I had a lovely stay at Stoneleigh barn, Rupert and Camilla were really helpful and attentive. My room was lovely and the bathroom was perfect. Everything was clean and tidy, the garden was beautiful and Nutmeg the dog was really sweet.

- nice big room. Has shower and claw foot tub. Lovely grounds. The room was a bit cold but the owner gave me a heater to use. The place was hard to find as it was on a tiny road next to the regular highway. Free parking. Owner very nice. Made me feel very welcome. Breakfast was perfect

We recently enjoyed a stay at Stoneleigh Barn near Sherborne. The owner was most welcoming and thoughtful whilst not at all intrusive. Our accommodation was spacious and comfortable in the “Red Room”, and we appreciated the wonderful cooked breakfast in the light conservatory each morning. We would certainly stay again if we were in the area. Thankyou.

A thoroughly enjoyable stay in this fine old converted barn. Apart from the handsome and well appointed interiors the extensive garden is a joy to behold. The hosts, Rupert and Camilla offered the warmest of welcomes during our brief sojourn - well above and beyond commercial niceties. We were made to feel so comfortable - honoured guests in their lovely home. Thank you.

A wonderful nights stay. Lovely old house, our room was large and comfortable with a really large shower and bath. Rupert was the perfect host and very friendly and welcoming! We had everything we needed and Rupert even have me a good running route. Breakfast was excellent with a lovely garden view. Will definitely stay again and would thoroughly recommend!

It was amazing! Very clean and lovely dog, she’s very welcoming also great food. We even got offered wellies to go for a muddy walk as we didn’t bring some. The hosts also let us borrow some games to play in the evening, lovely breakfast, lovely room, very accommodating.

I booked the Red room and in the photos it looked ok however having driven 200 miles to the location i found it to be very poor. The tray on which complimentary tea and coffee are placed was filthy the kettle was dirty the skirting boards covered in dust the wood floor under the bed has a thick layer of dust. Tge curtains was hung in such a way the looked like they were thrown in place. The bedding was not ironed and looked like it was from a previous booking. The tables on which breakfast is served was bare wood which was covered in stains and grubby. All in all a terrible experience...if it wasn't for the fact i had driven so far and not knowing the area was unsure where alternative b&bs were i would have walked out. The milk for your tea was in a flask which smelt and the milt seperated once poured into the tea so i threw id down the loo and went outxand purchased tea bags sugar and fresh milk so i knew what i was drinking was ok. I strongly recommend dont book here its not run well and i have taken pictures which i sent to the owners who have failed to reply. It was £190 badly spent I should have booked a travel lodge.

Owner was super friendly and recommended an amazing pub for dinner. Cooked us a lovely breakfast in the morning at our requested time. Rooms were huge with a nice bath and shower. Wish we could of stayed longer then a night. Thanks!

A lovely overnight stay. We had two beautiful rooms. Tastefully decorated. Bed very comfortable with super soft bed linen. We had a good choice for breakfast which came quickly and was delicious. The host was very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful location and place to stay. Room really comfortable, nice and cool even on a hot day and the bathroom was sumptuous. The host couldn't have been more welcoming and the recommendation of the local pub The Rose and Crown Inn Trent was very welcome too. A lovely trip

We had a lovely welcome from Rupert who was an excellent host. Our room was spacious with everything we required - even fresh milk. Breakfast was perfect with fresh fruit and yogurt, cereal and a choice of cooked breakfasts which were cooked to perfection. My gluten free diet was catered for very well. Can highly recommend.

We stayed at Stoneleigh as it was close to the Sherborne Country Fair that is held in the grounds of Sherborne Castle and gardens that is a lovely place to visit, my Son was running the dragon boat event. Stoneleigh is a very comfortable stay, Rupert was very helpful in booking us a table at an Italian restaurant, we were offered tea on arrival, we had the red room that had a bath and walk in shower, breakfast was amazing and kept us going for the rest of the day. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again if in the area.

We had everything we needed and Rupert even have me a good running route. Breakfast was excellent with a lovely garden view. Will definitely stay again and would thoroughly recommend!

We stayed at Stoneleigh as it was close to the Sherborne Country Fair that is held in the grounds of Sherborne Castle and gardens that is a lovely place to visit, my Son was running the dragon boat event. Stoneleigh is a very comfortable stay, Rupert was very helpful in booking us a table at an Italian restaurant, we were offered tea on arrival, we had the red room that had a bath and walk in shower, breakfast was amazing and kept us going for the rest of the day. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again if in the area.

- nice big room. Has shower and claw foot tub. Lovely grounds. The room was a bit cold but the owner gave me a heater to use. The place was hard to find as it was on a tiny road next to the regular highway. Free parking. Owner very nice. Made me feel very welcome. Breakfast was perfect

We recently enjoyed a stay at Stoneleigh Barn near Sherborne. The owner was most welcoming and thoughtful whilst not at all intrusive. Our accommodation was spacious and comfortable in the “Red Room”, and we appreciated the wonderful cooked breakfast in the light conservatory each morning. We would certainly stay again if we were in the area. Thankyou.

I booked the Red room and in the photos it looked ok however having driven 200 miles to the location i found it to be very poor. The tray on which complimentary tea and coffee are placed was filthy the kettle was dirty the skirting boards covered in dust the wood floor under the bed has a thick layer of dust. Tge curtains was hung in such a way the looked like they were thrown in place. The bedding was not ironed and looked like it was from a previous booking. The tables on which breakfast is served was bare wood which was covered in stains and grubby. All in all a terrible experience...if it wasn't for the fact i had driven so far and not knowing the area was unsure where alternative b&bs were i would have walked out. The milk for your tea was in a flask which smelt and the milt seperated once poured into the tea so i threw id down the loo and went outxand purchased tea bags sugar and fresh milk so i knew what i was drinking was ok. I strongly recommend dont book here its not run well and i have taken pictures which i sent to the owners who have failed to reply. It was £190 badly spent I should have booked a travel lodge.

Our second stay at Stoneleigh Barn and again it did not disappoint. Great host in a lovely building in a beautiful part of the country. Very comfortable bed , spotless bathroom and a superb breakfast. …….. and the icing on the cake …Nutmeg !!

We had a lovely welcome from Rupert who was an excellent host. Our room was spacious with everything we required - even fresh milk. Breakfast was perfect with fresh fruit and yogurt, cereal and a choice of cooked breakfasts which were cooked to perfection. My gluten free diet was catered for very well. Can highly recommend.

A wonderful nights stay. Lovely old house, our room was large and comfortable with a really large shower and bath. Rupert was the perfect host and very friendly and welcoming! We had everything we needed and Rupert even have me a good running route. Breakfast was excellent with a lovely garden view. Will definitely stay again and would thoroughly recommend!

Very warm welcome from Rupert and Nutmeg the dog! Lovely room with huge bathroom. Breakfast was very generous and delicious, very accommodating with times. If travelling from Sherborne ignore Satnav instructions to do a lefthand U turn off A3030 and turn off via West Lane instead to avoid 2 hairpin turns!

Lovely stay. The room was spacious and clean. Rupert was very helpful and nutmeg the little dog 🐕 is super friendly and cute - I wanted to bring her home haha. There is plenty of parking space and a covered area if you are travelling on a motorbike like we were. The breakfast in the morning was delicious. We would definitely go back 😋

Rupert was lovely and very welcoming. Stoneleigh Barn is a beautiful, quirky old building in a wonderfully peaceful rural location — perfect for getting away from everything, although it is quite a distance from shops and places to eat, so worth planning ahead. Our room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was huge with a lovely big bath and shower. A few areas could perhaps benefit from a little extra attention to detail, but nothing that detracted from our stay. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order at the time we’d arranged, which was lovely. Rupert was friendly and accommodating throughout and we really enjoyed our stay.

The room was large but due to its location has a smell of damp. We had a great breakfast. The host was very welcoming and friendly, and breakfast was excellent. The room itself was spacious, which we appreciated. Thank you to the host for his hospitality, but unfortunately the smell of damp was nothing he could do about.
