The Wayne Inn had kind and very helpful staff. However, I had informed Expedia that I needed a ground floor due to my disability and I notified the hotel of that need when I made reservations. The office staff informed me that EXPEDIA made my reservation for an upper floor. No elevator on site. There was 1 open room on the ground floor the staff were able to give me. Bad on Expedia!

the property was on a hill and not paved. Potholes everywhere. The inside of the hotel room, the flooring was not installed properly so there were bumps in the flooring. The door was wooden and not very secure. The bathroom could have been a little more updated. The cold water handle in the shower, was turned the wrong way. I could be a really nice place if they were to make up dates.

Building is deliapidated, needs major updates, rooms need updating, shower was dirty, vanity was broken, floor not cleaned in area under or behind furniture. Lively at night, hard to sleep well when other guests blare music and management does nothing about it. Parking was limited and parking lot had very large pot holes throughtout. Mini fridge in room was covered in black mold speckles. Sheets and towels were stainded. Build up around the bathroom sink from not cleaning and build up on edge of sink vanity. Lights did not work properly. Toilet did not flush properly. Everytime we flushed, we had to take the back off and push the plunger down to get it fill back up with water.

Property parking and driveway was not maintained. Holes, loose gravel. Rooms are very basic and need a lot of updates. Beds were horrible. Staff was amazing! Tammy was very nice and helpful.

Honesdale, Pennsylvania was hosting their Roots & Rhythm Music & Arts Festival, so we decided to attend. We packed up my wife’s wheelchair, walker, pills, and a few necessities, and hit the road. If you’re not from a small town, you may fail to see the simple elegance of this gem of a town and the sincere kindness of its residents. We spent two nights at the Wayne Inn. The Inn, from a distance, looks like a postcard. A welcoming abode, neatly nestled into the hillside. The closer you get, the more obvious it becomes, time has been less than kind to this iconic place. She is weathered, and wrinkled, conservative with her makeup, but appropriately attired to do the work of keeping you fed, warm, and safe. The Wayne Inn does not have an elevator. If you have mobility issues you should ask for a room on the first floor when making your reservation. I am certain that the stewards of the Inn will do what they can to accommodate you. We found our room to be comfortable and clean. Not perfect, but acceptable in almost every way. The only thing that made us sad was the price we were charged for our stay. At $169.50 per night, $369.52 for a two night stay, it is not very likely that we will stay here again. There is no doubt in my mind that we will return to Honesdale one day. There is too much love in and around this gem of a town, and too much to see before our eyes grow dim. We don’t know where we’ll stay, but it won’t be at the Wayne Inn, unless we strike it rich at Bingo.

There were bugs under the comforter when I pulled it down to get int o bed.....disgusting....NEVER AGAIN. I mentioned it at check out and was told that the manager was not available and would not be available for a few days. Totally unacceptable

We killed 3 bugs and there were crumbs and dirt on top of the microwave and fridge. The floor tile was uneven and coming apart. The other tile in the bathroom area was stained and not clean.

We left after 5 minutes of seeing the room. The rom smelled like cigarettes. bugs under the pillows (not bed bugs but large bugs) and huge stains on the bed. We left immediately.

Needed a place for an overnight stay. Convenient to location. Quaint little town. Overall, staff super friendly. Room provided what we needed.. somewhere to sleep with bathroom amenities. Double bed mattress was terrible and the room was small but very clean. Would stay again.

Walking through the door, the first thing I see is the front panel of the sink hanging off. Then I look around to see chipped paint, dirty fingerprint smudges and drip stains on the walls. Every bathroom fixture had a ton of caulk mixed with rust and corrosion. When we turned out the light to go to sleep, we heard what I can only assume was mice scurrying across the drop ceiling panels above us. I was prepared to sleep in the car but my husband convinced me to stay as it was only one night and we were traveling all day and needed to stretch out in a bed.

Check in was easy. My room had a few issues with it. It sounded like the AC had a paper or something flying around in the fan, which made it incredibly hard to sleep. I would turn on the AC to get the room cold enough and then turn it off so I could sleep. Then I would wake up hot and start the process again. In the bathroom and by the sink outside of the bathroom, I could hear every word my neighbors were saying. And by the bed, I could hear another set of neighbors snoring. The room needs a lot of renovation love as well. Otherwise, the microwave and fridge came in handy during my 1 night stay. And it was super easy to walk to Main Street.

Room was small, no coffee in the morning’s. Definitely not the same as the pictures on line.

The drop sealing needs replacement on the room i had. The chainlink lock needs to be replaced. The draws are old and missing the handle to pull draw open. need to update the furniture for the prices we now are paying in these new times. I almost tripped on the rug in the room. Needs to be looked at. The staff are wonderful, no complaints.

The room was clean and comfy, but the mattresses were soft, one of the ceiling tiles in the bathroom was falling down, and the reading lights on the beds didn’t work. All in all a pleasant stay, but it’s definitely a budget hotel.

The walls were thin - thin enough that I could hear some of the neighbor's conversation, as well as the TV she was playing loudly long after I went to bed.

It cost $117 a night and we got a very small room with a double bed and a clothes rack that was hanging off the wall and needed repaired. It was an eyesore. It was not worth the money.

This is a bare bones 50's motel (or earlier,) that is okay if you are just looking for a place to bed down for a night or two. I had a single room which did not even have a closet or a place to hang up any of my clothes. What was there was clean, but it was cramped quarters. Office staff was friendly.

The staff was great. They were very friendly and quite helpful. The room had a slope on the floor which was pretty exciting the first night when I woke up and was stumbling to the bathroom, lol. After that we got used to it. We were worried that it might be noisy but it was very quiet and the room was dark at night (sometimes we can’t sleep because of street lights etc). The driveway scared me because it felt too narrow but it was actually just fine. I’m not sure that I would stay there alone but my husband was with me. The room was small but functional and we would stay again.

We arrived at midnight and there was no one at the desk so we found another hotel. Not a good look for travelers.

I booked this property when I was in a crunch because my VRBO fell thru. When I called to ask about the late check in clerk was rude and condescending. Then literally 10 minutes later my VRBO owner was able to contact me and provide the information needed. ( We thought we were scanned,turns out poor planning on her part). We had an hour drive after a concert to do this hotel and really didn't want to so late at night if didn't have to. So asked Expedia to act on my behalf to ask for a refund even though it was a non-refundable price. We were hoping based on circumstances they would be kind....NOPE policy is policy. oh well Wayne's world got my money.

This property is clean and affordable. The lady at the front counter is very nice! The town is full of the nicest people around. Great place to getaway for the weekend.

For starters, some of the photos used of "Wayne Inn" are of "Hotel Wayne" several blocks away. Wayne Inn is a cheap, overpriced motel that lies to get customers, not a hotel. It has no gym, no dining room, and none of the other amenities the ad on here offer except an adjoining liquor store. This posting is a case of fraud! I have never stayed at such a bad motel. The smell from the numerous full cigarette buckets (in front of each room and in the stairwell) gave my spouse a headache, as they don't get emptied every day (or every week, I'd guess). Our sink had dried spit in it, and the water smelled like feces! We bought bottled water to wash and brush our teeth with, and didn't use the showers AT ALL. What a horrible feeling. While the rooms have been renovated recently, they did a poor job, and they cut corners. They put plyboard over the front of the bathroom vanity, and the work was done badly. A broken ceiling tile over the bed made me think a camera had been installed in the drop ceiling. As soon as you leave your room, the door frames, stairs and motel exterior are covered with filth and grime. I couldn't wait to get home! This hotel claims to be 3 Stars, when it is a two star motel that deserves a half star rating. Only stay here if you like grubby motels that feel like a haven for addicts, prostitutes and vagrants.

Basic motel. The radiators didn't work in any of the rooms and the direct TV was out for our whole stay. Bathroom was definitely older, but it was clean. The bed was comfortable. It got really cold at night and you couldn't turn the heat on. No coffee makers in the rooms, but they have a little store there with coffee, alcohol and snacks.I would give it a 5/10.
