The food and drink was fantastic. The staff very helpful and their pub experience great! I wish we had more time allocated to experience this lovely part of the country. Also the cab service was fantastic and very flexible.

Room was large, big bathtub. One corner of the room had moisture damage, and mold, perhaps from a roof leak or condensation. Pub was cosy. Food tasty. There is nothing else to do in Sandhutton. A critter scampering, and chewing in the attic above our room kept us awake most of the night.

Great communication and advice before arrival. Great parking facilities. Friendly staff, excellent rooms. Super facilities, didn't eat in the evening, but the breakfast was superb. Easy to get taxi into Thirsk.

Beautiful BandB. I arrived at 930 as pub was closing which was a shame. Room was fresh and very well cared for but freezing. The thermostat on the radiator did not control the radiator and i could not get it working so was very cold. The radiator came on in the morning which tells me it was switched off the previous evening! On morning of check out which is 11am, i was woken by the housekeeper letting herself into my room. Not happy

I couldn’t fault The Kings Arms, from the friendly, helpful welcome to the spotless accommodation, I had a double room for myself with an immaculately clean en suite which was very spacious. The bed was very comfortable which was ideal as I was using it after some long walks all weekend. The free WiFi was a bonus and the tv in the room accessed lots of streaming channels for chilling in the evening. Breakfast was catered to your choices and was an ideal start to long days out walking. On my return in the evening I was able to eat in with a delicious and varied menu where the hosts went out of their way to provide this, even though they had a busy bank holiday weekend of regular diners. I would recommend this establishment to anyone wishing to stay in the Thirsk area as it is only a few miles out of the town in a quiet village. I would definitely use it again.

Wonderful place to stay and would stay again. Only negative things were that the room was very warm (no instructions on how to turn the heating down) and there was a really bright green (escape route?) light above the door which was on through the night and so made it difficult to fall asleep. Both issues easily remedied. My companion had no issues with her room so would thoroughly recommend!

The hotel was lovely, friendly, gorgeous breakfast and was most enjoyable stay. We arrived at the hotel early and managed to get into our room early which was a major benefit. There was only one issue which you cant blame the hotel for, we had some really noisy guests next door in another room which was rather scary due to the noise being created. If the noise had carried on then would have considered calling the police as we did not have a number to contact at the hotel in an emergency.

Our stay at the Kings Arms was a delightful few days for us. Thirsk is a very interesting place with easy access to the Yorkshire Dales and Moors. Our host was happy to share his local knowledge with us which was very helpful.The hotel food was excellent.

Room was large, big bathtub. One corner of the room had moisture damage, and mold, perhaps from a roof leak or condensation. Pub was cosy. Food tasty. There is nothing else to do in Sandhutton. A critter scampering, and chewing in the attic above our room kept us awake most of the night.

Really lovely hotel. Food is great, breakfast super. Rooms are comfortable, clean with a lovely powerful shower. Staff friendly and efficient.

The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Lovely shower. Only suggestions for improvement are some better pillows and adding vegetarian sausages as yoghurt to the breakfast menu. Although the place was very clean, someone had used the toilet in my room and not flushed. It was not a nice welcome to the room but putting that to one side I would book again. Stairs are steep though so might not suit everyone
