Our second room had a broken security chain and no soap in the shower. During our 5 night stay, there was no housekeeping service beyond the one towel refresh that we had to request. Whenever we requested or pointed things out, the staff was very quick to address and very pleasant.

Staff were happy to assist with any of our enquiries. Walking distance from most facilities and attractions in the city. Disappointed with the on site restaurant not open on weekend for dinner. For a six night stay room was not serviced once. Pool was close for maintenance which was very disappointing when the temperature was 35 degrees everyday. No compendium in the room to assist with hotel and local area information.

We choose this hotel due to the pool - but the pool was closed, and are clearly closed for a long period. They still advertise with the pool, even though they know it isn’t available. So we paid full price, and didn’t have a pool or spa-area… pretty disappointed.

Great location but the rooms were really expensive. During our stay our rooms were not serviced, and the pool was closed for renovations (despite having been advertised on the Wotif website). Would have preferred to stay somewhere else if I’d know this was going to be my experience.

Very nice room with everything you need, great location, very nice staff. Only downside was the pool being renovated but there were alternatives offered close by which was explained at check in but we weren’t aware of the pool closure when we booked.

Was a great place to stay. Disappointed that the pool was being upgraded and nothing on website to tell us it was unavailable before booking it would be out. Booked a room with a king bed, but bed was clearly a queen. Small things I know but overall would stay there again.

Property is becoming dated and needs upgrading. Loose kitchen tap, loose door handles and other items in need of maintenance. Had a ten day stay and had to ask for change of sheets and towels. General appearance of grout around tiles in bathroom and balcony in poor condition. Not the best apartment hotel we have stayed in and I am generally easily pleased.

The lift was not working properly, had to wait for long sometimes, and had to use the emergency staircase as it was that long. The room was okay, the main bedroom light was not working at all, had to call and ask for them to change. My parents’s room smelled like mould, very humid in there Eventho there is air purifier or maybe it wasn’t working properly. On the last day, the pool was closed until afternoon (double checked with the reception) but we found out that it was open early, so that was a bit dissapointing. Overall, the stay was okay, not sure if we will come back, maybe for the last resort.

1st time I have ever been to a hotel where rooms aren't cleaned daily. Upon enquiring we were told room only gets cleaned once a week. Rubbish we dispose of ourselves in the shute near the elevator. And we have to ring everytime we needed anything missing or nearly finished. For eg. Toilet paper, towels, tea coffee nor refurbished. Fans in the room felt like it was going to take off and very wobbly. The door on the balcony does not close fully ankd you cannot lock it. Buffet was very limited for a 4 star hotel and I mean we have been to several hotels in so many years in Australia and overseas.

The initial contact on check in should have alerted us to what the overall experience would be. Check in staff unable to answer questions about our Accor membership. The corridor on level 15 smelt when the lift door opened. The room was dirty and uninviting. It smelt damp, there was a dehumidifier running which was confusing as we had not experienced this at any of 5 other accommodation places stayed at on our trip. The toilet had about a cm of mould growing between the cistern lid and the cistern which I had to clean. The skirting boards were dusty and the light switches, remote controls and other electrical appliances were dirty, the soap dispenser in the washing machine had not been cleaned and had caked on washing powder, the out door setting was old and needed to be resanded and resealed and the pool dirty and not cleaned once during our 3 night stay, we watched the layer of dirt on the bottom of the pool increase each day. The dining chairs in their restaurant were old and uncomfortable and the tables had not been cleaned. When we reported the dirty toilet and dust issues the reception staff just gave us a card to contact the cleaning manager, they did not get the room recleaned. If it had not have been school holidays I would have moved hotels. Overall our experience at the Mantra was very disappointing for the price we paid.

Great central Darwin city location for attending Darwin festival events. Bathroom was modern and spacious. Bes and lounge also comfortable and spacious. Modern bedside lamps with USB. Good aircon, nice verandah. TV smallest we've seen un a hotel in a very long time - bigger TV in a cruise ship room. Hallway carpet in desperate need of replacement - very much a trip hazard.

Aircon didn’t work in the first room which took a lot of convincing to the front desk but by 9.30pm they realised it wasn’t working by this time we had sweated enough. Then was downgraded with the next room. We have used mantra pandanas for the last ten years and also are members of the Accor group as we are Darwinites that work and live remote. Sunday 26/10/2023 will be the last time we set foot inside that building ever again it’s been turned into a glorified workers camp.

Great views from the 19th floor, however our room air conditioning didn't work well, the unit dropped water onto the bed underneath continuously so we had to move it. Was also disappointed to be given a disabled room as bathroom not as nice as they usually are

I always stay here when in town - there is only one thing that annoys me, the charge of $200 deposit. I have already paid for my room in advance - so why am I being charged another $200 that doesnt get recredited to my credit card until the end of the month? Its not like i could be stealing anything from the fridge - there is no minibar just a little box of milk. Any room service could be immediately booked against a card. It just seems a bit dishonest of a hotel to hotel to needlessly hold onto $200 from literally hundreds and hundreds of customers a month. What guest is going to check their credit card payments the next month to make sure the refund has arrived. Its really treating guests disrespectfully, telling every guest they are a potential thief snd may checkout with a bedside lamp in their luggage. Surely the hotel has insurance for actual theft? A very bad guest experience being asked for this money, especially after already having paid in advance, and being a regular guest!

The check in process was terrible. Took forever, had to park my car in a bus parking area, then had to conduct a u turn in amongst traffic and go around the block to find the hotel parking. Staff forgot to give me code for parki g and my room number. Our room however was great as is the location of the hotel

The initial contact on check in should have alerted us to what the overall experience would be. Check in staff unable to answer questions about our Accor membership. The corridor on level 15 smelt when the lift door opened. The room was dirty and uninviting. It smelt damp, there was a dehumidifier running which was confusing as we had not experienced this at any of 5 other accommodation places stayed at on our trip. The toilet had about a cm of mould growing between the cistern lid and the cistern which I had to clean. The skirting boards were dusty and the light switches, remote controls and other electrical appliances were dirty, the soap dispenser in the washing machine had not been cleaned and had caked on washing powder, the out door setting was old and needed to be resanded and resealed and the pool dirty and not cleaned once during our 3 night stay, we watched the layer of dirt on the bottom of the pool increase each day. The dining chairs in their restaurant were old and uncomfortable and the tables had not been cleaned. When we reported the dirty toilet and dust issues the reception staff just gave us a card to contact the cleaning manager, they did not get the room recleaned. If it had not have been school holidays I would have moved hotels. Overall our experience at the Mantra was very disappointing for the price we paid.

Great central Darwin city location for attending Darwin festival events. Bathroom was modern and spacious. Bes and lounge also comfortable and spacious. Modern bedside lamps with USB. Good aircon, nice verandah. TV smallest we've seen un a hotel in a very long time - bigger TV in a cruise ship room. Hallway carpet in desperate need of replacement - very much a trip hazard.

It was good having so much space more like a flat than a room. I thought housekeeping should have come around more frequently to empty the bins as cooking for yourself you generate a fair bit of rubbish. The room was cool on arrival. The window was dirty. Close to shops and right in the heart of the cbd. Friendly cafe in the complex.

Very nice room with everything you need, great location, very nice staff. Only downside was the pool being renovated but there were alternatives offered close by which was explained at check in but we weren’t aware of the pool closure when we booked.

Staff were happy to assist with any of our enquiries. Walking distance from most facilities and attractions in the city. Disappointed with the on site restaurant not open on weekend for dinner. For a six night stay room was not serviced once. Pool was close for maintenance which was very disappointing when the temperature was 35 degrees everyday. No compendium in the room to assist with hotel and local area information.

The food wasn’t good, breakfast was over cooked, eg sausages were extremely tough and very dry like they were 2 weeks old, the berry smoothy was beginning to bubble meaning ity was maturing. Had a steak nite dinner there as well, ordered a medium rare steak and it was very well done and tough meat as well. Apart from the local reasuarant the hotel was satisfactory

Liked the room, it was very well laid out except the carpet was patched and worn in some areas of the room. Restaurant advertised bacon / egg muffin with coffee on the blackboard in the lobby. When we ordered this we were told this is for only weekdays only, why then not remove the blackboard on a weekend.

Good apartment with a fairly good kitchen, good bedroom and lounge area. Balcony had an aircon unit blasting hot area onto it all day and night so the view was good but it was not pleasant to sit outside
