Rent och fräscht ställe med trevliga ägare. Ett ganska stort rum med bra bekvämlighet. Köket var i lite minsta laget, lite trångt får en att stå där, två gick bara inte, om man t.ex. ville hjälpas åt med disken. Gratis WiFi, men inte det snabbaste, och med drygt 1 km till stadskärnan med butiker var nästan på gränsen att gå in, men parkeringsmöjligheterna i staden är begränsade och ofta avgiftsbelagda.

Staff were excellent and the room was clean, but the room could have been rented out as a sweat lodge. The property is tired and outdated. No A/C and our room was roasting with only a fan to cool it. We pulled the curtains shut when we left because the sun was beating in but when we returned the room was hot. We tried to get a through draft by opening the hall door and the front door but that did little other than make us feel as though we were in a fish bowl exposed to the world. The chairs were also really uncomfortable and the kitchen looks like it came from the 1950s. A serious renovation is needed.

The manager /owner was friendly , he upgraded our room as the other room had some odour. The wifi speed was good and parking is comfortable . It is closer to city area.

Nice reception from very helpful owner! Convenient location for visiting Nelson with large carpark. Our room was on the short side of the „L“ of buildings so we were along the road which had the occasional motorcycle or truck rumbling close by but units are along a field and I imagine much quieter. Good sized unit with fair sized kitchen and good hot shower.

The property was great, laundry available, cooking facilities in room. Large room, Big windows, friendly owner who was very helpful, kind and witty. Really comfy room and bed. Serviced daily. Plenty of parking. Very Close to township to walk and explore. Lovely big park next door for picnic. It was a really happy stay and quite even though its on a busy road. Book through the owner as he is lovely to talk to and it will ensure all money goes to his family. We loved it.

Lovely and very clean looks newly painted. Hosts Frazier could not be more helpful and obliging, cleaning ladies were fantastic. All credit to their profession and personality. No wonder the motel is nearly always fully booked. Would recommend.

We enjoyed our stay at the Admirals Motor Inn. We were warmly welcomed and everything was clean and tidy. Fraser was most helpful and this is a great place to stay after walking the Abel Tasman. t The walk to the city centre was an easy walk with Great food and friendly people. Very friendly and helpful manager, really clean and big room but unfortunately very dark. The room was in ground floor facing the street but a high fence (a lot of green plants) just a few meters from the veranda door made the room extremely dark. It is not like all the photos with rooms facing a green sports field. Maybe it was my own fault by booking a standard room but I couldn’t see that there were different room categories.

We had an amazing time The beds were super comfy and it’s very clean. We had the room overlooking the football field. The roof had a balcony attached which became my favourite spot. The best part was meeting Fraser. He gave us a super warm welcome and made sure our stay was perfect in every way. While cooking I accidentally dropped and broke the microwave turntable but he replaced it within ten minutes and did not charge us anything extra at all. We are very grateful to him. The motel is within walking distance to McDonald s and supermarkets and the sea front. Enjoyed our stay a lot. I'm very happy that we chose this motel. Will definitely come back.

Great little spacious motel unit very close to Nelson city. The bed was super comfortable and the shower was great! Lovely owners who were very helpful. My unit was right on the main road and I had a lovely leafy outlook from the windows and sliding door, but did have a lot of street noise and people walking past. However that was not a problem at all at night time and did not affect me sleeping. Was really happy with this motel!

Admirals Motor Inn is not a new building but it appears to have been recently refurbished. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and showed us to our room. There are no lifts, just stairs as befitting the older style. We had an upstairs 2 bedroom appartment which faced into the parking area. It was clean, comfortable, roomy and perfect for us, with a room upstairs our grandchildren. They were pretty stoked to have the upstairs bedroom. The bathroom was a good size and had a separate toilet. The only thing is the shower is fixed to the wall, not a slide shower and it is a bit low for taller people. The kitchen would be great if we were staying longer as it had a good sized kitchenette. Not just a jug on the bench. We would be very happy to rebook for our next visit to Nelson.

Great motel. Lots of excellent tips from the owner re everything. Relationship with all visitors the very best. Helpful. Nothing too much trouble. Great laundry and facilities. Easy walking to centre of Nelson but also very easy driving access to everywhere.

Thank you Fraser and Kelly, thoroughly enjoyed my stay. These two take immense pride in their facility and their guests' happiness. The Admirals is a lovely facility in close proximity and walking distance to the city centre, greenspace and quiet neighbourhoods. A quick bus ride gets you to beautiful Tahunanui Beach area. Easy to get to Abel Tasman National Park or stay in Nelson and experience a nice 30 min. hike to Centre of New Zealand. Great restaurants, cafes and retail shops. Beautiful area. Will definitely be back to Nelson.

We enjoyed our stay and the unit was spacious, spotlessly clean and well laid out with a well stocked kitchen - everything you could need to cook a meal, if you were that way inclined. It was handy for the CBD which was about a 15-minute walk and there was a really nice restaurant almost next door. The only drawback was that our unit (number 8) was close to the road so, if you are a light sleeper, I suggest you ask for a unit closer to the back. Apart from that, I couldn't fault it and we would stay again if we were in the area.

This was a great one night stay before connecting flight to Auckland and back home to US. Hosts are super friendly and helpful with suggestions. Clean, quiet and easy to get to airport.
