Host was friendly, and very talkative at breakast in the morning. Facilities were clean, and the bed I slept in was extremely comfortable. The only downside was that you could hear everything from the other rooms, including conversations, television, and other noises.

We stayed for the one night in the family room. It was just the two of us, but the room caters for 5 with an upper floor section that would be great for kids. Tiggy and Pete are lovely hosts, making us feel very welcome. It’s a cosy place to stay and the teas and biscuit selection was perfect. Lots of useful touches included such as games for children, hairdryer and straighteners. Thank you for making us welcome.

Nice greeting from owner, room was small as was ensuite. Could hear TV from room next door. Curtains were okay in winter (I went in October) but not sure they would keep morning light out in summer. Headboard on bed kept moving against wall so had to use clothes to stop it. Pillows were rock hard. Cold breakfast included, lots of choice, I believe cooked brekfast was extra payment. Free parking was limited, street parking had a 1 hour restriction in morning and afternoon.

We had to attend a family wedding nearby and found this place which appeared to have everything we needed. So booked it straightway. The wedding was on a Sunday afternoon so we asked if we could leave our luggage in our room. The room was on the 1st floor (only upper floor). We were shown a very clean room and it had everything. Kettle and tea/coffee making stuff. It had an en-suite shower, toliet and wash basin. All nice & clean with appropriate towels. The owners were very inviting and hospitable making us very welcome. We would definitely go there again if the situation arises.

Not so good. The accommodation was small and cramped for 4 people. Only 1 arm chair and 1 desk chair, no closet with no where to put the luggage. Up a flight of stairs, too. One had to walk thru the private home space of the hosts to reach the breakfast room. Continental breakfast or English breakfast for an additional fee. Tho the bedding was clean the area looked like it needed a good vacuum. The private living space carpeting was covered in dog hair! The bathroom was small and old. Really needed attention. For example rusting soap dishes! No shampoo etc was provided. The hosts were aggressive and rude when we arrived. The garden was full of junk and neglected. One king bed, and two mattresses on the floor in the loft, up the broken stairs which were somewhat dangerous. Coffee and biscuits were available in the room.

The room was very clean and the house is silent. The TV turned on by itself, which is a bit unusual. I enjoyed my time there, and I will definitely stay again if I am in the area—very good host and very attentive to our needs.

Pleàsant guest house in a quiet road.Lovely hosts who provided an excellent cooked breakfast at an additional cost.Room clean and tidy but bathroom was minute.Basin only really suitable for a cloakroom for hand washing.Silicone in shower needed replacing as was going brown.Howevee all in all a pleasant stay

I booked this place based on the picture of the room on the advert, the singe room isnt anything like the one in the picture very basic to be honest, i think the host should put a [picture of the single room on too and offer it at a cheaper price

We had an absolutely lovely stay at Orchard House. Tiggy and Pete were very welcoming and very tolerant of the five of us in our 20s getting ready for a wedding reception! We stayed in the family room which was lovely and light with plenty of skylights. The little touches like biscuits and chocolates really made us feel welcome. The beds were super comfortable and we slept very well! It was great to have the mezzanine as well to extend the space. Nice quiet street as well and easy to get to the station or shops!

Our room was small. Basic. Headboards loose kept banging when moved. Squeaky bed. Screws sticking up in threshold plate between bedroom floor and en suite. Dangerous. The en suite was so small couldnt use toilet without banging arm on door frame and sink. A larger person wouldnt have fitted in. Knobs on doors into toilet are too large. Covered them at night so we didnt bang ourselves. Overall not happy with room. Bed uncomfortable too.

The owners were very friendly. The family room was modern and unique, very nice. Nice touch with biscuits and a chocolate with the teas/coffees. Unfortunately there was a downside, the bed wasn't comfortable and we head alarms going off early in the morning so a bad night sleep. Fortunately we were only there for the 1 night.

Pete and Tiggy were the perfect hosts. Even helped us out when we had trouble finding transport to the event we were attending in the area. The cooked breakfast was superb Would love to stay with them again

Tiggy and Pete were very welcoming hosts. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and there was a good selection for breakfast. It really conveniently located for the station and the town. I had a lovely stay.

One king bed, and two mattresses on the floor in the loft, up the broken stairs which were somewhat dangerous. Coffee and biscuits were available in the room.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at Orchard House. Tiggy and Pete were very welcoming and very tolerant of the five of us in our 20s getting ready for a wedding reception! We stayed in the family room which was lovely and light with plenty of skylights. The little touches like biscuits and chocolates really made us feel welcome. The beds were super comfortable and we slept very well! It was great to have the mezzanine as well to extend the space. Nice quiet street as well and easy to get to the station or shops!

Tiggy and Pete were very welcoming hosts. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and there was a good selection for breakfast. It really conveniently located for the station and the town. I had a lovely stay.

The hosts were welcoming and friendly. My room clean and comfortable. If you wanted to walk it was approx 5-10 mins from the town center so accessiblity to shops, pubs , restaurants etc was reasonable. Many thanks

Nice greeting from owner, room was small as was ensuite. Could hear TV from room next door. Curtains were okay in winter (I went in October) but not sure they would keep morning light out in summer. Headboard on bed kept moving against wall so had to use clothes to stop it. Pillows were rock hard. Cold breakfast included, lots of choice, I believe cooked brekfast was extra payment. Free parking was limited, street parking had a 1 hour restriction in morning and afternoon.

Pleàsant guest house in a quiet road.Lovely hosts who provided an excellent cooked breakfast at an additional cost.Room clean and tidy but bathroom was minute.Basin only really suitable for a cloakroom for hand washing.Silicone in shower needed replacing as was going brown.Howevee all in all a pleasant stay

We had a comfortable stay at Orchard House, and the owners were very friendly and welcoming. The location was good, and not too far to walk to restaurants and shops. However the ensuite was rather small, and did feel somewhat restrictive. Overall good value for money.

Owners were very friendly and welcoming. Room was bright and clean. Portable fan was provided due to hot weather along with bottles of drinking water. Large choice of cereals, fruit and baked goods at breakfast. Good location near the train station and 15 minute walk into Royston town centre

We stayed at Orchard House before and after a wedding at South Farm. Tiggy and Pete were very accommodating, friendly and had a lovely place for me and some friends to stay. We stayed in the family room which was spacious and the bed was super comfy. There was a good continental spread as well as the option of a full English if you wanted it (which was delicious too!). It was also walking distance into Royston, which was a lovely place with some nice pubs and restaurants. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely room, clean and a homey feel to it. The bed is a superking size and super comfy!! Hosts were very friendly and helpful. We only had a light breakfast, which included lots of choices (cereal, toast, yogurt, fruit etc). We would definitely recommend Orchard house!
