Nasama Resort was an amazing place to stay! There were two restaurants on site that had great tasting and yet starkly different food on offer. The location was only 10 minutes from town by bus. The infinity pool had a great view of the small swimming/snorkling spot exclusive to the resort. There were kayaks and snorkelling equipment available to use free of charge. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

I stayed with my adult children we found the resort fabulous it is a little dated not new but functional and very comfortable with large bedrooms with kitchen which we cooked some of our meals in, great shower and comfortable bed, you have you own private porch or balcony if upstairs, the staff are just lovely from front reception to the cleaning crew, all love a chat and are genuine and ready to help with anything. There are games, books, kayaks, reef shoes and snorkel equipment available and a lovely small sea pool and lots of small rocky pools to explore, and also a lovely salt water pool that’s deep and a kids pool also, it is definitely somewhere I would gladly return to and recommend to friends and family not to big so peaceful. There are plenty of drivers available to take you anywhere you want to go at the local going rate you can walk to the large supermarket takes about 35mins just watch the traffic.

Very laid back relaxing resort. Friendly staff, good food at the two restaurants. Stunning view. Beach small, but pool big enough. Snorkelling not spectacular, but still fun. More for adults as hardly any small children amenities.

Very out to see from the Balcony was lovely, and great breakfast, plus choice of two restaurants. Unfortunately, we had heavy rain as we arrived and made everything very wet and water logged, including lots of water in the room which was quickly removed. Just needs some attention such as pathways are sandy gravel rather than paved, very difficult to get around in the wet. Fine for the price.

It was good to have a kitchen and buy fruit and vegetables at the markets. Easy to catch a bus into town. The two restaurants catered for all tastes and cafe vila had quality food and a good chef. Good location out of Port vila. Staff very friendly, kind and very helpful. Room spacious with prime and youtube on the television. Nice pool and small beach to snorkle in.

I had a good time at the hotel. Staff is welcoming, discreet and smily. The food was good and some original. Everybody are trying to do their very best to ensure you feel good. Open and care... Choice on breakfast is just amazing, you will certainly find your besty and, it's included. There's a BBQ area outside, charming and impeccable. The pool is a good addition to the general feeling. Overall, it's been a good place to stay!

The resort is a bit old. But clean! I would like to suggest, if you can provide an umbrella to your guest upon arrival. And they can give it back to you when they check out. As your restaurants are all the way in the front of the property. And for rainy days all your guests where wet in the rain.

Breakfast was fantastic as was the one dinner we had at Cafe Vila. I wish we’d had more dinners there. The pool and resort in general are lovely and very well kept. A few things were broken/needed some TLC in the apartment but it didn’t really affect our stay. I would love to return one day!

Bathrooms inadequate eg no soap holder/s in shower; meals extremely limited and very expensive; not enough facilities eg no toilet near pool; gardens not cared for; fixtures not serviced eg light switch gave me shocks until it was replaced. Cleaning basic but adequate except for corners that were grimy. Manager lurking in both restaurants was intimidating. Prices of meals were raised but the menus had not been changed. Transport to town was in very dirty vans that rattled and bumped all the way. In Port Vila we were ripped off at a couple of places eg overcharged by more than $10 over 5 items at the main supermarket. Fortunately I noticed but wonder how many others would not have noticed for such a small shopping list.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, the house girls were fantastic, the chef was amazing and as for the hotel manager, nothing was too much trouble. They really looked after everyone. Amazing staff. Ten out of ten Only issue was a couple of cyclones. But as I said staff took great care of us. Also met the owner, paul was a cool guy. Very down to earth and genuine caring guy. 100% recommend this place for relaxation and recovery.

Room need airing out as it had a musky smell. area around the room patio was full of dead leaves from the trees, hadn't been racked during our week there. However, the food and service at Vila Cafe and the 3 pigs are to die for, excellent, the best. If these thigs i have listed were done prior to customer arriving it would be more impressive

The 2 bedroom apartments were spacious, with a large kitchen including full size fridge, oven, stove & microwave. All rooms are adjacent to the to pool. The rooms were clean & staff helpful & friendly. The location is accessible by local buses. The snorkeling out the front of Nasama was my favourite part.

Loved our 9 nights here. Stayed in a beach view studio room. It was huge. Great kitchen with enough to cook up sausages in a fry pan and cook some 2 minute noodles or macaroni (stovetop and microwave). Full size fridge too. The housekeeping was second to none, those ladies are working around the clock to sweep and mop each room daily. My room was always made up perfectly. Breakfast had heaps of choices but my son preferred to eat in our room so we had toast on half the mornings in our room! 3pigs for dinner was great too, my son is still talking about taco Tuesday. Pool area is nice and quiet, no service or music around the pool which we liked, very tranquil. Was quite cold, so my son wore his wetsuit - but it was great when the sun was out. If you have little ones you may want to bring your own life jacket as the pool is pretty deep. The kids pool is about 30cm deep so my 4 year old didn’t like that- great for babies. The beach area, we loved exploring the rocks and coral. Saw starfish, and snorkelled in that cut out and saw a few fish which was cool. Heaps of hermit crabs on the sand/rocks area. We stayed in room 111 which is on the right side if you are Looking at the ocean. On the opposite side it backs onto the village and the church proceedings on a Sat and Sunday were pretty loud, but from our side we could hardly hear it. Great place to base yourself to do touring and have some chill quiet days. Would stay again.

The room is decent except for a few issues 1) no shower curtain or door in the shower so water goes everywhere, 2)the doors to the balcony are ‘thin’ therefore; you get a lot of noise (wind and ocean) and 3)there’s a large ‘shade’ to pull down between the bedroom and the rest of the room however; it doesn’t block light or noise. Not sure the purpose of it. While it is called a resort it really isn’t resort like at all. Breakfast takes forever and the staff aren’t attentive. The main office staff don’t really care about customer service. They don’t communicate when there are issues with your room, nor do they care that they don’t securely store credit card info and then get mad if you have a balance.

If I could give 6 stars, I would! Nasama Resort is the most relaxing experience you can have in Vanuatu. The location is perfect – quiet, right on the ocean, with a beautiful pool and the chance to snorkel directly from the beach. The studios are spacious, well equipped, and very comfortable. The little details stand out too – amazing shower pressure, plenty of hot water, and a strong internet connection (which can be rare on the islands!). There are two restaurants on-site, buses to the city are frequent, and there’s even a convenience store right across the road. Everything you need is within easy reach. What makes it truly special, though, is the staff. Every single person we met was warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Highly recommended – we will definitely be back!

The 2 bedroom apartments were spacious, with a large kitchen including full size fridge, oven, stove & microwave. All rooms are adjacent to the to pool. The rooms were clean & staff helpful & friendly. The location is accessible by local buses. The snorkeling out the front of Nasama was my favourite part.

Loved our 9 nights here. Stayed in a beach view studio room. It was huge. Great kitchen with enough to cook up sausages in a fry pan and cook some 2 minute noodles or macaroni (stovetop and microwave). Full size fridge too. The housekeeping was second to none, those ladies are working around the clock to sweep and mop each room daily. My room was always made up perfectly. Breakfast had heaps of choices but my son preferred to eat in our room so we had toast on half the mornings in our room! 3pigs for dinner was great too, my son is still talking about taco Tuesday. Pool area is nice and quiet, no service or music around the pool which we liked, very tranquil. Was quite cold, so my son wore his wetsuit - but it was great when the sun was out. If you have little ones you may want to bring your own life jacket as the pool is pretty deep. The kids pool is about 30cm deep so my 4 year old didn’t like that- great for babies. The beach area, we loved exploring the rocks and coral. Saw starfish, and snorkelled in that cut out and saw a few fish which was cool. Heaps of hermit crabs on the sand/rocks area. We stayed in room 111 which is on the right side if you are Looking at the ocean. On the opposite side it backs onto the village and the church proceedings on a Sat and Sunday were pretty loud, but from our side we could hardly hear it. Great place to base yourself to do touring and have some chill quiet days. Would stay again.

The room is decent except for a few issues 1) no shower curtain or door in the shower so water goes everywhere, 2)the doors to the balcony are ‘thin’ therefore; you get a lot of noise (wind and ocean) and 3)there’s a large ‘shade’ to pull down between the bedroom and the rest of the room however; it doesn’t block light or noise. Not sure the purpose of it. While it is called a resort it really isn’t resort like at all. Breakfast takes forever and the staff aren’t attentive. The main office staff don’t really care about customer service. They don’t communicate when there are issues with your room, nor do they care that they don’t securely store credit card info and then get mad if you have a balance.

Great short stroll to pool, beach, not overlooked by others. Staff amazing!!!! Chef cooked our caught fish and was the best fish ever ate. Staff very helpful. Few issues with external tour operators and miss communication from reception staff. Not telling us tour was cancelled until we were waiting for pickup yet they admitted to receiving call 2hrs earlier. But all ok.... happens like that .

The room was very spacious with all that was required, only suggestion would be to have an inside table to eat food cooked in the room. Food options great, only downside was the service in Cafe Vila was very slow and occasionally at times in the three pigs as well. Libby in Cafe Vila was great and was always quick serving and checking we and other were good

The location of the property is beautiful with ocean views and fantastic rooms . Staff are so friendly and the onsite restaurant serves excellent meals. You can pick up transport from the front to go into town or hire a car and drive around the island yourself and explore. Definitely will be booking again on your return trip back next time .

If I could give 6 stars, I would! Nasama Resort is the most relaxing experience you can have in Vanuatu. The location is perfect – quiet, right on the ocean, with a beautiful pool and the chance to snorkel directly from the beach. The studios are spacious, well equipped, and very comfortable. The little details stand out too – amazing shower pressure, plenty of hot water, and a strong internet connection (which can be rare on the islands!). There are two restaurants on-site, buses to the city are frequent, and there’s even a convenience store right across the road. Everything you need is within easy reach. What makes it truly special, though, is the staff. Every single person we met was warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Highly recommended – we will definitely be back!

It is very hard to provide a feasible review, due to the last couple of years with Covid that has impacted world wide. The resort itself was adequate the lack of dining through the day was disappointing. The room was only serviced when we approached staff and then they still at times did not service the room. The staff were all very friendly - however due to location of the property with the access down about a kilometre of potholes on the road was appaling, although that has nothing do with Nasama.Should we venture back to Vanuatu I would be looking for a different location. The restaraunt was fine the food was good, just their lack of being able to get a drink or food through the day was disappointing, but once again Covid has ravaged all tourist spots throughout the world.

I stayed with my adult children we found the resort fabulous it is a little dated not new but functional and very comfortable with large bedrooms with kitchen which we cooked some of our meals in, great shower and comfortable bed, you have you own private porch or balcony if upstairs, the staff are just lovely from front reception to the cleaning crew, all love a chat and are genuine and ready to help with anything. There are games, books, kayaks, reef shoes and snorkel equipment available and a lovely small sea pool and lots of small rocky pools to explore, and also a lovely salt water pool that’s deep and a kids pool also, it is definitely somewhere I would gladly return to and recommend to friends and family not to big so peaceful. There are plenty of drivers available to take you anywhere you want to go at the local going rate you can walk to the large supermarket takes about 35mins just watch the traffic.

Had a great stay for 9 days during July 2025. Nasama was fantastic, far enough from Port Vila to be quiet but still close enough to travel into town by minibus (~10min ride). Will definitely come back in the future.

Enjoyed our stay at this resort and were very happy with our decision to stay here over several other resorts we had considered. The resort is a short drive of about 10 minutes from 'downtown' Port Vila and it was very quiet. The included breakfast at Cafe Vila was good every morning. We had dinner there several times too and were overall impressed with the quality of the food. The beach at the resort itself isn't much to talk about, but the snorkelling off the beach on the reef was lovwly and I prefer that anyways. Some things are a bit dated and hopefully you don't have an issue with ants and a few other things creeping about (standard for a tropical island)! The resort amenities are pretty simple but it was all fine for us. Overall really enjoyed our stay at Nasama.

It was good to have a kitchen and buy fruit and vegetables at the markets. Easy to catch a bus into town. The two restaurants catered for all tastes and cafe vila had quality food and a good chef. Good location out of Port vila. Staff very friendly, kind and very helpful. Room spacious with prime and youtube on the television. Nice pool and small beach to snorkle in.

I had a good time at the hotel. Staff is welcoming, discreet and smily. The food was good and some original. Everybody are trying to do their very best to ensure you feel good. Open and care... Choice on breakfast is just amazing, you will certainly find your besty and, it's included. There's a BBQ area outside, charming and impeccable. The pool is a good addition to the general feeling. Overall, it's been a good place to stay!

Room was exactly as advertised. Our oceanfront room was spacious and clean. The balcony was large and had amazing views. The cleaning staff were friendly and kind. The restaurants on site did great food and easily catered for our dairy allergy. The pool was cold, but the seawater was lovely. Front desk staff weren't super helpful with giving us info on snorkelling spots and how to get there. Front desk staff did sort us out with horseriding which was great. I would stay here again.

This is a great place to stay with a family. It is quiet, safe, and friendly. We loved the pool overlooking the sea and snorkelling/spotting sea creatures in the reef in front of the hotel. We paid a bit extra for a beach view but I think all the rooms would have a nice view as it’s quite small. The provided breakfast at Cafe Vila is excellent. It is close to the Port Vila and a very short and easy bus journey to get there. Pick up for activities is super easy. I highly recommend booking a massage (or two!) at the seafront spot where staff from Volcanic Earth spa can be booked onsite. The view is to die for and easily the best massage I’ve ever had. I’d also recommend packing reef shoes and snorkelling gear if you have them. One thing to be aware of is there is no long ‘sandy’ beach for walking on. I think this is similar to most places in Vanuatu where there is lots of reef, but coming from NZ where I’m used to beach walking it was something I hadn’t planned for/thought of.

Nasama Resort was very good value as the room we had (Ocean View 1 Bed) was spacious with a walk in robe area great for storing your luggage etc, well out of your way. The rooms can be a little dated but are clean, also the dedicated friendly staff are always around and always willing to assist. An excellent choice of Breakfast is often included and Nasama has 2 of Vanuatu's best rated restaurants on site, 3 pigs and Cafe Villa. We did have an issue with our room during our stay dues to strong trade winds and a storm, but the staff and maintenance staff worked quickly as soon as it was safe to resolve all issues. We did stay in June which is said to be a time for the best weather, how ever Trade Winds can sometimes be an issue between May and October which may make using your balcony on the Ocean view rooms as we had unusable or unpleasant at times. The Studio or 2 bedroom suites may be more sheltered in these times. We certainly would not hesitate to stay at Nasama again.

We did stay in June which is said to be a time for the best weather, how ever Trade Winds can sometimes be an issue between May and October which may make using your balcony on the Ocean view rooms as we had unusable or unpleasant at times. The Studio or 2 bedroom suites may be more sheltered in these times. We certainly would not hesitate to stay at Nasama again.
