Overlook Lodge and Stone Cottages at Bear Mountain

Breakfast is offered at the Inn, not the Lodge. It was fine. Did not use the spa.

The hotel is a bit dated to some but that’s what keeps the city rif raff away. Hikers and outdoor enthusiasts stay here so be prepared to use the grounds and stay outside most of the time. When you finally do crash inside you will find very comfortable beds, amazing views and complimentary water. Internet was good. Main Inn restaurant food was delicious. Catering food fantastic. Shared areas with fireplaces were perfect. No elevator but only 2 floors.

The facility is keep in excellent condition. Built in 1915 the building and grounds are a jewel. Dinner in the historic main dining room was outstanding. The only negative was the breakfast in the downstairs cafe. Poor quality and service. I suggest you eat breakfast elsewhere.

Bathroom toilet was not cleaned nor flushed. Someone had used it, not flushed. My 5 year old daughter went in as soon as we walked in the room and told us about it. I was offered to change rooms which meant I would have had to drive another mile back to the main lobby to get new card. I decided to clean the toilet and flush it myself. VERY bad, yet a simple thing that should not occur.
