Ocean Lodge Hotel South

Well, if your looking for " ECONOMY", and just somewhere to lay your head, then this is absolutely the place for you. Our ROOM was literally just a room and a tiny bathroom that has been updated at some point. Good luck using the toilet for you sit down needs. You knees will be AGAINST the wall. No proper exhaust vent in the bathroom, and two lights that worked occasionally. No hair dryer,no phone,no clock, and spotty free wi-fi. Ready for my favorite? The HOT WATER for the shower takes about 5-10 minutes to get to the room. Why? Because the circulation pump is on the other side oc the building. WHAT??? Oh, and lets not forgot about the $10/day parking fee on the next block away from the hotel,AND the fees & taxes. For the life of me i cant understand why when i asked the agent at the desk (Ava?) if we could switch to a different room,she said they were 'sold out' ,but the 'VACANCY' light on the road sign stayed illuminated. One other thing, the bathroom window was broken ( security latch, bottom handle). When i mentioned it,they said "oh yeah we know about it, but cant afford to fix windows". We survived it,as it wasn't completely awful,but for cost of nearly $800,and the tiny,tiny size of the room,we felt like they price gouged for the weekend music festival we attended.

The property was good. The stay was good but had to call to get towels and wash rags for the day. But from Expedia setting up my stay,I had to pay for my visit when I got there And had to pay 10 dollar a day extra to park a day .. that wasn't cool at all. If I paid directly to hotel , i wouldn't had to pay that extra $70.

We were not informed of the house keeping policy. To tell the housekeepers we needed room service, even with the do not disturb sign off the door. Other than that the hotel was well ran. We came back late one night with no where to park. Called the office and someone came and took care of us.

The room was nice and clean. Bathroom newly renovated. Nice location. Parking is very tight. Hard time to park my yukon. They have another Parking lot across the street but even there i couldn't park. I stayed on the second floor no smoking section but people on the first floor smoked(weed) so the whole building stunk.

I liked the location and the free parking

Very convenient and close to pretty much everything. Parking is great, easy to get in and out of.

Stayed in Ocean Log Hotel from June 30th to July 3rd, 2023. All pictures in website are not mashed when we’re there. Room and Bathroom are extremely SMALL. Dirty Bed. Dirty Towels. So noisy. Parking are terrible. Never came back again😡

The room was small, but it was all we needed since we were there to vacation on the beach which was 2 blocks away. Parking was convenient and free.

Did not stay. Place was no accommodating. Horrible smell, mixture of smoke and or vomit.

It was loud you can hear everything , the sheets had blood on the the wash cloth so stained and dirty

Lamp shade was moldy and comforter was dingy

We booked late, so honestly weren't expecting much. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was immaculate, well maintained, and the beds were very comfortable. It's 2 blocks from the middle of the boardwalk so it's very convenient and we had a great time.

Small room but very clean

The toilet was closed to the wall it was hard to seat, carpet dirty the blanket old, I didn’t like it for the price I paid I thought will be nice hotel I would never go back to that hotel.

Bathrooms were moldy, lamps all rusty, it has a weird odor all over the place, super small bathroom & the place overall was small & antigenic.

For the price we found our room comfortable and clean.

The room was so small. Like dorm room size. We had to sit on toilet sideways because it is so close to wall infront of you your knees hit the wall.This is not at all like the photos represented.

The property is located within walking distance from the beach. The price was high for the type of hotel. The room space was small and the shower was too small and uncomfortable.

I enjoyed this property due to its location and proximity to the boardwalk and beach. The window unit air conditioning was a bit noisy but that was my only issue. Over all it is worth the price because most of the time is spent out enjoying ocean city activities. I’d definitely consider returning

Economy room is more like a closet. Door scrapes the bed when opening. You have to sit sideways on the toilet because that’s the only way you can. Building was old and it showed. Staff was wonderful and helpful, but I will not stay here again.

Room was just super tiny,I'm 6'2 and 250 pds,.....just too tiny

Noise from very old air conditioner. And lack of proper windows felt like we were soeeping in open space next to cross over. We could not sleep. Also wash room was so tiny. Worst stay so far.

WiFi was not working

Biggest complaint is the bathroom, the front of the toilet is very close to the wall.

I got checked into a one double bed when i needed two beds. The guy at the desk was super helpful and within minutes i got a new roo. Which was a two bedroom suit.

The old lady in the front desk was rude and had a terrible attitude. Not to mention the policies are ridiculous. 50 dollars more per person. 250 dollars if the room is “ too messy” or damaged. And lastly 200 cash deposit. They old lady forgot to write down that we gave her the deposit and she was trying not to return the money after an employee checked the room to make sure everything was good. Terrible place

the overall property is alright at best. when i got there, there was flies in my room. the room also had a slight smell but that was easily fixable. we stayed for 4 days. our microwave, fridge, and AC went out twice. even though they say 24 hour front desk they aren’t there the majority of the time so id recommend calling to save yourself time. the customer service wasn’t bad and they were kind but PLEASE BE AWARE, you will be charged additional fees that they don’t disclose on the site so be aware if that. the property has potential but is lacking in professionalism and cleanliness.

Room was to small and front desk lady was rude

Employees were not available at check in times leaving people waiting all day/for hours. A guy came who did not even work there to help a group of us waiting but at that point it had already been multiple hours. When trying to get ahold of someone they would tell us a time only for it to go past that time and lead us to call again.

Third time here. Close to beach. Staff and housekeeping are terrific. Will be back in September for the fun.

We were two blocks from the boardwalk which made it very nice so that we didn't have to pay for parking. Customer service and employees very nice. The room and bathroom may be small but honestly the trip wasn't meant to be spent in a room so it worked out for us, because we just needed it as a place to sleep and shower. If you want high end and brand new for your style, then not your place to stay. But it worked well for what we needed for our few days of being in the city.

My boyfriend and I were a little nervous about booking form this property, especially with a lot of the reviews, but it was the only affordable option, so we took it. When we got there, the room was pretty well kept- but everything was as we expected from what we paid for. If you tend to read the reviews, we already knew it was going to be small, but honestly it was a good size for a party of two. There was a working fridge and microwave, the bathroom did its job. Nothing really broke, other than the toilet where it only refused to flush once. The hot was good, occasionally if you used the shower for too long (like any other shower), it got a little cool, but then immediately went back to normal. The rug was a little dirty, but whatever, we just wore sandals or socks on the floor. There was also very small yellow stains on the blanket, but they seem to do their own laundry at the hotel, so I understand that it might be difficult to get any stains out at all. The air conditioning was good and it was a VERY short walk from the boardwalk. Not even a random part, but it was in the perfect spot to get to the boardwalk where we were in the middle of everything. The beach was lovely and it was great having the ability to move back and forth from the hotel as we please. Overall it was a good stay, even if there were some minor flaws, it’s to be expected with the cheap price we paid. The staff was nice and gave us explanations as we called for it and helped us with any issues present.

A bit noisy at night because it’s on a Main Street but it’s also a great location, very walkable to beach and boardwalk and with several convenient shops right across the street. Property is older but well maintained and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Thank you for a great short vacation experience.

This property is in perfect walking distance to the beach and the Ocean City boardwalk. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The room and bathroom were very small. The room itself it outdated, but the bathroom had be updated. I would recommend staying here.

Got what I paid for, close to everything

The rooms are too tiny even the bathroom. They should also implement some sort of light breakfast. The rooms gets so hot sometimes and the noise of moving the bed is too much.
