and check-out were flawless and easy. The only possible negative is that it's a 1.5 mile walk to town and other shops/bars/restaurants (we love to walk so no big deal) but a cab ride is just $5 each way. We will definitely be back again.

We had an enjoyable week at Blue Angel. The staff were awesome and the food was good. This is not a 5 star location and don't expect nice rooms. If you are into a rustic environment with good snorkeling right off the property and hard working employees, this is a good place to be. It will be a bit noisy from road traffic. You are about a mile walk to San Miguel and the tourist stuff, boat people. Overall we had a great time and you will to with the right expectations.

Pas de parking privatif, il faut se garer devant dans la rue. Chambre très bruyante : proche de la rue et animations musicales. Petit déjeuner soit disant inclus, mais fait ce n est qu un plat de la carte avec un café et si on ne boit pas de café, c est un supplément. Le service n est pas agréable sauf pour quémander le pourboire. Bref très grosse déception. La qualité du restaurant est moyenne.

The kitchen was being remodeled when we first got there. So they were serving everything out of a tent on the grass next to the pool. All the grass was wore out, and it was very muddy was the only real issue. The restaurant food was fantastic.

This property is set up for divers. We especially loved the option to shore dive independently and did several excellent night dives. Boat diving was also great and we were well looked after by all staff working with the dive shop. The food was varied and excellent. Again, all staff were fabulous and made our stay very comfortable. The live music was also great. The rooms are a little tired but if your focus is on diving it really isn’t an issue. They are very spacious and we loved having a view of the sea. If you are particularly sensitive to noise bring earplugs as you can hear the road a bit. We will stay again. Highly recommend.

Staff are very helpful and kind, food is good for breakfast and lunch, didn't try dinner. Rooms are very good for the price and the location is fabulous for diving and swimming. Facility is tired and could use some investment but overall very pleased based on value.

we waited for 45 minutes for a drink and guacamole on our anniversary while they had an extra 70 people there for the live entertainment and 3 waiters that totally ignored the people actually staying at the hotel

Great spot for diving!! Very accommodating staff, fantastic restaurant with live music, and great dive shop at the resort! Even in heavy rains, we got in some incredible dives of the local reefs. You feel like family in a great community of divers! We'll be back!

We had a great stay at the Blue Angel Dive resort. It was my 1st dive resort adventure as a new diver and they made me feel very comfortable and supported the whole time. It was wonderful having the restaurant on-site (with breakfast included -Bonus!). All the staff were great, especially Carlos & Rigel in the restaurant. Dive shop & boat folks were phenomenal! Dona Mary & Alfredo kept things on track & flowing. Ana took special care of me as I was a new diver & kinda freaked out at one point, but she reassured me while under the water & we finished strong & well. Hanging out at the resort was pleasant & relaxing. The pool was open and available til later in the evening and there was even really good live music several of the nights. No need to go anywhere else. Eva the owner was an added treat, very personable and kind. She definitely loves the place! I'm looking forward to my next trip back. It's not a "fancy" place, feels more like family & laid back. I really enjoyed it! The beds were comfortable and the rooms spacious. They supplied both shower & pool towels.

Blue Angel was everything we hoped for in a dive vacation & more. If you want polished luxury this may not be your place, but if you want a warm, authentic, rustic dive resort with incredible people, stunning views & a welcoming atmosphere, it’s absolute magic. The staff here is AMAZING. Everyone was friendly, helpful & genuinely cared about guests having a great experience. Eva, the owner, is kind, generous, hands-on & truly the heart of this place. She even went out of her way to make my birthday special & by the end felt more like a friend than a resort owner. The dive operation was FANTASTIC. Walking straight out to the dive boat was unbeatable & we loved that dives weren’t only at sunrise. The relaxed 10 AM departures felt much more vacation-friendly. Ana, our STELLAR dive master, was TOP notch & made my newer-diver friend feel comfortable & confident underwater. The food was excellent, especially the avocado smash, tacos, shrimp tempura & burgers. Carlos at the restaurant kept us laughing & also offers island tours, definitely hit him up if interested. The resort is clearly designed for divers w/ gear-hanging balconies, purified water stations, hammocks, a pool & easy night snorkeling where rays & octopus sure to be seen. A few tips: lots of stairs/no elevator, limited outlets so bring a power strip, no hair dryer & AT&T service struggled while Verizon worked better. We truly could not have been happier with our stay & absolutely plan to return. Highly recommend!

Walking straight out to the dive boat was unbeatable & we loved that dives weren’t only at sunrise. The relaxed 10 AM departures felt much more vacation-friendly. Ana, our STELLAR dive master, was TOP notch & made my newer-diver friend feel comfortable & confident underwater. The food was excellent, especially the avocado smash, tacos, shrimp tempura & burgers. Carlos at the restaurant kept us laughing & also offers island tours, definitely hit him up if interested. The resort is clearly designed for divers w/ gear-hanging balconies, purified water stations, hammocks, a pool & easy night snorkeling where rays & octopus sure to be seen. A few tips: lots of stairs/no elevator, limited outlets so bring a power strip, no hair dryer & AT&T service struggled while Verizon worked better. We truly could not have been happier with our stay & absolutely plan to return. Highly recommend!
