Excellent service from check in to check out. Room was fantastic and very comfortable. We stayed for 2 nights and also took advantage of the restaurant. The chef deserves top marks. Food was presented very well and the taste!, every mouthful was an adventure. Highly recommend and staff looked after us very well. If you can get parked outside the hotel, let them know and a charge is applied allowing the car to stay rather than the 4 hour limit on the machines. The free car park nearby, unless you are there very early or very late, not a chance of a space. We arrived Sunday after 5pm so managed to use car park. Left car park to have a day l exploring and returned to no spaces. Managed to get one near hotel and used the hotel, £10 for 24hours, i think is worth it to be near. Blenheim is a few minutes walk and Bicester shopping village is a 20min drive.

Friendly staff, nice upgrade, good breakfast. Good value for money. Bathroom a bit cold. Like some other hotels in Woodstock lack of parking is a bit of a pain but manageable. Great location for Blenheim Palace.

We stayed here the night before our visit to Blenheim Palace. It is a cute, historic inn. The rooms are tiny, but we expected that. The bed was pretty comfortable. Our biggest complaint was the temp in the room was very warm even though it was chilly outside - the window only opened about one inch, so we couldn't get any air in the room. However, they did provide a fan, so that helped some. We didn't try the restaurant (we got there too late for dinner on Sunday night and ate breakfast elsewhere), so I can't provide any insight on that. Parking was not easy, but that was partly because there was a three-day street fair happening in Woodstock, so the roads into town were all closed down and parking was limited to areas outside of the main part of town. We were able to walk to Blenheim the next day and it was a gorgeous walk - we went in the back entrance from the town of Woodstock and got to see that view, then we left from the main entrance and saw that view too. I recommend this hotel if you're looking for a reasonably-priced room near Blenheim.

The floor of the breakfast room was littered with food and not cleaned over the period we were resident at the hotel. The fire door at the top of the stairs was held open by a fire extinguisher (!) Our room had not been made up where returned on the Saturday afternoon. The staff seemed to perceive our request to rectify this oversight as an inconvenience. Breakfast buffet options were limited.

Hotel entrance & reception could do with looking smarter, but sraircase & landings were better. The rooms were well equipped & clean, the beds comfortable, good supplies of tea, coffee, real milk in pods, biscuits ets. The shower room was small but well equipped and clean. All the staff, reception, waitress, cleaner were friendly polite and happy to help. Location in the centre of Woodstock so some traffic passing through at night. Blenheim Palace very close by. My son & I had a positive experience at the Kings Arms. It was very good value for money.

This hotel is in a perfect location for visiting Blenheim Palace but the hotel itself is far from perfect. Everything is grubby. The stair carpet needs a deep clean, the whole time we were there was soil from a nearby plant spilt over the carpet and not hoovered / cleaned up. The Roman blind in the bedroom was broken so couldn't be opened. The en-suite is very dirty. Water marks over everything showing how little it had been wiped / cleaned. The shower was covered in mould. It's such a shame as the hotel has so much going for it - location and decor mainly but also most staff members seemed pretty good. Food was also very disappointing- we had dinner and breakfast and both were of very poor quality meat / ingredients. We were very limited with where we could eat and stay due to an event at Blenheim. I really hope things improve at this hotel as it could be great.

Friendly welcoming staff on arrival. Room was spotlessly clean. There were lots of added touches kettle and coffee machine in the room, shampoo, shower gel and moisturiser in the bathroom, TV and free WiFi. Very comfortable bed and great nights sleep. Fantastic breakfast in the morning - great continental selection and really enjoyed cooked food.

Lovely old inn and rooms of a high standard. Only let down for us was it was a hot night and the room was sweltering even with the fan on. Windows only open a fraction and with the combination of road noise, loud fan and heat meant little sleep was achieved. Shame really as would generally rate as good value for money.

Good hotel, great breakfast, no Aircon just a small fan on the hottest day of the year, road noise keeps you awake from about 4am (windows open due to heat) Nice staff but if you have a long drive the next day be aware as sleep could be limited.Stairs are a challenge to.

We stayed on a warm day the room was absolutely boiling there was a fan but of little use circulating hot air ,the windows only open a small amount .The extractor fan in the bathroom didn’t work .As it was so hot we left windows open at night and it was probably the noisiest hotel room I’ve ever stayed in ,the road noise was loud and some sort of pump or other was cutting in and out all night !I basically had no sleep at all !.The Breakfast in the morning was good .

An exceptional stay from start to finish. The whole team were so welcoming and friendly. I got a free upgrade on a Sunday night, so my room was lovely - really spacious, beauitfully decorated, comfy bed, great shower and every amenity you could need - coffee machine, kettle, DAB radio, good TV, iron and hairdryer and beautiful Bramley (cruelty free) toiletries, and some Cotswolds shortbread for a sweet snack! The fan in room was welcome as it's an older, character building with no air-con. There's a bit of noise from outside, but nothing that stopped me getting a good night's sleep and the secondary glazing helped. I had dinner and breakfast downstairs, a fantastic beef roast, and a veggie cooked breakfast with fresh fruit and delicious pastries. Great selection of drinks as you'd expect from a pub hotel, including a good selection of no-alcohol options. A two minute walk to Blenheim Palace as well, which was my main reason for staying. I would absolutely stay again for a relaxing and well-fed break!

Excellent service from check in to check out. Room was fantastic and very comfortable. We stayed for 2 nights and also took advantage of the restaurant. The chef deserves top marks. Food was presented very well and the taste!, every mouthful was an adventure. Highly recommend and staff looked after us very well. If you can get parked outside the hotel, let them know and a charge is applied allowing the car to stay rather than the 4 hour limit on the machines. The free car park nearby, unless you are there very early or very late, not a chance of a space. We arrived Sunday after 5pm so managed to use car park. Left car park to have a day l exploring and returned to no spaces. Managed to get one near hotel and used the hotel, £10 for 24hours, i think is worth it to be near. Blenheim is a few minutes walk and Bicester shopping village is a 20min drive.

Especially as it was Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! No one greeted us, no one informed us of Breakfast start and ending times for Christmas Day. Asked if there was kindly a room with a bath? No response. Christmas morning 10.15. Informed breakfast has finished should have read it in your room! Far from a Christian kind start to Christmas Day. No extra sweet bits no characters no holly no fresh decorations. Tired and dusty! Felt ripped off and far from the first Christmas the merry happy morning we had wished and hoped for, a huge disappointment

Hotel entrance & reception could do with looking smarter, but sraircase & landings were better. The rooms were well equipped & clean, the beds comfortable, good supplies of tea, coffee, real milk in pods, biscuits ets. The shower room was small but well equipped and clean. All the staff, reception, waitress, cleaner were friendly polite and happy to help. Location in the centre of Woodstock so some traffic passing through at night. Blenheim Palace very close by. My son & I had a positive experience at the Kings Arms. It was very good value for money.

Woodstock is a great town. Kings arms amazing location. It wasn’t a bad stay , but lacked in quite a few areas. Clean , good shower. Noisy room despite double glazing, lots of traffic noise. Creaky bed. Seemed to be very few staff?! , chef created a nice breakfast but must have stayed on side waiting to be brought out , all cold, poached eggs went hard, 15 mins wait for coffee?

We stayed here the night before our visit to Blenheim Palace. It is a cute, historic inn. The rooms are tiny, but we expected that. The bed was pretty comfortable. Our biggest complaint was the temp in the room was very warm even though it was chilly outside - the window only opened about one inch, so we couldn't get any air in the room. However, they did provide a fan, so that helped some. We didn't try the restaurant (we got there too late for dinner on Sunday night and ate breakfast elsewhere), so I can't provide any insight on that. Parking was not easy, but that was partly because there was a three-day street fair happening in Woodstock, so the roads into town were all closed down and parking was limited to areas outside of the main part of town. We were able to walk to Blenheim the next day and it was a gorgeous walk - we went in the back entrance from the town of Woodstock and got to see that view, then we left from the main entrance and saw that view too. I recommend this hotel if you're looking for a reasonably-priced room near Blenheim.

The breakfast was utterly appalling. The bacon was cheap streaky that was almost raw, the fried eggs were welded on top of each other one with a very runny yoke and the one literally on top of it was just a flat hard yellow mess. To make matters worse the eggs had long hairs on them. I managed to find some staff and showed them, another plate came out with exactly the same state the first ones were in, one not cooked properly and the other still a flat hard yellow splat on the plate, and strangely enough it was minus the sausage!! The mushroom was inedible hard and leathery. The young chap serving me poured me literally half a cup of coffee out of a grubby vacuum jug, had to ask for more and the toast came on top of the excuse for a breakfast, had to ask for a side plate, I was the only one in the grubby dining room at 9.30, breakfast finished at 10.00. I used to love staying here when it was looked after properly, what on earth have you done to this lovely old establishment Fullers, shame on you.

Nice hotel, friendly staff and a freat place to base yourself for Blenheim palace and the surrounding area. Breakfast was very good as was our evening meal in the restaurant. Would recommend and definitely stay again if we are in the area.

This hotel is in a perfect location for visiting Blenheim Palace but the hotel itself is far from perfect. Everything is grubby. The stair carpet needs a deep clean, the whole time we were there was soil from a nearby plant spilt over the carpet and not hoovered / cleaned up. The Roman blind in the bedroom was broken so couldn't be opened. The en-suite is very dirty. Water marks over everything showing how little it had been wiped / cleaned. The shower was covered in mould. It's such a shame as the hotel has so much going for it - location and decor mainly but also most staff members seemed pretty good. Food was also very disappointing- we had dinner and breakfast and both were of very poor quality meat / ingredients. We were very limited with where we could eat and stay due to an event at Blenheim. I really hope things improve at this hotel as it could be great.

Friendly welcoming staff on arrival. Room was spotlessly clean. There were lots of added touches kettle and coffee machine in the room, shampoo, shower gel and moisturiser in the bathroom, TV and free WiFi. Very comfortable bed and great nights sleep. Fantastic breakfast in the morning - great continental selection and really enjoyed cooked food.

Yay - Nespresso machine! Handy location, loved the decor. Very characterful building, excellent English breakfast. Perfect for overnighting for Blenheim palace, and please don't miss the Museum of Oxford life just up the street - it's a little gem.

Our room was on the top floor, the temp outside was around 25C, temp in the room was 30-35C there were 2 fans in the room but they didn’t make any difference, it was difficult to sleep to put it mildly. (We have had a spell of exceptionally hot weather in the UK) On a positive, Sunday lunch was very good with great service, breakfast was also ok.
