Excellent welcoming by Maria & with a drink. Great facilities & breakfast. By taxi, close to Madrid - Puerta de Atocha railway station or by walking if not carrying heavy luggage. Close to some main attractions, including the night bus tour.

The staff was lovely. Close to a 24hr Carrefour. 24hr free coffee in the dining space offered a nice place to mingle and connect with other guests. The breakfast was a nice mix of cereals, milk, yogurt, nuts, Spanish omelet (eggs and potato), pastries, bottled juice. My travel buddy couldn’t make it and they graciously took extra effort to work with Expedia to credit.

The Artrip is a nice simpler option for those not needing lots of hotel amenities (gym, bar/restaurant, pool, etc.). The location is a couple blocks from a Metro stop, which is the best way to get around Madrid, and has many choices around it for a morning cafe/snack or other eating/drinking needs. The staff are very helpful and friendly, the rooms are comfortable and clean and surprisingly quiet with the windows and shuttler closed at night, as it's on a busy street which is loud with them open. We enjoyed our stay here and would consider staying again if we returned to Madrid.

This was an excellent stay not only in Madrid rather my best pick for roughly the entire month we spent in Spain. Great location to all major sites that we wanted to visit and they were a lot. All walking distance which is a great! personal choice. Many restaurants and shopping including fruits stores and supermarkets great location indeed. Very Clean and management is very considerate they offer free water and coffee and trust me you need to drink lots of water after all the walking. What made this hotel exceptional our mind the friendliness of the staff members, as every other hotel the are pleasant. But, without a doubt we were received by the most kind and super nice receptionest that we never came across in all our hotel visits ever. Helena is without a doubt a difference maker. Her professional attitude and the way she spoke fluently in english and her calmness wow. We believe she is the greatest asset Artrip has. Had I known I would have stayed all the Madrid vacation on at Artrip. Wow indeed !!! Thanks Lena for everything wishing you all the best in your future. We hope you realize all your dreams. We did not have a chance to have breakfast , we left too early but coffee was always available. They upgraded us to a suite at no extra cost . The staff was really friendly and helpful . The area is a vibrant fun area for young crowds yet the hotel is quiet . Super easy to walk to all areas of interest and very easy to find a taxi, and other types of public transport . Highly recommend .

Good location to walk to train station and attractions. Very friendly front desk staff and a nice welcome glass of sparkling wine at check in at this small hotel. A clean, modern room with balcony and twin beds made up as one bed instead of two was a nice touch, as was the teapot and bottled water. Small, but adequate breakfast. We enjoyed our stay at Artrip.

Lovely. The room was beautiful, clearly a lot of attention went into designing it. It was thoughtfully done. The staff were enthusiastic and very accommodating. The lobby area and hallways are small so watch out if you have big pieces of luggage. Very close to the train station. A market very close by. Just a great little place.

Lovely hotel. Simple buy some Luxury touches. We had a Jr suite and it was a very good size. 24hr coffee machine in dining area with free coffee, tea and biscuits and wine in the afternoon. Would absolutely recommend it. We found a huge range of non touristy restaurants within a ten minute walk.

Es un hotel pequeño muy lindo ubicado en el barrio de Lavapies, muy cerca de las principales atracciones turísticas y aúna estación del metro de Sol. Es un edificio remodelado muy bonito. El personal es muy amable y están atentos a cada necesidad. La habitación es muy limpia, de buena amplitud y luminosa. Pasamos unos días agradables a pesar de que el clima de Madrid ha sido hostil, mucho viento y lluvia. Hay un desayuno buffet agradable, con fruta, tortilla española, jamones, pan dulce, avenas, pan salado, jugos y cafés. Sencillo pero muy completo para iniciar el día. La regadera (ducha) tiene buena presión. La temperatura es correcta. Hacen limpieza diaria. En fin que lo recomiendo mucho.

Great stay at Artrip. Room was spacious for two single travelers. Bathroom was clean. Breakfast was so so compared to other hotels we stayed in Europe. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We would stay here again. Reasonably priced for the hotel.

No frills hotel. Perfect neighborhood near Atocha train station. We felt safe walking around. The beds were comfortable and staff were friendly. I would come back to this place! As for the hotel itself, if you are sensitive to sounds, just bring ear plugs. Walls are paper thin but the guests around us were not loud.

Un hotel muy buen para vivir unos dias en el centro de Madrid cerca de los museos y Sol. La habitación estuvo muy espacia y tuvo todos los cosas importantes - la tele, lo frigorífico, hervidor eléctrico. El aire condicionado estuvo perfecto. Este hotel está muy bueno por hotel de 2 estrellas. Debe ser mínimo 3 estrellas ))

We enjoyed our stay at the Artrip Hotel. The room was modern, minimalist and immaculately clean. Note that the bathroom wasn't separate; there were doors to the shower and the toilet from the entrance area and the wash-basin was in the entrance. The open plan nature of the room made it feel bigger and the lack of a separate bathroom didn't bother us at all. The hotel is in the Lavapies area which is lively, trendy and a bit bohemian so a little bit "grungier" than some areas of Madrid while still feeling quite safe. There are lots of coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance. Most of the touristy parts are within 20-30 minutes walking distance so the position is great.

Location was handy to train station. Heating/AC was inconsistent and apparently controlled by front desk . Room large enough but the bathroom was incorporated into it so no privacy.

Great hotel in an ideal location walking distance to the wonderful museums of Madrid. Loved our spacious room overlooking a charming street, complete with classic Madrid balcony. Very comfortable bed and great shower (most important things, always). Paloma at the front desk went above and beyond to make our stay lovely with a genuineness that isn't often found. We also met the proprietor on our way out, who was lovely and friendly as well. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

L’accueil et le petit déjeuner sont très bien. Par contre la chambre était vraiment mal aménagée, les divisions , la douche dans un petit passage qui sert aussi de salon. Chambre qui donne sur la rue très bruyante.

From checkin to check out, everything was closely attended to. Details about the hotel and surroundings, revmcommendations and assistance were provided with warmth, professionalism and willingness. It was so welcoming.

Pasamos unos días agradables a pesar de que el clima de Madrid ha sido hostil, mucho viento y lluvia. La regadera (ducha) tiene buena presión. La temperatura es correcta. Hacen limpieza diaria. En fin que lo recomiendo mucho.

We did not have a chance to have breakfast , we left too early but coffee was always available. They upgraded us to a suite at no extra cost . The staff was really friendly and helpful . The area is a vibrant fun area for young crowds yet the hotel is quiet . Super easy to walk to all areas of interest and very easy to find a taxi, and other types of public transport . Highly recommend .

Tiny hotel in a great location. Like many European boutique hotels, the Artrip is deceptively plain on the outside, but the inside is very nice. The room was spacious and well organized. Most importantly, the staff was extremely helpful.

Great hotel in an ideal location walking distance to the wonderful museums of Madrid. Loved our spacious room overlooking a charming street, complete with classic Madrid balcony. Very comfortable bed and great shower (most important things, always). Paloma at the front desk went above and beyond to make our stay lovely with a genuineness that isn't often found. We also met the proprietor on our way out, who was lovely and friendly as well. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again!

We found this hotel to a really nice oasis in busy Madrid. It is a boutique hotel and not fancy. If you need a five star place, this may not be the place for you. The Artrip is a nice simpler option for those not needing lots of hotel amenities (gym, bar/restaurant, pool, etc.). The location is a couple blocks from a Metro stop, which is the best way to get around Madrid, and has many choices around it for a morning cafe/snack or other eating/drinking needs. The staff are very helpful and friendly, the rooms are comfortable and clean and surprisingly quiet with the windows and shuttler closed at night, as it's on a busy street which is loud with them open. We enjoyed our stay here and would consider staying again if we returned to Madrid.

We enjoyed our stay at the Artrip Hotel. The room was modern, minimalist and immaculately clean. Note that the bathroom wasn't separate; there were doors to the shower and the toilet from the entrance area and the wash-basin was in the entrance. The open plan nature of the room made it feel bigger and the lack of a separate bathroom didn't bother us at all. The hotel is in the Lavapies area which is lively, trendy and a bit bohemian so a little bit "grungier" than some areas of Madrid while still feeling quite safe. There are lots of coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance. Most of the touristy parts are within 20-30 minutes walking distance so the position is great.

The staff was lovely. Close to a 24hr Carrefour. 24hr free coffee in the dining space offered a nice place to mingle and connect with other guests. The breakfast was a nice mix of cereals, milk, yogurt, nuts, Spanish omelet (eggs and potato), pastries, bottled juice. My travel buddy couldn’t make it and they graciously took extra effort to work with Expedia to credit.

My stay in Madrid was truly wonderful. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, offering great recommendations for sights to see and places to visit. We had a wonderful stay at the Artrip Hotel. The staff were very welcoming and helpful - especially after our arrival from a long flight. The location is great, nestled in a historic neighbourhood and is close to art galleries and many excellent small restaurants. The walking trip brochure produced by the hotel had many great tips and added to our happy experiences! We hope to come back!
