Honestly the host Alex looked after my every need. It wasn't like a typical bed and breakfast you find at the seaside. You are on a self catering basis where you can either share his extensive supplies as well as purchasing your own. The fully fitted modern kitchen and dining room are at your disposal anytime day or night plus a comfortable lounge to relax in at your leisure with books and the use of your own private sun patio outside the bedroom. The rooms are serviced daily but I chose the option of saying no to this as it was only me staying for a few days. The totally refurbished Georgian house is beautifully situated close to all local shops, restaurants and visitor attractions also being close at the foot of the magnificent Dover castle. A thoroughly enjoyable short stay, I recommend Churchill guest house to anyone. Well done to Alex and his family thank you for making my stay special. Regards Martin Gildea.

We only booked the night before our stay but Alex was great with his communication. He was very accommodating with parking. Our room was available early so we checked in early. The room was clean & comfortable. Nice idea of the help yourself breakfast in a very clean & well equipped communal kitchen. We enjoyed our one night stay very much.

The owner/manager was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. The house is attractively decorated and comfortable. A guest house, fridges, kitchen/dining room, ( separate from breakfast room ) , sitting room, bookcase are all available.House is three floors, on hill to the very enjoyable Dover Castle.

We had a great stay. The building is well maintained and the decor was representative of the period that the building was built in. The host was friendly and helpful. They had a refrigerator in the sitting room next to our bedroom that we could use. They also had adapters in case you forgot to bring to convert your American plugs to fit British outlets. The location was excellent being close to downtown, restaurants and markets. It is also just a short walk uphill to Dover Castle.

Lovely family run hotel near the seaside and town center. We stayed in the Sarah apartments which were a self contained unit with complete kitchen. This was important to us as our daughter can not eat anything containing gluten. The bedding was natural, feathered and thick. The rooms had fresh air and were warm. The owners were excellent hosts. The location was close to pubs, restaurants, shops and bars.

Clear instructions for self check in meant that I could arrive when I wanted without causing inconvenience to the host. Alex came to see me when I had settled in and showed me where everything was. Excellent choice for a self serve continental style breakfast with a fully stocked kitchen and fridge. Really made the end of my trip to UK very relaxing before the long journey ahead through France. Thank you.

This is a beautiful hotel with tons of charm. Our room was on the top floor and was roomy and had a nice bathroom. Bottled filtered water was provided with additional available in a mini-fridge in the hallway. We didn't take advantage of this option but saw that the shared kitchen was nicely stocked with all the fixings for making breakfast. The location is a quick walk to the downtown area where you can find restaurants and pubs. The oldest pub in Dover is right around the corner. All in all the hotel was charming, clean and comfortable. Alex, the host, was friendly and very helpful in navigating a path to the back entry of Dover Castle. Churchill Guest House is a great option and everyone on a cruise should come to town a day early to take advantage of all Dover has to offer.

Lovely guest home. Received communication from the host prior to arrival with instructions for accessing and request for taxi transportation on departure. I really enjoyed my stay, the place was clean ,the bed was comfy and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. He even drove us to the port after waiting for our taxi for a while.He even took time to look for my prescription glasses and brought it back to the port for me. The breakfast was included and there was a lot of choices with fresh fruits too!

This was the most attentive and beautiful guest house I have ever stayed in. The owner is so kind and accommodating, and the room and common areas are impeccable and unique. The Victoria King room truly has its own private sunroom and terrace. I almost didn't want to leave the guest house to see the sights because the room is so comfortable and beautiful. The kitchen amenities are great and there are grocery stores within 3 minutes by foot. I met wonderful and kind guests and even made friends. I am so glad to have found this guest house and would love to return.

We stayed in the downstairs apartment with three beds - it was great for the three of us. Nicely decorated. Comfortable beds and linen. Great bathroom. Only downside was noise as we were in the substreet level and single panes windows. We also thought we were getting a cooked breakfast so we’re a wee bit disappointed to have to make our own with cereal, etc. this was my own fault as I neglected to read the fine print re the self contained apartment not getting breakfast. All in all, I’d stay there again in a minute! Great location!

Very comfortable room with updated bathroom and atrium. Everything you might need was available. Extra Large plush bath towels, bed and pillows. Location fantastic too; shopping, Dover Cliffs and Castle. Regret we only had one night. Would definitely recommend and use again.

The property was very nice. Attention to detail except for lighting in the room which was surprisingly cold. Although all the ingredients were there for breakfast, we felt it was a little overpriced for having to sort our own breakfast. But lovely space

Alex is an amazing host! He greeted us,openly, even though we were a little early. Alex was very helpful wit h answering all of our questions. We did not view any other rooms, but in our opinion, our room had to be the best. We had the Victoria room, which had tall ceilings, a spacious bathroom, a sitting area as well of the sunroom with a view of the garden. The tray of tea and cookies was a particularly charming touch. We would highly recommend staying at the Churchill House.

We were warmly welcomed by our host and were shown all of the kitchen amenities, common areas, and then our room. Our room was beautiful and elegant, and we had our own ensuite bathroom. It is conveniently located close to the Port of Dover (if you're taking the ferry). My only recommendation would be to add a foam topper to the bed for extra comfort... the bed was VERY hard and we both woke up stiff the next morning. Other than the bed, it was a beautiful stay.

We were warmly welcomed by our host and were shown all of the kitchen amenities, common areas, and then our room. Our room was beautiful and elegant, and we had our own ensuite bathroom. It is conveniently located close to the Port of Dover (if you're taking the ferry). My only recommendation would be to add a foam topper to the bed for extra comfort... the bed was VERY hard and we both woke up stiff the next morning. Other than the bed, it was a beautiful stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Churchill Guesthouse! We stayed in the Victoria Room, which features a charming little enclosed garden room off to the side. The decor was lovely, the bed was incredibly soft and comfortable, and we had the best night’s sleep listening to the rain. Alex greeted us upon arrival and was so welcoming, helpful, and knowledgeable about the area, he even helped us with our luggage. We truly wish we could’ve stayed longer. Highly recommend staying here!

Spacious room. Comfortable bed. Stylish decoration. Checkin was very smooth. Alex greeted us at the door. Convenient location - a few minutes walk to the castle. The road outside was a bit noisy but turned quiet at night when the traffic died out. Overall a very good stay.

This couldn't have been a better experience. We wanted a quaint B&B experience and got more than we could have hoped for. The service was personal, welcoming, and gracious. The innkeeper helped with our luggage and even set up a cab for us the next day for our departure. We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay.

Alex was there to greet us and help us with our bags up the stairs. There was breakfast essentials for us to use in the shared kitchen. He also took the time to tell us about the area and directions on where to go. Would definitely stay here again the next time we are in Dover!

Clear instructions for self check in meant that I could arrive when I wanted without causing inconvenience to the host. Alex came to see me when I had settled in and showed me where everything was. Excellent choice for a self serve continental style breakfast with a fully stocked kitchen and fridge. Really made the end of my trip to UK very relaxing before the long journey ahead through France. Thank you.

This property was easy to find and a perfect location. Shopping and restaurants were nearby and Alex, owner, made some great recommendations. He met us outside as we pulled up and helped with the luggage. He was available to help throughout our stay and reserved a ride for us when it was time to leave. I would definitely stay here again.

Property owner is extremely helpful and takes great care to make sure you are comfortable, informed, and will arrange taxi service for you, too. Room and facility is well maintained, quiet, and was within walking distance for us to the white cliffs, Dover Castle, eateries, etc. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay. The building is well maintained and the decor was representative of the period that the building was built in. The host was friendly and helpful. They had a refrigerator in the sitting room next to our bedroom that we could use. They also had adapters in case you forgot to bring to convert your American plugs to fit British outlets. The location was excellent being close to downtown, restaurants and markets. It is also just a short walk uphill to Dover Castle.

Great spot and great location. The host, Alex, is super accommodating and welcoming. Got us a cab to the white cliffs. Rooms and bathrooms are very spacious. Within walking distance of everything. Only a 10-15 minute walk to the castle. Great restaurant 2 buildings away. The perfect stay!

This is a beautiful hotel with tons of charm. Our room was on the top floor and was roomy and had a nice bathroom. Bottled filtered water was provided with additional available in a mini-fridge in the hallway. We didn't take advantage of this option but saw that the shared kitchen was nicely stocked with all the fixings for making breakfast. The location is a quick walk to the downtown area where you can find restaurants and pubs. The oldest pub in Dover is right around the corner. All in all the hotel was charming, clean and comfortable. Alex, the host, was friendly and very helpful in navigating a path to the back entry of Dover Castle. Churchill Guest House is a great option and everyone on a cruise should come to town a day early to take advantage of all Dover has to offer.

My stay at the Churchill Guest House was wonderful! The owner was very friendly, informative, and helpful, with a lot of tips on what to see and do in the area. The room was quite comfortable, and the shared kitchen area had everything you needed for a great breakfast and all the items needed to prepare food for yourself at other times! If I could give it 6 STARS, I definitely would!!

We stayed in the downstairs apartment with three beds - it was great for the three of us. Nicely decorated. Comfortable beds and linen. Great bathroom. Only downside was noise as we were in the substreet level and single panes windows. We also thought we were getting a cooked breakfast so we’re a wee bit disappointed to have to make our own with cereal, etc. this was my own fault as I neglected to read the fine print re the self contained apartment not getting breakfast. All in all, I’d stay there again in a minute! Great location!

I really enjoyed my stay, the place was clean ,the bed was comfy and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. He even drove us to the port after waiting for our taxi for a while.He even took time to look for my prescription glasses and brought it back to the port for me. The breakfast was included and there was a lot of choices with fresh fruits too!

The property was very nice. Attention to detail except for lighting in the room which was surprisingly cold. Although all the ingredients were there for breakfast, we felt it was a little overpriced for having to sort our own breakfast. But lovely space

We only booked the night before our stay but Alex was great with his communication. He was very accommodating with parking. Our room was available early so we checked in early. The room was clean & comfortable. Nice idea of the help yourself breakfast in a very clean & well equipped communal kitchen. We enjoyed our one night stay very much.

Alex was fantastic! Helped w/everything from restaurant for dinner, sights to visit! Churchill House was wonderful.. nice ensuite w/ amenities including robes, etc. Breakfast was made to.. our omelet delicious, croissants baked fresh, fruit.. yum! Alex took us to port as all taxi we’re booked ! Stay at Churchill House in Dover!

The host Alex is a great all around person. He greeted me and walked the property with me. In addition, he provided me with great information about the Dover Castle and how to reach it. The castle is conveniently located a 20 minute uphill walk from the house. Another great convenient item is the Train station is an easy 20 minute walk through the city center. I highly recommend the Church Hill House. Also, Alex cooks a great breakfast.

What an amazing place! The decor was beautiful and everything was so clean. My room was lovely and felt very comfortable, and the great location made exploring easy. I was also impressed by how fully stocked and spotless the kitchen was. Alex was a wonderful host who made me feel so welcome.

Absolutely loved the Churchill House, Room was clean and modern, this is a very old structure but very well done. Location was awesome in the middle of Dover. Alot to do very close to Dover Castle and Canterbury. Highly recommend staying here. kitchen well stocked, we enjoyed our two-night stay prior to our cruise. host was exceptional very accommodating and arranged a last-minute taxi to the ship. very well done

Churchill Guest House was the best first impression we had of the UK. After a long series of flights and delays coming into the home being greeted, (and insisted that they have our bags regardless how heavy they were). We couldnt have asked for a better stay. Alex set us up with a taxi to get to the cruise port, and was so helpful. Honestly if we come by Dover to stay again we'll be back here. We loved the property as well it was so cute and inviting.
