Meliá South Beach

This is a nice hotel in a very live and beautiful neighborhood. The view is magnificent, and the beach is great. Pools' hours of operation was really awful; 10 to 18 while it's bright and warm from 7 to 21... I didn't like this part. From reception desk to elevators, there are few steps: no ramp and no body from hotel to help!!! Showering was challenging too as water was hot and became cold in a second.

This property is fantastic!! They had really good music, rooms were very spacious and clean, the balcony was really nice and relaxing and in a perfect spot. Staff was always helpful and attentive. The gym was very handy.

Kanon frukost, saknade inget! Rummen va stora och fina med bra utsikt 👍 ända minuset var att de hadde medvetet för lite solstolar som "ingick" på hotellet så de blev fullt direkt. Sedan kunde man köpa tillgång till andra stolar... Detta va riktigt b. I övrigt var hotellet kanon, men fina pooler, gym och aktiviteter precis vid stranden!

Melia South Beach and Melia Calviá are basically 2 buildings but the same resort. The rooms are nice and clean and housekeeping is great. The location is wonderful with the beach and restaurants all right there. Very walkable. We purchased the half board option meaning breakfast and dinner were included. I would only buy the breakfast option in the future. The only dinner included was the buffet and the Calvia and it was not good. We only ate there 2 out of 6 nights and it was not good. They also charge you for drinks at this dinner, even water! I felt nickeled and dimed - we paid for an all inclusive dinner but we had to pay 8.50 EUR for a bottle of water. Also it wasn’t clear that the only included dinner option was the buffet so we went to the seafood restaurant the first night, only to be given a large bill The pool area is very nice and clean. You must put your towels out very early or you will not get a lounger. We ended up purchasing the double sunbeds for 60 EUR per day so we had a place to be. There are only 7 of them and they sell out. I booked them our last days ahead of time. They won’t be available on the same day. The breakfast buffet was really good with lots of options. You can get a taxi to Palma for 45 EUR and the front desk will call them for you. The oceanfront room was very nice but it said there was a balcony but it was only a few inches. The Calvià looked to have larger balconies that you could walk on. Book the calvia and use the South Beach pool.

It’s simply not acceptable for guests to monopolize loungers by tossing a towel at sunrise and disappearing for hours. A fair system should allow a short grace period—30 to 45 minutes—after which staff clear unattended chairs and neatly place belongings in a designated area. This ensures everyone has an equal chance to enjoy the pool without playing a daily game of “towel wars.

You have to pay for nearly every amenity it seems like after already paying plenty for the room. 2/3 of the beach was completely closed for our entire stay which is out of the control of the resort but then they still expected you to pay for a beach lounge chair and didn’t provide any additional chairs near the pool. I’ve stayed at other Melia resorts before and this is by far my most disappointing experience.

Very friendly around the pool areas although too many towels os sun beds without people using them for most of the day

Un hôtel type “all inclusive” aux parties communes (ex: Lobby, restaurants) soignées. La chambre Melia était bien. La demie pension était bien: bon petit déjeuner incluant boissons. Le repas du soir se trouve dans l’hôtel d’à côté, appartenant au même groupe. Il y avait du choix, la nourriture était bonne mais toutes les boissons (même l’eau) sont payantes. Attention: La plage de l’hôtel est payante et les piscines sont petites. Les clients se lèvent à 7h00 pour mettre leurs serviettes sur les chaises longues de la piscine. Si on ne fait pas pareil, alors on a pas de place à la piscine…

Die Zimmer waren sehr schön eingerichtet und wie abgebildet später auch verfügbar. Die beiden Pools direkt am Hotel waren stets sauber und angenehm von der Temperatur. Ebenfalls ist das sich im Erdgeschoss befindliche Gym vollkommen ausreichend, sauber und zu jeder Zeit zu benutzen. Der Empfangsbereich ist modern und stimmungsvoll mit Farblichtspielen und Musik untermalt und spiegelt den Gesamteindruck des Hotels wieder. Das Essen war stets lecker, vielfälltig und schön angerichtet. Das Frühstück war im eigenen Hotel in Poolnähe, das Abendessen im Anliegenden miteinander verbundenen Melia Calvia Beach angerichtet, was das Hotelerlebnis "Grenzübergreifend" gestaltet hat und man so auch Einblick in andere Hotelanlagen hatte, was das Hotelerlebnis erweitert hat. Die Klimaanlage war ein Segen und die Aussicht (Teilweise Meerblick in der Beschreibung) hat sich als schöner Ausblick von der Poolanlage bis hin zum Strand und Meer herausgestellt. Das Hotel können wir nur empfehlen, wenn man den Mix aus Ruhe und Unterhaltung sucht.

Nessuno ci ha accompagnato in camera o mostrato il resort. O spigato come funziona rigirando alla colazione o alla piscina. Molto maleducati. Nessuno parla inglese perfettamente. Un semplice caffè veniva portato altro. In piscina si usa prendere il lettino mettendo su un asciugamano e lasciare delle cose. Ma la gente maleducata ti buttava tutto x prendersi il lettino. Mi è successo a me… scendo la mattina presto lascio asciugamano con una borsa vuota x fortuna, vado a fare colazione, salgo in camera (l piscina apriva intorno alle 10) scendo e nn trovo più le mie cose erano state letteralmente buttate le ho ritrovate in un secondo momento. Ho chiesto al bagnino non mi ha saputo aiutare. Ho fatto complain alla redemption.. nessuno ha fatto nulla. Il giorno dopo è successo lo stesso ad altre persone ed è dovuta intervenire la sicurezza xke x poco nn si menavano. Pessimo servizio. Eppure è un hotel a 4 stelle. Per nn parlare della pulizia.. camere molte sporche. La location non è male. Peccato x l’hotel.

Melia South Beach and Melia Calviá are basically 2 buildings but the same resort. The rooms are nice and clean and housekeeping is great. The location is wonderful with the beach and restaurants all right there. Very walkable. We purchased the half board option meaning breakfast and dinner were included. I would only buy the breakfast option in the future. The only dinner included was the buffet and the Calvia and it was not good. We only ate there 2 out of 6 nights and it was not good. They also charge you for drinks at this dinner, even water! I felt nickeled and dimed - we paid for an all inclusive dinner but we had to pay 8.50 EUR for a bottle of water. Also it wasn’t clear that the only included dinner option was the buffet so we went to the seafood restaurant the first night, only to be given a large bill The pool area is very nice and clean. You must put your towels out very early or you will not get a lounger. We ended up purchasing the double sunbeds for 60 EUR per day so we had a place to be. There are only 7 of them and they sell out. I booked them our last days ahead of time. They won’t be available on the same day. The breakfast buffet was really good with lots of options. You can get a taxi to Palma for 45 EUR and the front desk will call them for you. The oceanfront room was very nice but it said there was a balcony but it was only a few inches. The Calvià looked to have larger balconies that you could walk on. Book the calvia and use the South Beach pool.

The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly, the buffet is good, the views are amazing and is organized. The food in the restaurant is gross. My husband ordered a medium well steak and he got well cook that taste horrible, the waitress took it back and he lost the appetite that night

The property was beautiful and modern. It was mostly clean although we found the room to be a bit dusty and the floor did not feel clean. The room was luxurious and we enjoyed out stay!

Hotel à fuir. Ne merite en aucun cas les 4 etoiles. Pas de bagagiste pour commencer vous porter vos bagages seule de la depose du taxi jusqu’a votre chambre. Au niveau de la chambre aucune intimité dans la salle de bain car elle n’est pas fermé les toilettes non plus. Le lavabo est à côté du lit et collé à la penderie du dressing qui est ouvert également. Pas d’insonorisation, on entend absolument tout ce qu’il se passe dans le couloirs et inversement dans le couloirs vous entendez tout ce qu’il se passe dans les chambres… Il n’y a pas assez de transat dans les piscines il faut y aller grand max à 7h30 du matin sinon pas de piscine pour vous pour la journée. Le pire est que la plage privée de l’hotel est payante pour les résidents de l’hotel 😅 et non indiqué dans toute les offres (booking, expedia etc etc). Wifi catastrophique dans les chambres mais fonctionne seulement à l’accueil de l’hotel. Et cerise sur le gateau. L’eau est payante. Pas de bouteille dans les chambres. J’ai fait le tour du monde et c’est le premier hotel de ma vie ou je vois ça. Tout est en supplément. Pas de peignoir pas de pantoufles dans les chambres. Le confort des lits ce n’est pas ça… Je me suis faite agresser par un client qui a voulu me frapper… car je n’ai pas voulu lui donner mon transat sur lequel j’etais depuis très tot le matin l’hotel à pris sa défense ! Incroyable ! Le seul point positif : très bon petit déjeuner ! Mais ne mérite absolument pas les 4 étoiles !

Great location. Easy access to the beach. Great staff and service. Next to Nikki Beach with great music all day. I was not happy that there was no chair in the room and extremely small balcony which could not hang bathing suits to dry.

We stayed four nights at the Melia South Beach and loved it! Definitely the nicest resort on the beach in Magaluf. Loved the room and frontal sea view. The pool area was clean and well kept. Resort staff were helpful and pleasant. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of options and was delicious. Suggestions: there is a small table in the room but no chair, would be nice to have a chair to sit and apply makeup etc. Also the bathroom has a light sensor so every time you enter the light automatically turns on which in the middle of the night can be annoying. Takes about 5 minutes for it to turn off. Also the AC could have been 1-2 degrees cooler. The pool area can definitely use more loungers as people put towels on them and save them. One day we had to walk around for quite a while and wait for some people to leave. Can’t imagine what it will be like in high season July/August. Otherwise everything was wonderful and I would definitely stay here again. I think next time I would upgrade and get a room with a balcony.

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren, ich habe vom 8. Juni bis zum 11. Juni meinen Urlaub im Melia South Beach Hotel verbracht. Beim Check-In um 9:30 Uhr wurde uns gesagt, dass wir nicht am Frühstück bedienen dürfen, da der erste Tag wohl nicht inklusive sei. Aufgrund dessen mussten wir außerhalb des Hotels eine Frühstücksmöglichkeit suchen. Ich wollte bei Ihnen nachfragen, ob das so stimmt denn theoretisch haben wir doch für diesen Tag genauso viel gezahlt wie für alle anderen Tage. Daher finden ich es unfair, dass wir obwohl wir pünktlich zum Frühstück vor Ort waren, nicht am Frühstücksbuffet teilnehmen durften. Wir haben Flug und Hotel zusammen über EXPEDIA gebucht, d.h.: das Hotel wusste, dass wir früh ankommen würden. Zudem war unser Check-In in unsere Zimmer erst knapp 16:30 Uhr möglich, da die Rezeption so voll war, dass wir nicht früher einchecken durften. Die ganze Situation am aller ersten Tag war uns schrecklich unangenehm, weshalb ich mich hier an dieser Stelle beschweren muss. Mit freundlichen Grüßen

Excellent hotel, in front of the beach, excellent food options with gluten and dairy free options, friendly and kind staff, beautiful beach front rooms. Handicap friendly hotel, near many shopping and dinner options. Breakfast and dinner options are excellent!! We loved this hotel, and definitely will come back again.

Got a call from staff about a noise complaint around 1400 that wasn't us. The staff proceeded to threaten us with security after i politely informed them they had the wrong person. Told them they could come see for themselves and continued to be rude. Also gave us the wrong room even though i paid for a better one. The area is beautiful but the cleaning people would come into our room when i had the do not enter sign on the door

The hotel and grounds are nice, many of the staff are nice, and the food at the hotel is good. However, unfortunately, the hotel next door plays extremely loud rave/dance "music" for 12 hours a day, every day/night. So loud you can feel the vibrations constantly, and you can\'t have a conversation or even hear the TV on full volume! It\'s like being in a nightclub. If you like that type of thing - great, but if you are looking for something more quiet and relaxing - I\'d consider another area.

Loved it here! It was the perfect location for us to stay our entire stay in Mallorca and did a d ay trips to Sòller area and another day trip to Santanyi area! Buffet breakfast is absolutely amazing! The pools are lovely, stage is friendly, rooms and facilities are as they look of the pictures!

personnel peu competent, mais globalement l'hotel est en phase avec sa politique de prix. Mais la ville est clairement horrible si nous n'avons pas 20ans en quête de fêtes arrosées. Piscine non chauffée

The reception staff were friendly and the room was spacious. Being right next to a beach club, it is not the most ideal location if you’re looking for a quiet getaway. Had a really awkward and uncomfortable last night at the dinner buffet and the staff were unapologetic about it. I will not be returning.

We had a great stay at Melia South Beach. Excellent location, beautiful beach and walking distance to many restaurants and shops.

I’m only giving 2 stars because Claudia at the front desk was a gem, and the only helpful person at this hotel. My check-in took an hour as I booked a partial sea view room and they gave me a room facing the courtyard. I complained and had 2 staff members check out the room with me in which they just stated they were sold out of other rooms and I could pay an extra $50/night for a better view. I escalated to guest services, and they did nothing for me! My 48 hr holiday started off on a bad note. Their food options were limited, room service menu was poor, and restaurants closed early. I also got the stomach bug after their breakfast buffet that lasted 3 days. All in all, I wouldn’t stay there again nor would I recommend others.
