I had everything I required for my stay, except for hot showers. I never got any hot water. The best I could do was reduce the flow to a near dribble & get a tolerable tepid. The noise from downstairs was constant thru most of the nights, but I wore earplugs to dampen the sounds. However, on Friday night, they played loud music & I could hear the bass & drumbeats thru my plugs. I was kept awake until past midnight. Also my food was once stolen from the kitchen.

Great staff… comfy room, stayed in the Seymour suite and it was lovely… clean… shared bathroom looked brand new… super clean… attached pub had awesome food… was a quick walk up the street from the waterfront station at the end of the Airport Canada line and pretty short walk to the cruise port. Great value!

Great location. Could walk everywhere. Had a 2 person room. Was noise from restaurant/bar below and no A/C but knew before we booked. There was a fan in the room and we slept fine. Front desk people were nice. Room and bathroom down hall were spotless.

Close to everything and small lounge with kitchen on first floor. Was noisy though! You must wear ear plugs or noise canceling airpoda if you want to sleep properly! You literally hear everything around!

The sheets aren’t washed, find some hair on it but the worst part is bed bugs. Me and my husband were both been bitten. And find some bugs crawling on the bed and I have took some videos of it.

I got eaten alive by BED BUGS during my stay. Place is not very clean and many of the security doors are broken and or out of use. I would not stay again or recommend to another.

Clean and comfy bed, we have private room so whole room was great for space though small as like any accommodation in an older style building. Service at front desk was friendly with each passing as well as check in and departure. Bathrooms well equipped & extremely clean and looked after.

Very handy location in Vancouver, 10-15min walk to Canada Place & train station, Gastown, etc. Rooms & bathroom were kept very clean & you can do your laundry from 4pm to midnight daily (so housekeeping staff can do necessary laundry first). Bunk bed was comfortable, plenty of local food outlets available until late & the bar downstairs has something on every night. That can get a bit noisy with karaoke, etc echoing thru the building, but not a huge issue. Enjoyed my stay 4 days & would recommend!

The room was rather small and very hot. We had to keep the window open so as not to suffocate in the night, and since the accommodation is located in downtown Vancouver it was super loud during the night. Additionally the towels were dirty and there was mould in the communal showers. I would not recommend.

Affordable place to stay, works for a couple days. Only call outs is they do not have AC. It’s an old building so it got quite hot inside even when it was only 12 outside. Also, it’s over a bar and across the street from a nightclub. On weekends if you plan to go out this place is great, but if you want to go to sleep early to explore it is quite loud and hard to sleep.

I wasn't the first to arrived to the shared room, so i got stuck with the top bunk, 80's and 90's movies saying the top bunk is the place to be... it. Is. Not. Heat rises, so it was slightly unbearable to sleep in at times. I went out to the bars at most nights, when i come back, people fart, thats a human bodily function. Id come back from a night out, only to be met with my roomie hot boxing the room....then i climped the bunkbed to sleep...and contribute to the smell. Needs a cheap clip fan for top bunk sleepers.

Hostel im Herzen von Downtown, top Lage. Sehr altes Gebäude mit engem Gang. Fenster konnten wir leider nur einen Spalt öffnen, daher war es sehr warm im Zimmer. Zimmer war klein aber okay. Allgemein sehr sauber. Unkompliziert und günstig aber wenig Komfort.

For the price point of staying in downtown Vancouver, you're really just getting a bed to sleep in. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The shared bathrooms are small. My mattress was so worn that the middle had a massive dent in it, and the building is always loud; bring earplugs with you! If you're looking for a very convenient, central location and a bed to sleep in for the cheap, this is the place.

Great little spot for the price! If you’ve never stayed in a hostel, prepare to bring earplugs if you want the window open for fresh hair (rooms get really warm if it’s closed). Room had to fans which was great to help drown out the street noise and creaky hallways when people were walking to their rooms/ bathrooms. Overall, great spot!

Location was GREAT! In between the Waterfront and Granville stations, it was easy to get places via SkyTram or bus or walk to Gastown neighborhood or Vancouver Playhouse. I had a single room which was maybe 7x10 feet. There were two stools but no table. Bathrooms were clean. I didn't use the kitchen or living room areas. It is on top of a bar with live music and you car hear sirens from the streets below, so bring ear plugs. Other travelers were respectful. I would stay here again the next time I'm in Vancouver.

This is my first time staying at a hostel and I really enjoyed it. If I ever have to travel on a budget again I will definitely do it again. I will recommend anyone to stay here, the place is so clean and safe. I like that they had separate floors for men and woman, nqde me feel safe. I also really liked the kitchen area, was nice and quiet and great way to interact with other people. The front desk lady was super nice and helpful, whenever I had a problem she helped me right away. Too bad I didn't get her name

Everything was alright, it was totally worthy for the price. However, there was a mouse in the kitchen and when I told the receptionist about it he told me there was nothing he could do about it. Besides this, I enjoyed my stay there and the staff was often pretty friendly.

I really enjoyed staying here. It was cleaned and neat as well as well organizing all the places, loved kitchen interior. I loved my room. The employee was super nice and let me stay one bedroom alone when there is a space available. This is fantastic customer service that I had. My experience was really good and easy to acess everywhere. Thank you combie to make me a great experience in Vancouver.

Even though I informed the counter personnel that I had to leave early for the airport several times, and they said that someone would be there, there was no one at the counter when I had to leave, my Uber was already waiting and almost left, so I left the keys and a note at the desk. Now they are messaging me that I should pay a late fee

Great location & walking distance from everything I wanted to do while I was in Vancouver. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Next time I visit Vancouver (hopefully soon for Grey Cup / Taylor Swift) I’ll definitely try to stay at the Cambie Downtown Hostel again!!!

Cambio have two downtown locations. The trainstation is a block or two away. Bus line outside. Everything is right there. Exceptional cleaniness.Two bars downstairs. Know this: the rooms are small. Very nice staff. I stayed for 2 days and am happy. I came in from Sweden

My private room was adequate. shared bathroom and kitchen was clean and tidy. Location is superb as its right down town close to the waterfront, train station, skytrain, cruise ship terminal etc. I would stay again

Very handy location in Vancouver, 10-15min walk to Canada Place & train station, Gastown, etc. Rooms & bathroom were kept very clean & you can do your laundry from 4pm to midnight daily (so housekeeping staff can do necessary laundry first). Bunk bed was comfortable, plenty of local food outlets available until late & the bar downstairs has something on every night. That can get a bit noisy with karaoke, etc echoing thru the building, but not a huge issue. Enjoyed my stay 4 days & would recommend!

The location for downtown is fantastic, my room facing the street was loud a night from the bar below and street noise. The kitchen/ lounge was fantastic, lots of room for food and complete kitchen to cook in and friendly atmosphere to meet new friends. The bathrooms were very clean and the showers were hot and spacious. The bunkers were comfortable for bunk bed and the bedding was fine. The security storage under the bed fit my open carry on bag and other personal items. I purchased a lock they offered for $10 and felt very secure with my belongings. The security was excellent and the staff very helpful. I checked out and left my bags in a secure space until 5 pm.

En general me parece que precio calidad vale la pena... Pero importante que el establecimiento dijera que los fines de semana si te toca en el piso 1, es probable que vayas a oír ruidos del bar. A mí no me incómodo pero estoy seguro que a otra persona podría ser que si. El tema de la habitación bien con lo justo solo el detalle que la distribución de contactos para cargar el móvil es bastante escasa. Dan un descuento bastante bueno para un desayuno o comida.

Great staff… comfy room, stayed in the Seymour suite and it was lovely… clean… shared bathroom looked brand new… super clean… attached pub had awesome food… was a quick walk up the street from the waterfront station at the end of the Airport Canada line and pretty short walk to the cruise port. Great value!

Die Lage ist wirklich Top und das Hostel selbst hat uns sehr überzeugt. Es ist durch den Verkehr leider etwas laut, aber das geht halt in der Lage nicht anders. Die Sanitäranlagen waren sehr sauber und haben mich überrascht - wirklich top. Gut ist auch der Pub unter dem Hostel. Wir würden ohne zu zögern wieder buchen.

Great location. First time staying @ a hostel! Felt very safe. Secure. Restaurant Dining available. Very good. Reasonable. Front desk employees very attentive. Pleasant experience overall! I would definitely stay there again.

I'm disappointed with my whole experience, it's a place that has a strong smell of Urinal deodorizer, even outside the washroom, they have them everywhere to hide the bad odor in the whole hostel, where they don't have those deodorizer smells humid and sweat, pretty gross. The floor is all wood and it's old and humid. I also saw a couple of mice in the kitchen. Not recommended at all

While we knew this was a hostel, we didn't expect our room to have holes in the walls, a window that needed a piece of wood to keep it from closing, or plastic stools serving as a table. The room didn't have air conditioning, so it was hot in the afternoons. In addition, it faced the street, which was quite noisy. The bathrooms were okay, but the sinks were very small. As a result, water constantly splashed onto the counter and the floor. People tried not to get the surfaces wet, but it was difficult to avoid.

Partially on me because I didn’t realize this was a hostel when I paid nearly 300 dollars to stay overnight, but why on earth would a hostel cost this much? The management wasn’t exactly friendly, the bathroom was no where near the room. Included in a long list of rules were stripping linens (for 300 a night??). Skip this and spent 100 more for a hotel.
