Worst hotel/hostel experience ever. I stayed in the building for exactly 10 minutes before i left. Loads of bed bugs. Dirty rooms, toilets, hallways. This place is not a hostel. Thin doors. Felt not safe. Please do not stay here. This listing should be taken off from hotels.com. absolutely the worst place ever. Never ever again.

Ofräscht och märklig lukt på hela nedervåningen. När jag vaknar på morgonen ser jag två stora vägglöss som kryper på täcket.

We aren't picky and have stayed in lots of hostels. I killed 3 bedbugs in our room, 1 was full of blood. Bathrooms were filthy our entire stay. Feces on walls, blood on toilet seats, mold all over shower walls, bath floors covered with tp & trash. Kitchen was dirty and unusable. Refrigerator packed full of residents' food. Several guests obviously were locals who used this as a full time residence (near homeless). Can't recommend this place. Stay here if you can't find anything else.

They have bed bugs!! It's very dirty and it smells. When I started to put on the bed sheets I noticed bed bugs! So I left the hostel immediately and didn't even get a whole refund! I usually don't have high expectations or needs in a hostel but having bed bugs is a no-go! Even if you want to travel cheap it's definitely not worth it and I would recommend to invest 2€ more and stay in another hostel. Worst hostel experience so far.

The installations are in a really poor state, the smells on the whole place are really bad and the rooms are not properly clean at all. Not recommended at all.

This was just sad. Bed Bugs in the bed and room. Stayed for 2 night, but it was worse than I thought. Service was good, but not the little pets sucking blood. Cheap, but not worth the money when you know that you will wake up in the night with them crawling around you in the bed..

The experience was terrible, there was a lot of noise, I couldn't rest at all, it even scared me and I left as early as possible, the cleaning is also terrible, there were cockroaches and other bugs in the bed. It even gave me an allergy, the bathrooms were very dirty too.

Tjenens läslampa var trasig och min hade inte ens en glödlampa i sig. Annars bestod inredningen mest av en väggspegel som rasat ner och stod lutad mot garderoben. Kassa sängar. Sängarna var riktigt märkliga, bäddmadrasserna var större än själva sängstommen och hängde ut på sidorna. Sängarna gav av sig sådana ljud och gav oss en känsla av att kunna falla ihop när som helst. Märklig personal, öppnade våran dörr utan att ens knacka innan. Dålig stämning, hela stället gav dåliga vibes och verkar locka till sig ett skult klientel. Sammanfattningsvis det funkar någon natt om pengarna tryter, eller som det i vårat fall, var fullt på alla andra hotell. Har man möjlighet att boka något annat bör man göra det.

Skumt ställe. Rummer mycket undermåligt med mögel och hylla som inte satt fast. Priserna för att hyra lakan stämmer inte med det som står på hotels. Toaletter trånga och smutsiga, men det kan bero på dem som bor där och inte personalen... inte prisvärt.

They charge extra for the bed sheets. Dirty and stinky, starting from the broken entrance door to the broken washroom facilities. If you arrive late at night you might not even get your room number and the code. There’s nothing you can enjoy about this place and honestly it shouldn’t be listed here.

Inga duschdraperier i duschen så de rena kläderna man vill ta med in för att byta till, de blir blöta. Alternativt att gå med bara handduk genom korridorerna till rummet efteråt. Det var inte städat och renbäddat vid incheckning sent på em. Rummet luktade kloak/ammoniak pga fel på ventilationen så jag fick ”sova” med öppen dörr och pelarfläkt igång i dörröppningen hela natten. Dvs knappt sovit mer än 2-3 timmar. Utöver det en livsfarlig lampa i badrummet och ett trasigt, fotvrickande trappsteg. Sämsta hostel någonsin!

Værelset var uden vindue og ikke særlig rent. Det fælles bad var virkelig ulækkert.

Det var ofräscht , trånga rum med dåligt luft, toaletter ofräscht hela stället. Absolut inte värt pengarna

Ett ställe med gäster som är äldre hemlösa och vanliga resenärer. Tunna väggar mellan rummen så lyhört.

Rummet och personalen var bra, men det visade sig att jag skulle dela rum med andra som bodde där och hade spritt ut sina saker överallt. Vi andra som sov över fick ingen plats att ställa våra väskor eller skor ut fick klämma in våra saker bakom dörren.

Väldigt hög ljudnivå i rummet pga fläkten men går inte att stänga av eftersom det är väldigt varmt i rummet.

Läget var bra, priset också. Skicket var trött, inte superfräscht.

The whole place smelled like old, wet carpet. The TV in the room did not work. There were no lamps or pictures in the room like the listing suggests. The sheets are for rent and stained. The check-in time was not accurate and the reception says open at 9 but it is not. The lock on my room didn't work unless I forcefullly lifted the door to make sure it latched. There is no vent in the room so it is stuffy. It is a very convenient location and the staff is helpful but I have paid less for better conditions.

My friend and I checked in here and immediately felt the vibes were off. We thought it was odd you had to rent sheets (in previous hostels we only had to rent towels). The man at the front desk led us to our room but he essentially put us in an occupied room and we walked in on another guest, which was awkward to say the least. We were promptly led to a different room but we had already seen enough. After looking at a few reviews, we decided to check out a day earlier than intended. The check out process was essentially non-existent. Clientele basically acted as spokespeople when the front desk man was nowhere to be seen. We returned later (with difficulty entering due to the fact that the front door code changes every day and the front desk man was not there in the morning) and were told we do not need to check out. What a strange experience, and do not recommend especially for female travellers.

Expedía shouldn’t be selling this horrible quality of product; this thing more than hostel it looks more like a shelter. The worst place ever. The guy at the office is so greedy; instead of acomódate you he rather make some money out of your situation. Horrible experience. Government should close this place; it has a very poor ventilation, dirty place; it’s not healthy at all, neither safe at all

Clean , friendly staff, walkable, close to train

Gamla våningssängar, men med sköna madrasser. Ett bemötande i toppklass. Med tanke på det låga priset, ABSOLUT prisvärd...

Uppgifterna om kostnader för lakan stämmer inte, svår att få tag i för att få incheckningsuppgifter. Tid för incheckning stämmer inte. Dålig luftkvalitet, lyhört och låg renlighet.

Bed bugs, dirty, poor service and hidden expenses. Never going back, and you should properly never go.

I was wary before arriving at the City Lodge Hostel, having read the reviews. However it was soon apparent on arrival that the staff were working really hard to maintain a clean environment. I experienced no problems regarding the availability of reception staff. The furniture was well worn but considering the price of the hostel it was really good value. The location is absolutely perfect for a short stay with easy access to all sites and amenities.
