The Millcroft Hotel

It’s an interesting and quirky place, it’s dated in decor etc so don’t get too excited if you are given a suite. Staff were trying their best and seemed new to the industry and hopefully in time they will get the service and service times to a better standard. Unfortunately the morning shower was a no go as there was no hot water, mustn’t of got up early enough!!!! Normally I would bring this up at the time but I did feel for the staff who seemed rushed off their feet at a time

Staff were amazing - great evening meal and breakfast. The suite was huge with fabulous views over the bay. The new manager is brilliant, really friendly, and a great source of local info. Used to be a holiday home for the Hartley jam family! Will be going back for a few nights as it is a really good base for exploring.

The staff were brilliant although he kept telling us and everyone else he was the only one in running the hotel and the bar. Our room was freezing cold and it felt like the heating had not been on in days, The main external wall was really wet and damp, this would have not been an issue had the heating been used. There were no instructions on how to heat up the room so we used google. Once the room heated up it was fine and no issue, also the following morning the damp had then dried up.

The breakfast was cooked to order and was very nice.
