The Safari Lodge that I stayed in was very comfortable and spacious. The kitchenette is quite sparsely equipped so don't expect to be able to do much more than bake a bacon sandwich. The Full English Breakfast was only £5 when booked teh night before, so you shouldn't need to cook unless you are staying for a few days.

Hotel is directly alongside Park so perfect for those with children visiting. We had other plans returning late and were dependant on a night watchman to let us in, albeit there was someone there and got in ok. Designated hotel car park is not big enough so we ended up parking in main park area which wasn’t a problem as winter but not so sure in summer. Served a purpose and for what we paid would use again.

After our stay at Gulliver's hotel we found that the reception staff were very good. The location was great short walk to the park and great parking options. We did find that the hotel was a little dated and we were disappointed that the restaurant in the hotel was closed so we had to find somewhere else to eat on site. The room was dated and had a funny smell on arrival and overall cleaning could of been better.

The bathroom was really cold. The towel rail didn't work. One of the USB chargers also didn't work in the lodge. Didn't realise I'd be on what is effectively a sofa bed within the lodge. Not very well lit when returning after dark. Parking at the actual hotel was almost impossible - fortunately there is a huge car park very nearby.

This was better and cheaper than a boring Premier Inn. I would recommend it for anyone that wants a change from the Purple Palace. Free parking near to the entrance. The food was nice at the restaurant, and the staff are lovely. The room was nice and big. Like most places, the drinks are quite expensive, £3 for a medium sized lemonade. £5.50 for a pint of lager.

No air con, boiling hot! Dusty rooms! Kids putting their heads in the marshmallow tossing fire pit literally and staff just stood there watching them, accident waiting to happen! So bad! No fans even available! 1 towel between 4! No hand soap or shower gel/ shampoo! Building work extremely loud from 7:15am onwards and no warnings regarding this! Staff are nice and welcoming though that’s the only plus side of the hotel.

A terrible outdated place with penny pinchers in charge. Be prepared to wash your hands with fitted dispensers in the bathtub or shower. This is terrible imagine you go for a shower and used the same dispenser with hundreds of dirty hands have touched. The do not give fans to customers due to mangers making a decision that they get broken. They will be happy to upgrade your room for a charge. Highly recommend visiting the theme park. I would not recommend staying there there is no air con and if it works you will be showering with a mixer tap as a shower.

We had originally booked to stay in the Dino den, upon arrival the pod was brilliant and just what we wanted, but later in the evening when we lifted the bed for our toddler to run around. Oh my gosh. The dirt was overwhelming, it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months and months ! And with a 1 year old, a dirty floor was a no go. We opened the windows when we got there because it felt w bit musty but put it down to the muggy air, when we inspected a bit more, the dirt didn’t just stop under the pull down bed, it was all over. It was awful. So we went to reception where 2 people were there and they was amazing in helping us, they moved us into the hotel, even showing us the room before we agreed to move. And insured us we’d be able to find help during the night to warm baby bottles etc. It wasn’t ideal moving at 8pm in the rain with a 1 year old but needs must. Everything else about the stay was fab… but if you’re looking to get away here in the pods… check the cleanliness before you commit. Thank you to the 2 reception staff for helping us that evening 5 stars for you both, but an easy 1 for the Dino pod cleanliness.

Fantastic room, very big, great condition and very clean. Food is good value, especially breakfast if you book in advance. I've stayed a few times before and will be back again when I'm in the area.

The rooms are very big. They have all that is needed when you stay for work purposes. The internet connection is superb. The staff is ever so nice and helpful. The rooms are always clean. When you open the window in the morning the birds are signing. My favourire place to stay when I travel for work

Booked a family suite with garden view room, opened the curtains and there is no garden but a sleep pod. Noise constantly in the evening from people going back and forth. Room was a nice size which was perfect, the mattress was so uncomfortable and could do with replacing. The bathroom could do with a bit of renovating. We were woken up at 3am from banging on the floor from the room above us, so this wasn’t ideal but I know you can’t tell kids to walk quietly. Our room was placed next to a fire door that was propped open to the bar area with kids running back and forth. We did have to ask for the door to be shut due to the noise and our little one was trying to sleep. The woman on reception didn’t seem impressed at me asking for a fire door to be shut and was very rude in her response. Breakfast was perfect to us as it wasn’t help yourself buffet and you paid for what you ordered. Only issue we had was we kept being asked by the waitress if the food she had in her hand was ours. Would stay again if needed (it wouldn’t be our first choice) but would make sure we requested a room on the higher floors.

Booked last minute, we were pleasantly surprised with the accommodation. We were given a family room despite having booked a twin, it was huge, 5 beds!! Towels, bedding, sheets etc were crisp and clean. Room was themed which was quite amusing, I'll bet the kids love these rooms. Dinner was also very well received. Icing on the cake was two free pints with our meal. The price for the night was less than £55 which again was great value for money. Overall very impressed, will definitely book again

Somewhere a bit different but be warned - the Wifi is absolutely terrible and breakfast is poor. Going to Gullivers with the kids? The family room is good and has a nicely done little cubby for the bairns. Staying for business and want to do some work in the evening? Avoid if you need to be online.

We stayed for 1 night, 2 adults 2 children. A cabin type accommodation fun every you need for a sort stay, only downfall the bed was horrible, queen bed and bunk beds we all didn't have a good night. Need to invest in new mattress
We stayed for 1 night, 2 adults 2 children. A cabin type accommodation fun every you need for a sort stay, only downfall the bed was horrible, queen bed and bunk beds we all didn't have a good night. Need to invest in new mattress

We had originally booked to stay in the Dino den, upon arrival the pod was brilliant and just what we wanted, but later in the evening when we lifted the bed for our toddler to run around. Oh my gosh. The dirt was overwhelming, it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months and months ! And with a 1 year old, a dirty floor was a no go. We opened the windows when we got there because it felt w bit musty but put it down to the muggy air, when we inspected a bit more, the dirt didn’t just stop under the pull down bed, it was all over. It was awful. So we went to reception where 2 people were there and they was amazing in helping us, they moved us into the hotel, even showing us the room before we agreed to move. And insured us we’d be able to find help during the night to warm baby bottles etc. It wasn’t ideal moving at 8pm in the rain with a 1 year old but needs must. Everything else about the stay was fab… but if you’re looking to get away here in the pods… check the cleanliness before you commit. Thank you to the 2 reception staff for helping us that evening 5 stars for you both, but an easy 1 for the Dino pod cleanliness.

Staff at check in/out were friendly and helpful. The Pod we stayed in was on the whole good, the only issue we had was a shower door had popped off its rails.

Requested a quiet room away from stairs & possible doors banging, allocated a room at the top of the stairs and over reception so had the front doors banging every time someone went through. Unable to charge anything to the room even though I offered for them to have a copy of my card details. This was a real pain as I was there for 3 days have having to pay for each thing I had separately, order a meal & have to pay, order a dessert & have to pay, have a drink & have to pay. This crated a lot of work for both me and the company processing all the receipts. Items on the breakfast menu not available for the entire length of my stay. All in all a very strange hotel to stay in and will not be returning on my next visit to the area.

Friendly staff, as a Safety Professional I do find it a bit worrying when I noticed that the top pane of glass was missing from a fire exit door. It would have been nice to have been told that there was no room service unless asked for, plus how to use the heater in the rm.

Brilliant loved it apart from no hot water for are 2 night stay witch took till check out to be sorted out even though we informed of the problem first night. And the maintenance man lied and told manager it was all working and checked. He never checked it and it was not working. However the lovley manager gave us a free night and we paid to stay another night also and she did us a good deal on that . We will be back soon can’t wait

Hotel is directly alongside Park so perfect for those with children visiting. We had other plans returning late and were dependant on a night watchman to let us in, albeit there was someone there and got in ok. Designated hotel car park is not big enough so we ended up parking in main park area which wasn’t a problem as winter but not so sure in summer. Served a purpose and for what we paid would use again.

After our stay at Gulliver's hotel we found that the reception staff were very good. The location was great short walk to the park and great parking options. We did find that the hotel was a little dated and we were disappointed that the restaurant in the hotel was closed so we had to find somewhere else to eat on site. The room was dated and had a funny smell on arrival and overall cleaning could of been better.

This was better and cheaper than a boring Premier Inn. I would recommend it for anyone that wants a change from the Purple Palace. Free parking near to the entrance. The food was nice at the restaurant, and the staff are lovely. The room was nice and big. Like most places, the drinks are quite expensive, £3 for a medium sized lemonade. £5.50 for a pint of lager.

The pictures on the web is outdated. The hotel in general is run down and old. Wifi reception is not always available and slow when it is. You need to book a time for dinner and breakfast and when you get there, then the tables are not not available, forcing you to go somewhere else. No discount to enter the park for hotel guest!!. Total waste of money and time

I am not sure why hotels.com showed this up for business acclamation, this doesn’t suit business stay purposes, it’s very noisy with kids but that’s expected and I wouldn’t have raised this as issue if I visit this place with my kids. And secondly there is no chance we can have working lunch here as lunch is not served at hotel, it’s served in the park restaurant that is not idea for business stay, and for dinner same they served pizzas in the hotel and agin will be ideal place for kids. But it was quiet to sleep when park is closed for visitors. Thanks

Fantastic room, very big, great condition and very clean. Food is good value, especially breakfast if you book in advance. I've stayed a few times before and will be back again when I'm in the area.

Booked last minute, we were pleasantly surprised with the accommodation. We were given a family room despite having booked a twin, it was huge, 5 beds!! Towels, bedding, sheets etc were crisp and clean. Room was themed which was quite amusing, I'll bet the kids love these rooms. Dinner was also very well received. Icing on the cake was two free pints with our meal. The price for the night was less than £55 which again was great value for money. Overall very impressed, will definitely book again

Somewhere a bit different but be warned - the Wifi is absolutely terrible and breakfast is poor. Going to Gullivers with the kids? The family room is good and has a nicely done little cubby for the bairns. Staying for business and want to do some work in the evening? Avoid if you need to be online.

Stayed here several times. Every time price and quality have been fantastic. We ate at the restaurant this time and the meal was brilliant. Freshly made with a really good selection on the menu.

2 night stay, family room. Was very basic but had what was needed, room & area could have done with a fresh paint. There was a lot of staff around, majority of them seemed like they were new so not quite sure what was going on. Slow service to order dinner, but again this was due to new staff. All as helpful as they could have been with anything asked & if they didn’t know something would go find out.

My Wife was locked in the Toilet because the Handle broke. And the Bathroom was very smelly. But in total for 100 pound a night all good. My Kids liked it a lot.

Sadly as much as my kids loved the room we won’t be returning don’t listen to the website when it says noise curfew is 9.30pm!! Because you get inconsiderate parents that allow their kids to scream outside till 11.30pm!! We had teenage girls booting on our door at 10pm woke up my daughter and absolutely terrified her!! I tried ringing the 24hr reception and no one answered! Just so poor
