Corran House is a very basic establishment at the north end of the downtown. The rooms are average, but comfortable. There is no lift, so you'll have to carry luggage up to your room. We did not take the breakfast as it was priced ala carte for pretty standard packaged muffins and items and honestly, guests are asked to wash their own crockery and utensils. We went to a coffee shop in town. There are two adjoining buildings and we were not in the one over Markie Dans so no complaints about noise. The carpark is literally right next door to the buildings and only 1 pound per hour so very reasonable (and free after 6pm and before 9pm). we were able to walk along the esplanade or main shopping street in 10-15 minutes through the town with no problems, and it's a very pleasant walk.

Convenient location, the room was very clean and had everything we needed. Loved the honesty box self service breakfast system in the guest kitchen, again it was spotless. We ate at the attached pub and enjoyed some fantastic live music. Food was great and hotel guests get a 10% discount. Cannot fault it!

The property was clean and well kept, the area was very walkable with easy overnight parking next door (paid, but very reasonably priced), and the pub in the same building was convenient with great food and drink options. Would go back and stay again!

Stayed in the double en-suite with sea view. The room was spotless and very comfortable. Tea, coffee and snacks are available from the self service kitchen (honesty box on site). The hotel is located above a pub which can be noisy until 2am. that being said we didn't feel disturbed. would definitely return.

This is a waterfront property. We had a room with a private bathroom and the view of the loch. Gorgeous picture to wake up to. Bar downstairs did not bother us at all even we slept with open windows ( no air conditioning). Room was clean and bigger than in some European hotels we stay. Staff is friendly. The communal kitchen downstairs has refrigerators for guests and fully equipped. Also it is fridge with a food you can buy. The only negative experience is someone decided to smoke at 5 am right under our window (front door of the house) and smoke went directly to our room. But I can’t blame hotel for it.

Very comfortable room, with lovely sea view. Easy parking, adjacent to the hotel (£1 per hour between between 9am and 6pm). Short stroll around the bay to Oban ferry port. Excellently equipped guest kitchen / diner, with fantastic bay views.

Loved the location and view of the bay. Room and bed were fine. Handy that they had a pub/restaurant at street level. Would have been nice if they had a sheet explaining how the self-serve breakfast/kitchen worked (what was provided, what could be purchased nearby?). We did some exploring and figured it out, but it's details like that, that make a strong positive impression on guests. Building's interior finishes and decor need some freshening up, bathroom shower was tight quarters.

this hotel is across from the Firth of Lorn water going to the Atlantic. Beautiful view. they have an in and outdoor pub with plexiglas for warm overlooking the water too. the best is having a completely stocked large sit in kitchen to use. it has food that you can buy to make too. Great place to sit and enjoy some relaxation and views

Great location, great price. No lift, so be prepared for lugging luggage up stairs. The bar downstairs is rowdy and the bass from the music bleeds up into the floors even a couple flights up. Bring ear plugs to try to still get sleep. I think it only lasted until 2ish in the morning. Otherwise great accommodation. It was helpful to have a common area kitchen available for use. Comfortable beds. Enough outlets. Clean bathroom. Ability to turn off the heating (October visit) as it was initially warm in the room. No washcloths but large towels, bath mat, and hand towel was provided. Easy pay and display parking right next door.

Lovely , clean accomodation. Great little kitchen with spare supplies and honesty box. Room was cosy and bathroom immaculate. Really nothing bad to say , we had a great night .

Lovely old building with heaps of character, located right on the waterfront. Our room had excellent views of Oban harbour. The shared kitchen was fantastic - spacious, clean and very well-equipped. The staff were fabulous - friendly, welcoming and helpful

Great location and great staff. The room was incredibly clean and had great views in the midst of Storm Amy of the waves etc. When shutting the shower door, one side of the glass completely shattered. Obviously very embarassing as it's a sliding bi folding door so impossible to slam etc. The lady working on reception immediately moved us to a different room and contacted a first aider. The first aider cleaned up the small cuts on my feet and was just incredibly lovely given how mortified i was. We didnt actually hear the bar at all in our room. We did have a drink there and the staff were all very friendly. Would definitely come back, all of the staff are amazing.

Stayed in a room 7 for 2 nights. Matress on a bed needs changing, due to a masive dent in a middle. Kitchen in a hotel has everything needed for a stay. Car park is next to a hotel, £1 per hour, free after 6 p.m. Location is good.

Great location and great staff. The room was incredibly clean and had great views in the midst of Storm Amy of the waves etc. When shutting the shower door, one side of the glass completely shattered. Obviously very embarassing as it's a sliding bi folding door so impossible to slam etc. The lady working on reception immediately moved us to a different room and contacted a first aider. This is budget accommodation, but done well, with friendly service. Room was spacious and clean with a good bathroom. Sits above a busy bar, but on the 3rd floor we heard nothing when we went off to bed.

Smooth check in, friendly staff. Room as described, small, v clean and functional for our 1 night stay. Good WiFi. Immediately above the pub, no noise during the night, granted no live band on but still a lively pub. Parking at the end of row on building - pay & display.

My wife and i atayed 1 night at this hotel and we enjoyed our stay. The hotel itself is very central to Oban and we booked a room with a sea view and the room was spacious and had a lovely sea view. The room was very clean and tidy, and downstairs has a bar called Markie dans which serves good food & drink

I was very unhappy with my stay. The noise from the bar area. I was told noise from bar would stop at 1AM didn’t still till 2AM Access to kitchen for my 6 month old wasn’t available. And when asked a member of staff for access they was rude about it. We wasn’t told prior about limited access to the kitchen. Very uncomfortable and unprofessional did not feel welcome. I would like a refund due to the inconvenience and rudeness of staff. Please contact me back to resolve this matter.

The property is well located with an easy walk to everything. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Our only frustration was at check-in. My friend was not with us when I received the door code and did not know she needed one. The gentleman who checked us in was incredibly rude to her about this when she went to the main building to get the rest of her bags to bring them to our room in the building next door.

Great location and great staff. The room was incredibly clean and had great views in the midst of Storm Amy of the waves etc. When shutting the shower door, one side of the glass completely shattered. Obviously very embarassing as it's a sliding bi folding door so impossible to slam etc. The lady working on reception immediately moved us to a different room and contacted a first aider. The first aider cleaned up the small cuts on my feet and was just incredibly lovely given how mortified i was. We didnt actually hear the bar at all in our room. We did have a drink there and the staff were all very friendly. Would definitely come back, all of the staff are amazing.

Very comfortable room, with lovely sea view. Easy parking, adjacent to the hotel (£1 per hour between between 9am and 6pm). Short stroll around the bay to Oban ferry port. Excellently equipped guest kitchen / diner, with fantastic bay views.

Great location, great price. No lift, so be prepared for lugging luggage up stairs. The bar downstairs is rowdy and the bass from the music bleeds up into the floors even a couple flights up. Bring ear plugs to try to still get sleep. I think it only lasted until 2ish in the morning. Otherwise great accommodation. It was helpful to have a common area kitchen available for use. Comfortable beds. Enough outlets. Clean bathroom. Ability to turn off the heating (October visit) as it was initially warm in the room. No washcloths but large towels, bath mat, and hand towel was provided. Easy pay and display parking right next door.

My wife and i atayed 1 night at this hotel and we enjoyed our stay. The hotel itself is very central to Oban and we booked a room with a sea view and the room was spacious and had a lovely sea view. The room was very clean and tidy, and downstairs has a bar called Markie dans which serves good food & drink

Simple, affordable lodgings right near the water. The kitchen was wonderful with an honor system breakfast available. We enjoyed scrambled eggs, toast, and jam along with our complementary coffee.

Corran House is a very basic establishment at the north end of the downtown. The rooms are average, but comfortable. There is no lift, so you'll have to carry luggage up to your room. We did not take the breakfast as it was priced ala carte for pretty standard packaged muffins and items and honestly, guests are asked to wash their own crockery and utensils. We went to a coffee shop in town. There are two adjoining buildings and we were not in the one over Markie Dans so no complaints about noise. The carpark is literally right next door to the buildings and only 1 pound per hour so very reasonable (and free after 6pm and before 9pm). we were able to walk along the esplanade or main shopping street in 10-15 minutes through the town with no problems, and it's a very pleasant walk.

Convenient location, the room was very clean and had everything we needed. Loved the honesty box self service breakfast system in the guest kitchen, again it was spotless. We ate at the attached pub and enjoyed some fantastic live music. Food was great and hotel guests get a 10% discount. Cannot fault it!

The property was clean and well kept, the area was very walkable with easy overnight parking next door (paid, but very reasonably priced), and the pub in the same building was convenient with great food and drink options. Would go back and stay again!

This is a waterfront property. We had a room with a private bathroom and the view of the loch. Gorgeous picture to wake up to. Bar downstairs did not bother us at all even we slept with open windows ( no air conditioning). Room was clean and bigger than in some European hotels we stay. Staff is friendly. The communal kitchen downstairs has refrigerators for guests and fully equipped. Also it is fridge with a food you can buy. The only negative experience is someone decided to smoke at 5 am right under our window (front door of the house) and smoke went directly to our room. But I can’t blame hotel for it.

this hotel is across from the Firth of Lorn water going to the Atlantic. Beautiful view. they have an in and outdoor pub with plexiglas for warm overlooking the water too. the best is having a completely stocked large sit in kitchen to use. it has food that you can buy to make too. Great place to sit and enjoy some relaxation and views

I loved the ‘old-world’ atmosphere and the attitude of trust placed in the guests. Our room was so quiet and peaceful. We dined in Markie Dans in the evening and I loved the friendliness, the food, and the toe-tapping Scottish music played by a young accordion player. I would highly recommend Corran House for your stay in Oban!

Posizione comodissima, Il centro si trova a 5 minuti neanche a piedi.. parcheggio in strada ampio e disponibile . Staff molto gentile e con utili consigli su cosa visitare. Cucina comune pulita e fruibile in modalità self service

I wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you’re under 22 years old. We stayed on a Sunday night (no live music) so the loud bar music ended at 1am (fine, we knew what we were getting into). The people at the bar were also staying at the guest house and decided to continue their party in their rooms until 3am. It was unbelievably bad etiquette and without staff on site to enforce noise, there’s nothing to be done. We met other guests in the morning, some families with very young children and a wide range of ages. All had an awful night. Not appropriate to have young adult guests partying until 3am.

When you walk into the room upon arrival and you are greeted with a tub of ear plugs, you know you are in for a noisy night. An accordion playing live right below my room. Avoid!

Very good value for the money. Excellent location. Rooms were big with a high ceiling and a fairly modern bathroom. Rooms and the building as a whole felt tired and needed updating, but that is probably why the price was as good as it was. Would recommend for those on a mid-level budgt.
