Unusual to find a place like it that actually shows they really care about the customers staying there. Super location on a creek with Awsome facilities. Staff was unbelievable as well. You have to check this place out. If you stop in there, make sure to check out Joey’s across the street, If it were possible to do 10 stars instead of 5 I definitely would.

Only stayed for one night but everything was terrific! Lots of wonderful outdoor decks with rocking chairs and the creek was a great place to unwind. I plan on returning later in the fall.

Jonathan Creek Inn and Villas offers cozy, cute, and clean rooms for affordable rates. It is located directly on Jonathan Creek, so when you step outside, you're greeted by the beautiful sound of rushing water. They're is a hammock and gazebo for those who want to relax outside, while some rooms offer a fireplace or hot tub for those wanting to relax inside. There it's one parking spot due each room. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. We are definitely coming back next year. Thank you! Or stay

Nice room, comfortable bed, clean. Screen porch was nice and the outdoor gazebo and seating areas on Jonathon Creek were really nice. Pool was clean. Some web searches still say they have a hot tub. They don't. They have some whirlpool baths in some rooms. Convenient to area restaurants. Keep in mind a lot of restaurants are closed on Monday and Tuesdays.

As I was traveling alone this trip. I felt very safe and comfortable. It was very quiet. I stayed in a King room with fireplace, sitting area and inside hot tub. The bathroom had a shower also. There is a lovely Koi pond with surrounding plants. Blooming lily pads at the pond. I fed the kio daily. The indoor pool is wonderful. I loved it there so much I stayed and extra night. Extra a robin bird built a nest and I watched her while laying in bed.

Super pleasant staff. Very nice location. You can tell that it’s older but well maintained. Very clean. Very nice resting area out back. Right on the creek. It’s not a luxurious resort, but it’s perfect! We will definitely be back!!

The hot tub in room was filthy clearly wasnt cleaned. Popcorn on floor, other food crumbs on floor. It was obvious the linens and trash were changed and that was it. Very disappointing as the tub was the reason for the room and it couldn't be used because it was unsanitary!

It was a nice place overall but there were bugs in our bed and other places in the room. Whatever those bugs were have our bodies covered in very itchy bumps and sores. I killed one and took it to the attendant and he cldnt identify it either but it made for a VERY unpleasant stay!! There were spiders and webs everywhere, roaches and other identified bugs in the room. Do NOT sit in the recliner cos that’s where the bugs started biting me!! If all of that weren’t bad enough our neighbor sounded like they were bench pressing a sofa. NEVER AGAIN!! I have photos and videos to support my claims but no way to attach them to this review.

While the hotel is an older property it has been extremely well maintained and updated. The screens on the porches were fully intact, no bugs could get in. The porch was clean, no spider webs or dust. The room was very clean! No dust on the baseboards, no hair bunnies behind the door in the bathroom, no mold in the shower. The bed was comfortable and had very nice sheets, like you would have in your own home not typical “hotel” sheets. The sheets felt like cotton and were a pretty yellow. The through-the-wall A/C was a bit loud but that’s the way they all are.

I felt lied to honestly by the Expedia reviews. This establishment had over a 9+ rating but was one of the worst hotels I have stayed at. Dead bugs on the walls and a mildew smell stains all over the bathroom door and walls, broken shower tiles and stains on soap holder in shower.

When we arrived we were given a room that was nearest to the street and I asked the reception if the room would be quiet. She responded that no one had ever complained about noise... The street was not a problem but the air conditioner was. They had the AC set to cycle on every 15 minutes to turn on for 2 minutes and then shut off. It was very loud when it did this. It kept us awake most of the night. We finally shut it off completely. The room was stuffy. When I asked the front desk about it , they didn't know anything about it, We had to leave a day early costing us $$$. The floors in the room were filthy and I don't think the bed linens were very clean. But the Hot tub and shower were good.

Really liked the rustic yet modern appointments of the room itself including the dresser, fireplace, artwork, and tables. There were plenty of bath and hand towels; a hairdryer; shampoo; conditioner; body wash; tissues; TP; coffee; refrigerator; tv w/huge movie selection, etc. The creek right outside the veranda door was a welcomed sight with a roaring current that was a pleasure to hear. The room was clean and would not hesitate to return to this location if the opportunity arose.

Stayed in 219 facing the gazebo as well as the creek. The view of the creek in gazebo is absolutely fantastic. The sounds of the creek while sitting on the porch you can't have words just listen and enjoy. The rustic feel mixed with the room and the surroundings and everything in Maggie Valley it was fantastic. I only give comfort a 3 because the bed was a bit stiff and seemed aged but other than that everything else was great!

We love the creekside stay, the staff here are always so friendly. I would recommend if you have any requests to call the location though. I requested the heater be turned on for our late arrival and its questionable if they received the request.

We reserved a creekside room with a patio. I even called the day before to confirm that's what we were getting. The man at the desk sounded like I was a bother. I made it clear we wanted a clear view of the water. When we checked in we went to our room. It was an end room, it had no windows and no patio. No view of the creek unless we stood in the walkway outside our room. My husband went back to the office and explained the problem. They proceeded to be very difficult and talked to my husband in a way that was beyond rude but they finally gave us another room. The young woman at the desk turned to another woman and loudly said, 'Here, you handle him,' and stomped off. We had to climb yet once again another set of stairs. We opened the back door to go onto the deck patio. Well, as the office of course knew, we were facing the water, but a very large covered patio was directly in front of us and blocked the view. My husband had never fussed about the situation, he was just trying to explain. We'll never stay there again.

We opened the back door to go onto the deck patio. Well, as the office of course knew, we were facing the water, but a very large covered patio was directly in front of us and blocked the view. My husband had never fussed about the situation, he was just trying to explain. We'll never stay there again.

It was an amazingly tranquil site with the babbling brrook. Evening staff was a little snippy, but daytime staff was more than helpful. Just wish that the smoking area was not right outside the public area by the brook. rooms were a very generous size, but the towels definitely left some thing to be desired

The hotel was very clean. Beds were comfortable. Shower had plenty of hot water. The heater worked great. The location was great for our skiing at Cataloochi.

I had made a reservation months in advance. Come the weekend of the reservation the weather was bad. Snow negative temperatures. Not safe to drive through the pass. I called to see about a refund. No help. Tried to reschedule. Nope.. can’t do that. So at the end of the day that got my money for nothing.. I won’t ever book with Johnathan’s inn again. This would have been out fifth time staying there. Never again. Ever.

The hotel is a great value every time. It has a great location, across the street from the best breakfast restaurant in town and very close to Cataloochee Ski and the Blue Ridge Parkway. They offer free coffee and filtered water in the lobby all day and have a well-setup lobby with board games. We have not used the glass-covered heated pool.

Nice location close to the tubing and skiing. Pancake place across the street for an easy breakfast. Covered pool was great during 32-degree weather. Babbling creek out the back door was the best music to be heard. We will be returning there for our next southern ski trip!

We loved our stay. After sight seeing all day we came back to the motel and enjoyed swinging by Jonathan Creek.. So peaceful and relaxing. Dinner next door at Bear Brewery and breakfast at Joey's Pancake House was icing on the cake. Would highly recommend Jonathan Creek to any looking for a great place to stay.

Maggie Valley is a quaint small town in the mountains. Jonathan Creek is like being at home. It’s comfortable and has an amazing set-up to enjoy the creek out back. It’s right across the street from Joey’s Pancake House which is a “must eat” breakfast spot. Parking is easy and close for unloading. There are a variety of room types to meet your needs. The only downside is it is not pet friendly other than service animals. We didn’t have our dogs with us this time so we were able to enjoy this beautiful place. Highly recommended!

We very much enjoyed our stay. Enjoyed the swimming pool. The screened in porch was great and it was very soothing to hear the sound of Jonathon’s Creek. We had breakfast across the street at Joey”s Pancake House and that was great.

Everyone was so nice. They gave us great recommendations for restaurants. We ate at Joey’s Pancake House across the street and Bearwater Brewery next door. They also recommend J Arthur’s. So the staff were very helpful. But the BEST Part of our stay was hot tub in our room. Such a nice relaxing stay.

Small, but clean room and small bathroom, but adequate. The screen porch facing the creek was not what I envisioned..it was also small. The only bad thing about this motel is that there is no breakfast, only coffee..not even a donut, and the nearest fast food is 20 minutes away. There are things like a pancake place, etc. but if you want to let the kids sleep while you pop out to get an egg McMuffin, forget it. Most places costing this much have at least a simple muffin & fruit tray. So if you want to eat quick & early, forget it..you have to shower, pack up and head out. The creek is lovely though.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Jonathan Creek Inn. Comfortable bed, really like the access at the rear of the room to enjoy the gazebo and the creek. Just a beautiful setting!

We had a great time. The room was much like most hotel rooms. Microwave and refrigerator coffee maker and comfortable bed. What made it nice was the screened porch and sitting out listening to the creek.

This is very well updated old school hotel. We had a second floor facing the creek with screened porch, which was very relaxing to doom scroll on my phone via WiFi. Only very minor critique, The towels where a bit rough, but clean.
