Lovely and relaxing! Beautiful beach with clear , calm water, options for snorkeling and paddle boarding, restaurant is top notch, great food, and ambiance. All the staff at Paamul Hotel and the restaurant are welcoming, friendly and helpful! Even the security around the property is friendly. Wonderful vacation and I miss it already!

The hotel is on a private beach which only the hotel and nearby houses can access. There is good security and a barrier controls the only road entrance. The beach is lovely with sand and coconut palms. Turtles nest there and you have to walk round the nesting holes. It is quite rocky and so only a small part is good for swimming, but the snorkelling is very good. The room was very clean and comfortable with a good AC unit. There is a fridge and small kitchenette but no plates, cutlery or cookware. Maybe you can get from reception if you ask. The room was cleaned and beds made every day. Breakfast was included from the lovely restaurant with great views of the beach. Good choice of food and very tasty. Lots of flies around that did spoil the atmosphere. There isn’t much around other than the hotel and there is no village, shops or nightlife within walking distance. You really need to have a car for this hotel.

Paamul hotel was just right. I travelled with 2 friends and we shared a beach front room with 2 double beds. Steps down to the sand. It’s a super chilled area, really friendly. The beach club restaurant does great food and cocktails. The room has a parking spot right outside, security to the area is 24/7. Not super upscale and I marked it down slightly as the safe didn’t work and we kept having to ask for extra cups and towels. If you want 5star luxury, go to one of the big brands. If you love chilling with a margarita and your toes in the sand, stay here Coffee and machine were provided. Coffee and water stocked up every day.

Fantastic staff and location. We were very impressed with everything. Thursday mornings host a market with local food and hand made clothes and jewelry. Popular dive shop on site but not much else for activities. Just a great spot to relax hang out at a free cabana or snorkel off the beach.

Awesome place and not overly crowded, but not because it is not awesome!! Bungalows open right onto the beach and high quality snorkling at the reef. Recent updates too. Super cool. Highly recommend.

We stayed there after getting married. It was perfect to recover from the party, laid back and quiet hotel. Rooms are nice, there was an algue bloom while we were there but we were able to enjoy the swimming pool. The staff is nice. The only thing was that the wedding place next door is a bit noisy at times but they usually finish before 1am

Bellissima esperienza, camera fronte mare dotata di terrazzino arredato con vista sul mare e lettino matrimoniale privato sulla spiaggia. Anche il parcheggio era perfetto, proprio davanti l'ingresso dell'abitazione. Ottimo anche il ristorante, sebbene i tempi di consegna dei piatti fossero un po' lunghi. Ho provato anche il Dive center: eccellente servizio per snorkeling ed immersioni con bombole ed ottimo staff, Marcelo, l'istruttore, è stato molto premuroso ed attento. Lo consiglio vivamente.

The beach was amazing with a great pool option close by The staff were excellent -everyone of them -a shout out to Martine, Genrie, Valentin and others that went above and beyond The cleaning service was excellent. Comfortable mattresses and pillows We will be back next year!!

Hotel Paamul es una excelente opción de hospedaje en Paamul, la atención y servicio es excelente, todos son muy atentos, el menú del restaurantes es variado y la comida deliciosa, rebasó mis expectativas. Tienen áreas de oportunidad como limpieza en la habitación, las cortinas dejan ver la falta de mantenimiento de las mismas, y un poco más de limpieza en zonas importantes del baño estaría mejor, en las fotos que vi cuando elegi este hotel, vi que tenían en las habitaciones una pequeña parrilla pero cuando llegamos no tenian las habitaciones que nos ticaron y llevabamos comida para preparar. La vista del lugar no tiene comparación, recomiendo visitar entre semana si es que prefieren una estancia más tranquila ya que en fin de semana aumenta la afluencia en el restaurante y zonas de alberca y playa, llegar temprano para alcanzar un lugar agradable en la zona de playa que cuenta con palapas y camastros, así como camas de descanso.

Pasamos unos días muy agradables con nuestras hijas pequeñas, todo era muy limpio, la playa es muy bonita y tranquila, el restaurante muy bueno y las personas que atienden son muy atentas. La ubicación también estuvo adecuada para visitar los parques y playas más conocidas. Volveremos.

I want to give Paamul a score of one because it’s such a beautiful, small & quiet place and I don’t want everyone finding it, however, it’s absolutely amazing. Staff is fantastic (especially Martín!! Francisco and Manuel are great also!). The restaurant has great food, the place is kept clean in all areas (room, restaurant, beach). Loved the palapas, drinks, and everyone is so friendly. The only caveat was the beds are very hard. Next time we’ll bring a mattress pad. This is going to be our “go to” place for all our future trips to the area.

The view from room was “million-dollar”. The room was clean; housekeepers were good. Restaurant food was good but a little pricey. They didn’t always tell us the daily specials so we missed out on a few. I suggest asking if they don’t want to share on menu. Plus there are good desserts which aren’t even mentioned or noted on menu. My biggest complaint which won’t prevent me from visiting again is the lack of communication from front staff. We were never informed of special events (market Thursday, live music nights when a restaurant reservation is advised, good walking areas etc). English seemed challenging for front staff, not for restaurant staff. Security was excellent.

Truly friendly and helpful staff throughout the resort who worked hard to understand my Spanglish. They fought bravely to fight an influx of seaweed that was heavier than typical. No hot shower but warm enough. Room was perfect for our girls trip. Expertly cleaned daily.

Beautiful location. Comfortable room, as advertised in pictures. Wonderful community feel. Welcoming and helpful staff. Great snorkeling right off the beach. Only downside was that there was a club nearby that was blasting music at night and we could really feel the bass. Made it hard to fall sleep.

We had a large, comfortable room with a porch from which you stepped literally onto the beach. We enjoyed the small size of the hotel, the well run restaurant where we had most of our meals, and the wonderful staff. We were not interested in excursions around the area, and loved the small beach where we could swim and paddle board. There is a delightful trail leading to other beaches that we walked several times. The hotel sits in the centre of a very small community of expats from around the world. These folks were friendly and welcoming.

We had a large, comfortable room with a porch from which you stepped literally onto the beach. We enjoyed the small size of the hotel, the well run restaurant where we had most of our meals, and the wonderful staff. We were not interested in excursions around the area, and loved the small beach where we could swim and paddle board. There is a delightful trail leading to other beaches that we walked several times. The hotel sits in the centre of a very small community of expats from around the world. These folks were friendly and welcoming.

The hotel is located right on the ocean which is very nice. Our internet was out for a day and a half before they fixed it. I guess it was a breaker. The food at the restaurant was good and they had vegan options. It's a small hotel with approximately 12 rooms I think. There are refrigerators, microwave and coffee makers in the rooms. It is located pretty close to Tulum.

Our stay at Paamul Hotel was fantastic! The hotel is a little older and very simple but perfect for a nice quiet and laid back vacation. The community was really welcoming and so were other guest. Everything was very clean. The only things that I could say that need some attention would be the microwave in room 7 doesn’t work properly, you have to plug it in for it to turn on since none of the buttons work and to stop it you have to unplug it. The second suggestion would be to add tub mats because the tub can be very slippery, we ended up just putting the floor mat in the tub to prevent us from slipping. Lastly, the mattress is pretty firm and a topper would help greatly. Those were just minor things that didn’t change how we felt about the hotel.

Our stay at Paamul Hotel was fantastic! The hotel is a little older and very simple but perfect for a nice quiet and laid back vacation. The community was really welcoming and so were other guest. Paamul has always been a favorite. We visited in 2023. However, our room AC was not working so this time and we struggled to sleep on our first night. A suggestion tip, if you have any problems with the room you need to get it sorted before 5pm otherwise the front desk closes and you will need to wait until the next day at 9am to get it sorted. We were able to get another room the next day on the upper floor after numerous visits to the front desk during the course of the day. There was no discount offered for the inconvenience. The beach was excellent to swim, the sargassum was a problem for most hotels but not necessarily a problem for paamul. They have one of the best beaches to swim. The check in after 5 was a bit of a disappointment because we could not pay for the room or get access to the Wi-Fi until the following day. They should have 24/7 front desk service. But otherwise, the stay was beautiful, satisfactory and exceeded our expectations. We hope to stay with them again soon. Thank you Paamul.

The view from room was “million-dollar”. The room was clean; housekeepers were good. Restaurant food was good but a little pricey. They didn’t always tell us the daily specials so we missed out on a few. I suggest asking if they don’t want to share on menu. Plus there are good desserts which aren’t even mentioned or noted on menu. My biggest complaint which won’t prevent me from visiting again is the lack of communication from front staff. We were never informed of special events (market Thursday, live music nights when a restaurant reservation is advised, good walking areas etc). English seemed challenging for front staff, not for restaurant staff. Security was excellent.

Truly friendly and helpful staff throughout the resort who worked hard to understand my Spanglish. They fought bravely to fight an influx of seaweed that was heavier than typical. No hot shower but warm enough. Room was perfect for our girls trip. Expertly cleaned daily.

We spent a week exploring the Yucatan peninsula and this was our very favorite hotel! The rooms open right onto the beach and ocean, with lovely porches. Breakfasts, appetizers, and dinners were great at the restaurant. So relaxing and perfect.

This property is right on the beach. Breakfast was really good. Beach is little rocky but beautiful. Bring water shoes. Close by to the activities we had planned, especially close to Cenote Azul. So worked out well location wise.

The hotel is on a private beach which only the hotel and nearby houses can access. There is good security and a barrier controls the only road entrance. The beach is lovely with sand and coconut palms. Turtles nest there and you have to walk round the nesting holes. It is quite rocky and so only a small part is good for swimming, but the snorkelling is very good. The room was very clean and comfortable with a good AC unit. There is a fridge and small kitchenette but no plates, cutlery or cookware. Maybe you can get from reception if you ask. The room was cleaned and beds made every day. Breakfast was included from the lovely restaurant with great views of the beach. Good choice of food and very tasty. Lots of flies around that did spoil the atmosphere. There isn’t much around other than the hotel and there is no village, shops or nightlife within walking distance. You really need to have a car for this hotel.

This place is gorgeous - the staff is so friendly and kind. Jade in the Dive Shop is wonderful and made our stay so much more special for our kids. There's a great running trail, the restaurant is fabulous - location is perfect for visiting cenotes and surrounding historical ruins. Snorkeling from the beach is awesome. We moved on to a different resort after Paamul for the all inclusive experience, but the beaches aren't as nice for snorkeling - and the free breakfast at Paamul is really good. Great for the price if you don't need all inclusive.

Location, location, location. Only one restaurant on site but you don’t NEED any other restaurant in my humble opinion. Nothing moves quickly here but the restaurants wait staff, so sit back, relax and enjoy your experience.

The hotel is located right on the ocean which is very nice. Our internet was out for a day and a half before they fixed it. I guess it was a breaker. The food at the restaurant was good and they had vegan options. It's a small hotel with approximately 12 rooms I think. There are refrigerators, microwave and coffee makers in the rooms. It is located pretty close to Tulum.

Breach front rooms are beautiful, the view is pretty spectacular, and the snorkeling right out front was also pretty great. Lovely walking/running trail to the north was a lovely bonus too. Restaurant closes at 8pm which was a little early for us but but the food was good.

My wife and I with our 3 years old stayed here for 5 nights. We had planned to stay here for 3 nights but this place was so peaceful that we extended our stay and skipped our second destination. This is a low key, quiet, and relaxing place with amazing views. The food quality is great and prices are reasonable comparing to other places we have been around here. If you looking for a place to relax, recharge, and avoid the crowds this is it. P.S. the picture is the view from our room.

Es un lugar perfecto para descansar y disfrutar de una playa tranquila, hay muchas piedras frente a la propiedad pero caminando llegas a una zona mas libre. Los alimentos bien, a secas, un poco tardado en que llegaran a tu mesa pero en general bien. La atención del personal excelente. La propiedad cumple con lo que promete en general sin embargo nuestra reservación decía que las camas eran queen y nos dieron una habitación con camas matrimoniales pero estábamos tan cansados que bueno, solo queríamos descansar.

Es un lugar perfecto para descansar y disfrutar de una playa tranquila, hay muchas piedras frente a la propiedad pero caminando llegas a una zona mas libre. Los alimentos bien, a secas, un poco tardado en que llegaran a tu mesa pero en general bien. La atención del personal excelente. The room was spacious and located right by the beach. The food was excellent, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. The hotel team makes a great effort every day to remove the blue-green algae from the beach. Swimming is possible, although the water remained slightly brownish throughout our stay due to the algae. Guests can also use kayaks and stand-up paddleboards free of charge. The resort is quite remote, with no shops or restaurants within walking distance. Without a rental car, you may feel rather isolated.

The hotel team makes a great effort every day to remove the blue-green algae from the beach. Swimming is possible, although the water remained slightly brownish throughout our stay due to the algae. Guests can also use kayaks and stand-up paddleboards free of charge. The resort is quite remote, with no shops or restaurants within walking distance. Without a rental car, you may feel rather isolated.

The property is right on the beach! We were unable to get in the water and use a lot of the amenities, like paddle boards, due to the sargassum (which is on every beach in the Riviera Maya). The restaurant staff were very attentive and the breakfast was good. They made us a to go meal on our last day. There is no other choice for meals in the area, so you need a car if you want to eat elsewhere. Taxis were $400-450 Mex pesos for a one way ride to the nearest village. You get 1 bottle of water per person per day, not enough for the heat and the he sweating. Everyone was very helpful, especially Glenda at the gate. She lent us an umbrella when we were walking to the tiny store at the end of the road to buy water. She was very friendly and helpful in whatever way she could.

Hubby and I loved the view of the sunset right outside over looking the ocean which was literally at our back door. This place is super relaxing and the staff is always very friendly, welcoming and helpful. We didn’t spend much time at the pool but it appeared pretty clean. It was the best option because the ocean was full of sargasso. There is a restaurant on the grounds and the food is always scrumptious. On our last day hubby and I had gotten to the restaurant to late for breakfast but after asking Pedro, he asked the kitchen and they made an exception for us and for that, we were very grateful.

Es una experiencia diferente, los cuartos muy amplios y limpios. Me ayudaron a dejar un detalle oara mi esposo de nuestro aniversario. No hay recepción pero están los de seguridad. El restaurante genial y delicioso. Es algo muy rústico como regresar en el tiempo y poca gente lo cual es genial.
