The room was clean, but very old and needing renovation. The bench was burnt, the TV unplugged, a stray bulb hung from the range hood and the particle board on some of the shelves has started to disintegrate. The free WiFi is limited to 2Gb. Not good enough for 2024!

The room was clean, and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. The housekeeping team was also efficient and approachable. However, the Wi-Fi was quite problematic. Despite this, the staff's excellent service greatly enhanced our overall experience.

Brilliant 2 night stay. Clean. Convenient to all shopping options. Comfortable bed ✔️ Full kitchen & laundry facilities in room ✔️ Furnishings a bit dated but homely in my view. Staff friendly and helpful. Value for money ✔️ ✔️ Surpassed my expectations ✔️. Only downside was not having on site parking and having to park 250m away at TSB arena ( at a discounted rate !) but a small inconvenience considering. I highly recommend the Quest and will stay there every visit from now on.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, recommending dining options nearby (Willis Lane was great). We had a slight issue with our internet connection, but this was very quickly rectified once we made the team aware of our problem. While parking is not onsite, it is a very easy walk to the TSB stadium. All in all would most certainly recommend The Quest and will definitely be back to stay.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. When we checked into our room we realized that there was no air conditioner. It is the summer in New Zealand so we had to open the three available windows that we had. This hotel is in the center of the city so we heard lots of noises from the streets all night. The garbage being collected, the crosswalk beeps, traffic, people talking, and etc. In addition to this, there was a washer and dryer in the restroom (one reason we had choosen this hotel). We washed a load of clothes, put that load in the dryer provided and started the second load washing, only to find out that the dryer door would not stay closed. We had to bring a chair from the room into the bathroom and propped the iron board against the dryer in order to keep the dryer door closed without having to stand there and hold it closed. The dryer was so loud that it could be heard all the way down the hallway.

What we liked: 1. Amazing check-in 2. Amazing equipment in the suite - dishwasher, washing machine and dryer 3. Parking facilities - easy and user-friendly 4. Accessibility to all What we did not like: 1. Splashback areas around sink are warped, cracked and peeling and probably have mould. Simple solution would be tiles. 2. There was no fan in the room - in WGT summer this is a must as opening windows during traffic is not an option 3. The foyer and lift carpets needed vacuuming at the time of our arrival and departure.

The location of the property is great. I was a little disappointed in how "dated" the place is though. e.g. the charger beside the bed is for an iPod (not iPhone) which hasn't been produced in 15 years. Not sure if I"ll be able to attache pictures. The place could have done with a cleaning. The fan in the bathroom was almost completly clogged with dust and lint, and room service often hadn't come by the time I got back from the office around 4:30pm. Fine for a place to sleep, but wouldn't want to spend much time there

It was perfectly positioned for public transport from the airport. Two supermarkets within a couple of minutes walking and plenty of good food places within a 5 minute walk. The property was very clean and had a very large fridge/freezer plus everything you needed to cook for yourself. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful.

Tidy and clean but needs a revamp, rooms are tired and very basic. Chairs were falling apart, no doors on cabinets in bathroom. Horrible coffee selection and UHT milk. Great shower though. For the money charged we have stayed in much better condition Quest apartments. Bit sad unfortunately. Reception staff were amazing very helpful.

The staff were very polite and helpful. The rooms were cosy and practical. The kettle had been boiled dry at some point and was leaving bits of ?metal or ?ash in my cup of tea, There was mould growing on the ceiling of the bathroom and in the shower.

Property was available last minute when I needed to find place to stay for multiple nights. Location great , very central to harbor and shopping . Two bedroom apartment on top floor was spacious and airy. Liked detailed molding on ceiling - character . Cleaning staff was cheerful . Opportunities - mold in the shower was gross and kitchen counter/wall deteriorating . Front desk was not communicative about process to order groceries and one pager provided on policies did not align with materials found in room . Would be a great place to stay if condition of apartment lived up to the location

Lovely old 1930's building, very well placed in Wellington CBD for access to everything. Apartment was clean and had everything we needed. Decor is a bit dated and fairly basic, but in keeping with the age/style of the building. Excellent shower, bed comfortable, if a little firm for us. Quiet hotel, some street noise on occasion, but it's central city and that's to be expected. Check in/out was easy and the receptionists are great. Very good apartment at a very reasonable price. Recommend.

It was my second time staying at Quest and just like the first time the room was clean and well equipped. When you walk into the foyer it feels fancy and so does the lift. I will definitely be returning here again!

The apartment was cleaned, but not deep clean. The seals at the bottom of the shower needed replacing and the vent in the bathroom needed cleaning. It didn't feel dirty, they had just missed deep cleaning certain areas. Some of the furniture was in need of refurbishment. Not a big job, but something that had not been addressed. There had obviously been a problem with the heater and there were black marks up the wall which hadn't been cleaned off properly. Otherwise, it had everything we needed, including washing machine and tumble dryer. It looked like the owners were in the process of refurbishing and were working on the infrastructure. The receptionists were polite and helpful. The apartments are right on Lambton Quay, so easy access to shopping, tourist sites and bus routes. The Quest felt secure and safe.

The rooms were nice, there was a washer and dryer which was great. Nice location, easy to walk to a lot of places inc!uding the ferry terminal. Unfortunately there is no air conditioning and the street noise is VERY loud.

Staff are helpful and friendly and it's a fantastic location right in the centre near the main street, Lambton Quay. Don't miss the underground dining and shopping mall in the building next door - entrance is next to Starbucks. Best place to eat here! The Quest apartments are lovely although a bit dated - personally I liked the homely old feel. Comfortable beds, quiet and secure. Don't miss the Wellington cable car - only a few minutes from the Quest.

Good value for money. ‘Studio’ way more spacious than appeared in a photo. It’s usually the reverse! The drapes were thermal lined & helped to reduce street noise & keep the room well insulated for warmth. There was a heating unit that functioned well, but I only used it for 15 minutes and then turned ‘off’. The bed was so comfortable & clean I couldn’t stay awake. There were extra blankets in a wardrobe, as well as an ironing board & iron. The kitchenette is well equipped. If staff, or guests, didn’t keep nicking or losing track of plugs, there would be one each for the bathroom and kitchen the sinks!? The bathroom is spacious with a washing machine in the right hand corner. The shower rose belts out a good stream of water. My only concern was the tripping hazard when near the entrance to the bathroom off the kitchenette. There really should be an eye catching yellow line warning of a discrepancy in floor levels and the setting of the row of tiles along the leading edge of the entrance to the bathroom. The tiles are angled upwards & there is a ‘lip’ the entire width. A guest could catch the soul of their shoe, especially if standing side-on, and not looking down while in the kitchenette. The room was directly opposite the lift well on the 2nd floor, I think. I wasn’t aware of any noise internally at this property. I was only there for 12 hours & did not see any other guests. The two staff were warmly welcoming, & clear with details on a cold, wet Wellington evening. Thanks!

Property is old and a bit run down. Noisey street. Not double glazed. Uncomfortable couch, old TV, no chrome cast option. Like that it had washer & dryer, good size closet. Bathroom cupboards swelled up grom moisture, heated towel rail not wired in. Shower really noisey and not flowing well, heavy doors slam and noisey. Extractor fan needs cleaning. Close to transport, csfes, supermarket, shops, office building

Great position but apartment worse for wear. Quite a few bits broken or not working (range hood light, heated towel rail, etc). Nice size space but better for winter due no aircon. It was extremely hot. If the windows were opened the road noise was very bad thus poor sleep. Bed quite comfortable. The price was good though, staff were professional and friendly.

Quest in Wellington on the corner of Hunter was an excellent choice... quiet, well presented and very good value for money. Amenities were very good for the price and comfort. Great experience.

Convenient given the location. Clean and tidy. I wasn’t looking for amenities such as a gym or a pool. It’s a shame that parking in the area is so expensive. We weren’t informed that reception would not be open when we checked out, so quite warily just left out keys on the counter and left - it would have been nice if at check in Reception took notice of our checkout date and gave a heads up. Otherwise, a fine stay.

The room was clean, and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. The housekeeping team was also efficient and approachable. However, the Wi-Fi was quite problematic. Despite this, the staff's excellent service greatly enhanced our overall experience.

Nice and clean, comfortable bed and easily walkable around the CBD. I arranged a late check-in, however stood outside the hotel waiting for the operator to pick up for 20 minutes, a faster system would be great especially at night.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, recommending dining options nearby (Willis Lane was great). We had a slight issue with our internet connection, but this was very quickly rectified once we made the team aware of our problem. While parking is not onsite, it is a very easy walk to the TSB stadium. All in all would most certainly recommend The Quest and will definitely be back to stay.

À good location to visit on foot Wellington and access the main landmarks, restaurants. The weather was awful so few activities were not available but good opportunity to visit muséums near by.

Staff are helpful and friendly and it's a fantastic location right in the centre near the main street, Lambton Quay. Don't miss the underground dining and shopping mall in the building next door - entrance is next to Starbucks. Best place to eat here! The Quest apartments are lovely although a bit dated - personally I liked the homely old feel. Comfortable beds, quiet and secure. Don't miss the Wellington cable car - only a few minutes from the Quest.

I love staying here, its so close to everything, there's two supermarkets just a 5 min walk away, and I love the mix and match art deco look. Have stayed here three times now, and am kiwi living in the US who grew up in Wellington. The location of Quest Wellington cannot be beat, I stay here rather than staying with family, because the location is so great!

Really like that it is so close to everything. Shops , Supermarket , cafes, restaurants, the Cable car, Queens wharf. The railway station is only a 12 min walk as is the Stadium. On the down side , I would like to see smart TVs that provide access to TVNZ Plus and Three Now. It is not necessary to have Netflix that would just be a plus. Also I found the lighting very dim and difficult for reading.

Excellent location. Close to shops, resturants, and tourist sights. If getting transport from airport state Qywst Wellington as we got dropped off to Quest Lampton.

This a very tired property. It is old and the owners seem to have an attitude of doing the least they can get away with. It is very inconveniently designed. The shelves are so high up that despite being of a good height, I had to use the chair at times to reach or really rise on my toes. The microwave was so high that I gave up using it. The cooking utensils are very basic have no lids and prone to burning food. Housekeeping staff probably doesn't speak English cos none of our instructions were followed on any day. The amenities are of poor quality. The toilet paper was as thin as tracing paper and the towels were threadbare. Shampoo and bath wash provided were 15ml tubes! The only saving grace was the location of the property. Very poor quality for the price of the rooms. The rooms do have a hob, dishwasher and a washer dryer. The WiFi quality is terrible and only strong in certain parts of the room.

City centre location was what we wanted. Car Park, while costly was close. Understand City centre and outsourcing of parking space. Eva at the desk was wonderful. Helpful, friendly and an absolute gem. The apartment was adequate. However, the shower had mould in the sealant. Unsightly. Loved the heated towel rail. Couches were saggy and tired. Loved the heater panel. It kept us warm enough. Cutlery and crockery were miss matched and much of it chipped. Simple matching played cups etc would be more appealing. The lovely Eva gave us an extra water glass and another unchipped mug. The fridge was completely frozen up. It worked but had an iceberg in it capable of supporting a penguin colony. Bedroom. The wardrobe door was off its runner. Dangerous and unsightly. Spare blankets were just thrown in the top. Not even folded. Spoke of a previous inhabitant doing that and not tidied up after check out. Grateful for the washing machine and drier. A small airing stand would be handy for anything that can't be dried in a drier. One living room light didn't work. Made the corner a bit dark. Jackie

Spacious self-contained apartment right in the centre of Wellington within easy walking distance to most of the downtown attractions. We liked having a separate lounge, spacious kitchen and even a washing machine in the bathroom. This is an older style apartment that is showing its age, but was definitely all we needed for a 2-night stay in downtown Wellington. We would definitely stay again.
