Euro Inn & Suites of Slidell

First off, we couldn’t verify the property was pet friendly from the website, but we could’ve called before booking. So that’s on us. But we were frustrated because we were told by the leader at the desk if we call Expedia they would cancel our reservation and the hotel would approve the refund. We canceled but they did not refund. Regardless of the pet policy, upon pulling into the parking lot, we were already prepared to go somewhere else. It’s sketchy there. There was what looked like some kind of parking lot party happening. A lot of questionable people and questionable activity in the parking lot, many who seemed to be living there, rather than just staying a night or two. We did not stay the night, but from what we saw, the parking lot was gross, the lobby didn’t look clean, there was a smell. The photos online make it look relatively clean and nice, but it’s a catfish motel. Look at the many recent 1 star google reviews. Google earth street view will give you a better picture. It is a rough motel in a bad area of town.

It was okay. No face towels in the bathroom. No lobby.

Price was right for a quick overnight. Nonsmoking room was decent. No elevator to second floor.

Gave me smoking after repeatedly asked for non-smoking. Additionally the safety features were extremely lacking, particularly on the door to the shared balcony.

Room was ok and beds looked clean and comfortable, but there was mold on the ceiling and the bathroom was dirty with a (dead?) bug seen in the shower.

Not at all accommodating. Sign said DON'T DRINK TAP WATER, yet no bottled water was provided or offered. Bedding is outdated. Our room already had dirty/wet towels in the bathroom. Sign says NEW ROOM; the rooms are practically empty.

Super humid area, linens are always damp as air conditioners aren’t dehumidified. Staff was pleasant and friendly

The office staff helped with fixing my reservation where I accidentally got a smoking room. That staffer did not have to but did. The non-smoking room was good for me.
